Sindre's travels had taken her west. The north had been her playground for some time, but she'd grown restless there and taken up wandering again. In contrast to her favorite haunts, the west was a rather dry place. To get to the wetland oasis she was taking refuge in, Sindre had first made her way across a desert. Her paws had blistered on the sand and thanks to a stiff wind, a layer of fine dust coated her back. But she'd made it and now, with the dry and boring stretch behind her, Sindre had her sights set on a nearby pool that looked perfect for soaking in. Slowly she hobbled closer. Honestly she was a little afraid to look at her paw pads. Her left forepaw was giving her the most trouble and she'd taken to favoring it protectively. The last thing she needed was for the blisters to bust open. She wasn't a healer, but she knew an open blister could develop an infection, and that was the last thing she needed. With a sigh Sindre sank down into the pool. Swirls of dirt rippled off of her as the water soaked into her fur. The cool water offered a nice respite from the heat of the day and Sindre let her eyes close in contented bliss. Aw, yes. "Talk" "You" Think

Dómari bounded happily through the estuary, tail wagging as he went. He was pleased with the change in the weather and the happy singing of the birds. It helped to breathe life back into him and chase away some of the depression that had been lingering just below the surface since the violence of the raid and his sudden homesickness. Though there was another reason for his good mood. He'd ran into a gentle little healer who listened patiently as he asked all kinds of questions. He'd learned about a plant called Marsh Mallow and now he wanted to find some. The estuary was a well known hot spot for plant life and so it was his first stop. Maybe he could collect a few other plants to take back to Justice to see if she knew what they were.

He was on the trail, keeping his eye out for his quarry when his gaze fell on a woman laying in one of the pools. Dómari's heart stopped.  He recognized that coat anywhere but he didn't dare believe that his sister was really right in front of him. He blinked a few times and when she failed to vanish joy came bubbling up through his throat and out of his mouth in an elated yell. "SINDRE!" Dómari bounded toward her and pounced, seeking to wrap his arms around the base of her neck and flop right on top of her like he used to when he was a little pup.

Ahhhh, this was great. Just what she needed after a hellish hike. The coolness of the water was almost enough to chill her; Sindre could feel her skin prickling as it tried to decide whether or not to cover her in goosebumps. Really, this was perfect. Now all she needed was a big hunky guy to stroll up with a rabbit and strike up a conversation. On second thought, the hunk and the hare could come in later. It was nap time. She scooted closer to the edge of the pool so she could rest her chin on dry ground. A shout - her name? - split the air. Sindre's eyes snapped open just in time to see a dark shape loom over her. She started to rise, but before she could, the man enveloped her in a bear hug. The blur that had raced towards her had looked familiar. Those eyes, that white mask... Her eyes widened as it clicked. In disbelief she asked, "Domari?" Already knowing it to be true, she relaxed into his embrace. He was smothering her in fur so she wasn't sure where to aim, so Sindre haphazardly peppered his neck in kisses. She hadn't seen her baby brother in years! "Talk" "You" Think

Dómari succeeded in wrapping his arms around his surprised sister as he buried his face in his fur and drank in her scent, pleased she wasn't some illusion. It felt like it had been so long since he'd seen her. She peppered him with kisses and he giggled before slipping away and moving to where she could easily see him, his tail still wagging fiercely. "It's so good to see you Sindre! Where have you been? How is everyone?" Suddenly everything in his life came rushing into his head and trying to slip out his mouth at the same time. "Sindre! I was in a raid! I poked a guys eyes out, two guys and there was this really mean guy who got away but Justice, she's my new friend, attacked their alpha and won! It was so cool!"

Domari pulled away far too soon for her liking. It had been years since she'd seen him. She almost couldn't believe it. He felt so solid and real; she would have loved to hug him longer. Her little brother had made it. She didn't know about the others, but seeing him gave her hope. Sindre couldn't stop looking at him; couldn't stop grinning either. Nothing in their surroundings held a candle to the sight of her baby brother. She was proud of him. God, she was so proud and relieved. He looked strong and well fed; he'd done well for himself. Was that a pack she smelled on him? Good for him! Her smile faltered a bit when he asked about the others. "I'm doing well, but...I haven't seen the others in years," she admitted. Suddenly it occurred to her that he'd said something about...poking a guy's eyes out? With her thoughts on their siblings she'd glossed over that bit originally, but now? Puzzled, she looked up at him. "You did what?" A raid, he said? "That sounds..." She wasn't sure what to say. "It sounds like you're doing well." "Talk" "You" Think
