We Like It Loud [Pack Meeting]
It'd been some tie since Lirim had held a pack meeting and that realization had dawned on him a few nights ago. There were still things to discuss, like the possibility of a joint activity with Abaven. He'd told the alpha that spring time would be the best and he was still hoping that Sparrow would be interested. With Hailey gone, they were down a healer and Rory was half tempted to pick up the trade himself, if only just the basics, so he could at least help out a bit more.
He'd picked a rather warm afternoon to finally call the pack together. Clouds partially covered the sun and offered a faint amount of coverage from the heat. He padded towards the normal meeting spot and took a seat in the sand next to the water than ran through the territory. He waited for a few moments, enjoying the silence the valley had to offer, before he raised his head and let out a booming howl calling them all together.

The call of Rory for a meeting disturbed her from her rest in the sun. She wasn't the most productive member she knew but she certainly liked to be on time and active for the most part. She rolled to her stomach before getting up and giving a bark for Alois to come down from his nest. He glided down swiftly and she move carefully but quickly towards the meeting place.
She arrived and looked to frost who had arrived a moment before her. Then to Rory. Seemed she was the first member here. That was fine she could relax a little in the summer spots before the meeting. She moved towards Rory first and gave frost a smile in passing. She aimed a quick gentle head butt at Rory's shoulder before she moved past him and took her spot. It was there she slowly eased down to the ground to lay in a patch of sun. She would wait in the silence and love it. Though she could feel a kick in her gut and she looked to it for a moment before closing her eyes content to enjoy this silence.

Jewell had beat him there it seemed though he didn't really mind and he gently brushed against her back as he approached, a silent sign of affection. Then he turned his attention to his brother and Frost. He knew what he rank meant when it came to his duties but when it came to formalities... Well he was lost.
Torin tried to think back to any meetings that had happened while Rory had held his rank and he was drawing a blank, so instead he dithered on his paws, shooting the alpha pair a pleading look, to let him know where to go.

It had been a lovely day out so Breasal had attempted to make the most of it and get some hunting done to make himself useful and pass the time. He considered maybe going out the the battlefield and getting some training in instead, since he was a fighter and all, but at least this way he didn't have to really leave home to do it. Or maybe he should call for someone in the pack to spar with here... He pondered his indecisiveness as he quietly stalked the scent of a small herd of deer. There was plenty of daylight left, perhaps he could do both. A howl interrupted his train of thought and his head popped up to listen. Oh, a meeting! It had been quite a while since they'd had one of those. Easily abandoning his current task, he turned and trotted off toward the call. Of course he was far enough away that he knew he wouldn't be the first one there so he didn't rush. When he got there he was surprised by how few wolves were there, but he tried not to worry about it. Maybe they were all just running behind like himself. He settled down near Torin and gave Rory and Frost both a grin before he let his gaze drift around and watch for other members of the pack to arrive. |
Zuriel crossed back into the pack's territory from another half-hearted search mission for her one last remaining missing son and immediately heard the howl for a pack meeting. That was impeccable timing if she had ever seen it. She found a nook in a tree to tuck away the herbs she had carried back with her, just to keep herself form having to go all the way back to the den first. Making a note of where it was so she could come back for it later, she headed off to join in on the meeting. She felt like she should have been one of the last to arrive considering how far she had to go, but there was a surprisingly few number of wolves there. Her own children were the most notably missing. She settled down and looked around for a moment, giving everyone there a small nod. Moments later she saw Daelos trotting over to join them so that was a relief. Hopefully Miach would be here soon as well. She pressed her nose to her daughter's cheek briefly when she sat down before turning her attention back toward the front, tipping her ears forward to listen. |
Daelos barely even noticed the howl when it called for her, along with everyone else, to go to the pack meeting. She was in the large den she shared with her mother and she had her head down in the stores of herbs they kept there. She was changing up the order they were organized in from type to use and digging out new little alcoves to make room for a couple of new ones that she and her mother had collected on their trip. She partially wished they could go explore again, but she was still happy to be home all the same. As the howl ended and echoed through the territory it finally clicked with her and her head popped up. Oh! Whoops! She almost missed it entirely. She quickly finished up the piece of the herb store she was working on and then rushed out of the den, giving herself a quick shake to straighten out her perpetually dusty fur as she went. She immediately went to her mom's side, her tail wagging gently as she settled down beside her and felt her nose press to her cheek. She looked around at everyone that had gathered already, but she didn't see her brother here yet. She was happy to have him home of course, but they hadn't been together in so long she didn't know how to react. She waited quietly for either more wolves to show up or for the meeting to start - whichever came first. |
Oh boy! She was so late! She raced back to pack lands as fast as her paws would carry her, the wind streaming against her fur. Her tongue hung out, flopping in the wind as she raced to try and get there before she ended up missing the whole thing! She had gone pretty far from Lirim on another exploration trip, and every other day she was wandering further and further since she had explored the majority of the lands that surrounded their home.
The young woman would barrel into the pack lands, ignoring any obstacles in her path and practically running straight through bushes, grasses, and occasionally leaping over a rabbit hole. Rabbits and birds scattered in her wake, and although she was hungry from all her running, she didn't dare stop to try and chase down a meal. She would finally make it to the meeting, her fur decorated with dirt, leaves, twigs, and everything else she had picked up during her kamikaze run to get here! Completely out of breath, she sauntered over to Rory and dramatically flopped against him for a moment, "I-I made...it! She sucked in a breath before hopping away and flopping on the ground not too far from the front, tongue hanging out in the dirt as she lied on her side. That had to be the fastest she had ever run before!
