He was hard at work now that the hot sun had went down and the moon was up. He didn't want to work in the heat of the day because a combination of the heat and his dark coat could be fairly dangerous. So he did minor things, mostly sleep since his plans were to work through the night. Now he was full out trying to get his job done, digging away beneath one of the willows. Most would think that he was simply making a den, but his plans were a lot more complicated then that.

He needed storage dens for his things, not just one but several and since he had decided to settle in the Willow's he had decided to get himself set up to continue living here. Whether he created a pack or not he still had plans of setting up trading with other packs and he needed spots to store his things. The first one he would be digging was for herbs since now was the prime time to herb hunt. His well muscled legs made quick work and he didn't stop for a break until he began to tire. When he did begin to tire he moved away from his work in progress to a creek nearby, stopping for a long drink.

He had nothing to do really except kill time. But kill time for what? He didn't really have anything to kill time for...he frowned as he looked into the creek, watching little miniscule fish dart around. He hadn't seen his brother since Dauntless disbanded, and he couldn't even say he really missed it. He hadn't been there very long to learn and feel what it was really like to be in a pack, so the loss of it didn't hit him hard, if at all. His goal now he supposed was to find his family. His mother would still be in Auster, right? Or had she moved on? What if she had died?? He was worried now, and suddenly he had a new goal. He needed to find his mother and make sure she was alright.

But...where to start looking? The black and gold male moved downstream, trying to think of a course of action. Where would he even start? Should he start off where he had last seen her? That would require going back to Auster, and while he was closer now then he would have been if he were still in that pack, the journey across the sand bridge didn't appeal very much to him. He didn't particularly like the ocean. It was too big, and he couldn't even begin to imagine what might be lurking in its depths. All manner of monsters and--no. He couldn't think about those things. Shaking off the icky feeling he had, he trotted hurriedly along the stream. Soon though, he came upon another male. A large male. Much larger than him, and he stopped. Rein was several feet away, apparently closer than he wanted to be thanks to his strange thoughts of ocean monsters. Maybe the guy wouldn't notice him. Just in case that was an option, he didn't say anything. Instead, he tried to play it off by moving to the stream and lowering his muzzle to the water, taking in quick and hurried drinks.
