She couldn’t help feeling relieved that Amos had joined the pack. For one, it was nice to have someone closer to her age. For another, the pack needed ambitious wolves. He was ambitious, and in the same paw, cheerful about it.
There were several things mulling around in her head as she gazed down at the arrays of hides, sinew, sharp sticks, and furs. For one, there weren’t enough wolves left in the pack to launch a search party for any of those who had gone missing—her mother and brother among the missing.
Now that she was a yearling, she could go out and seek out wolves that were possible assets to the pack, for her father to evaluate. That was, in truth, a part of her duties as Future, and good practice for when she would be doing the evaluations herself.
She was planning to visit the Battlefield for the first time, but first, she had a spar to do with Amos. In fact… she huffed out a sigh, rising from the array of crafting items and giving them a glance over before calling for her cousin Paladin.
When he appeared through the mouth of the cave, inky brow-points lifting in pleasant inquiry, she asked, “I’m going to ask Amos to spar with me… want to be the Witness?”
Naturally the Cleric agreed, adding “Perhaps I’ll spar him as well, if he’s willing.”
The Future gave a toothy grin as she led the way out into the wooded hillside and further, out onto the plains and to the meeting place. She glanced around at the clear area, reminiscing that she should have gone through her first meeting long ago. She already had plans for the pack for when her father stepped down. A clean slate, a refresher of the laws, and maybe a few new ones, or replacements.
She shrugged off the thoughts for the time being, however, tilting her head back and calling for her first friend, inviting him to spar. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Paladin take a seat on the boulder, snowy forepaws crossed as he waited to watch.

At first glance, Aurielle's coat is pure white.. Her fur has an iridescent quality (like moonstones) where the fur shimmers different colors under various angles of light: in this case, the colors shown by rainbow moonstones. Not one hair on her hide is a solid unnatural color, but, ya know, it's really hard to convey that in still art :P
Aurielle's English is heavily laden with an Irish, Swedish mixed accent.
Her family is allowed to crash all her threads, Private and Open.
As of Autumn Year 14, Aurielle glows with a bright blue-white bio-luminescence in her fur, and bears a marking over her left eye - see profile and reference.

He’d been sorting herbs, pondering the next lesson to be held for the pack’s healing inclined wolves when his young cousin called for him. Ears perking, he rose from the pile, making a mental note of where he’d stopped off – ‘H’ for Helonias Root, or Blazing Star, and useful for stopping bleeding and miscarriages – as he trotted out of his alcove, brows lifting as he studied the shimmering white girl.
Her dirty brown muzzle had faded to the same pristine white base over the last month or so as the last of her puppy fur had shed out to be replaced by the adult fur. At her question, he nodded, rather glad for the distraction. Sterling hadn’t come back from her traveling and it made him feel oddly sad. But she hadn’t been under an obligation to stay, and she hadn’t been fully comfortable living here. Perhaps it was for the best.
He followed Aurielle to her chosen sparring place and as she called for the boy, Amos, he chose a spot on the boulder and settled on it, belly against the stone and crossed his fore-paws, ears perked with interest as he scanned the Plains for an approaching figure.

Trotting jauntily into the meeting area, tail wagging lightly as he called, "Making good on what we discussed already?" he called, referring to their first meeting as he came to stand a reasonable distance from the younger girl. Glancing up at the wolf on the rock, he quickly added a greeting, "And a witness, how official. Good to meet you, I'm Amos Allantide, though I'm tempted to say you might already know that."
He refocused on his shimmering opponent with a gleeful smile. She sure was growing fast, wasn't she? Amazing to think she'd been a pup when they met and now was already a yearling. Next season he'd be two... yikes, time sure was relentless. "Enough beating around the bush though, hm? Are you ready, 'rielle?" His legs were already sliding into position, ears falling back as he began to prepare. Time to show one another what they'd learned.

As Amos arrived, a smile flickered into place as she took in his appearance, nodding at his question. As he paused to greet Paladin, Aurielle approached, squinting at his nose and grinning, a front paw lifting to poke at the top of his muzzle. “This is my cousin Paladin. You’ve got dirt caked here, by the way.”
A light swipe of her paw dislodged it and she was bouncing lithely back to put a short distance of four feet between herself and Amos, turning to face him fully and grinning at him, gradated blue eyes twinkling with a bit of challenge. “Of course I’m ready. I’ve been looking forward to this first dance.”
Her tail waved cheerfully behind her in a flowing banner before she flicked it out behind her, falling level with her spine as her head mirrored that height, shoulders sliding forward in a rolling shrug. Her mane made it difficult for the hackles along her neck to rise, but the shorter tufts of fur that insulated the base of the long hair stood on end as best as it could. Her hackles along her spine had no such issues and rose in a stiff ridge from her shoulders to her tail.
Her chin tucked over her throat, though his larger size made such an area slightly less vulnerable to his teeth, and let her jaws part slightly, long upper canines glinting in a grin of mischief that morphed into a snarling expression as her eyes narrowed slightly, ears flicking back to pin against her cranium. Her scruff rolled into a protective layer of fat, fur and mane.
Each of these defenses fell into place even as she pushed off, hoping to close the four-foot distance between herself and Amos swiftly enough to catch him by surprise and hit hard. She veered slightly to her right, aiming to come in on his left side while still face to face— merely slightly off center. Her head tipped sharply to her right, parted jaws opening wide as she sought to slash her upper canines into the center of the left side of Amos’ neck, wishing to inflict mild lacerations.
Simultaneously, her weight shifted smoothly to her other three limbs as her left shoulder and foreleg lifted, left front paw leaving the earth as she sought to slam the bony point of her left shoulder into the base of Amos’ windpipe, roughly central in his chest, hoping to choke him as well as drive the wind out of his lungs.
While her weight remained on her other three legs, her left front paw, still raised from the ground, sought to slam forcefully down on the toes of Amos’ left front paw, hoping to leave him with a few bruises to think about as the spar progressed.
It was clear that her father had been working hard on her training. Now all she needed was some real experiences to build upon that solid foundation.
Round 1/3 Height: 30" Build: Medium
Extra Notes: The cute thing has sharp teeth! Let's have some fun and see me learn (or relearn) how to fight with a smaller, more agile character. Distance is agreed upon by Monster!

His ears perked as her heard his daughter call for Amos with an invitation to spar. He’d been taking a rare rest, having just finished a meal of a hare he’d been lucky to surprise right into the claws and jaws of Aelloshir. But he was always interested in seeing what his little girl was up to.
He arrived in time to see her launch herself forward, and as he slipped around to join Paladin on the boulder, he was careful not to distract either of the young wolves. It was his daughter’s first real spar against someone other than himself or Paladin, and he was eager to see how her training would pan out in actual action.
He cast a sideways glance to Paladin and shared a grin before both males turned back to watch with interest.
