OOC. Mostly want to get keep Cel's plots moving so liquid timing the returning thread, if Cel and Bas can post before anyone else hops in that'd be sweet. (Zell is also cool to hop in since he was with Torin when the kids were found)

As much as he'd wanted to get the kids back to the pack lands as soon as possible he wasn't going to force them to move through the desert so they'd made a detour. Finally they drew close to the pack's borders and while Torin knew that he could have just as easily moved the children back into the pack lands he had a point to make.

Torin stopped at the borders and tipped his head back to call for their mother, his summons of Jewell had just left his lips when he spotted Célestin plodding happily towards the pack lands. "Arrêt!" He snapped, glaring at the pup as he stopped in his tracks. "Both of you are going to have to tell your mom why you left the packlands without an adult."  He turned to look at Bastyan as well, before settling on his haunches to wait for his sister.

Bas Adravendi

Walking behind Uncle Torin, following him all the way back to the pack land, was stressful enough. At the time, leaving the pack seemed like the best move for Bastyan. He needed to get out of the comforts and cushions of his families lifestyle, and out into the real world, so he could prove himself to be just as capable of looking out for himself as his other siblings. Bas was the runt, and everyday he was reminded of it as he watched his other siblings sprout up like red wood trees while he remained just a little poplar seed. But out in the world, he was just like any other pup; too small for the world. His train of thought was cut extremely short when he bumped into Uncle Torins towering legs, popping his nose in the process. Hearing that Bas and his brother Celestin would have to face their mother, immediately, made his ears fall flat against his skull. Out of all the wolves he left behind, leaving his mother had to be one of the hardest. He loved his mother very much, and would hate to know his absence caused her pain. "Uncle Torin do we have to do that right now? I really just want to see everyone again. I missed them a lot." He tried to slither his way out of it, a cringing look still on his face as he imagined the conversation to come.

"Speech"

His family members are always welcome in ANY of his threads.

Critical Fail!Christmas 2019
05-14-2018, 09:47 PM (This post was last modified: 12-13-2019, 12:00 PM by Célestin.)

The trek back home had been so long, and Uncle Torin hadn't offered to carry either Célestin or his brother. So by the time they got there the boy was exhausted, his mind was only on getting to hunker down in his mother's den and rest for the next week. As he started to pad heavily towards the inner part of the pack lands, his uncle suddenly snapped at him. Célestin pulled his ears back and froze where he was.

Uncle Torin sounded angry and the boy couldn't figure out why. He hadn't done anything wrong as far as he was concerned and yet his uncle spoke like he'd broken every single rule that existed! The pup flopped back onto his butt with an indignant huff.

Bas whined and Célestin jumped to his paws, staring a this Uncle. "No Fair! If Bas gets to go in how come I can't?" He demanded, shooting his brother the dirtiest look his tiny puppy face could muster... which wasn't all that effective in reality.

A howl for his mom took Blaise by suprise. his mom was never summoned for anything, like she wasn't important or something. Of course he could guess what it was. Someone, namely the owner of said howl, uncle Torin, had to of found at least one of his renegade siblings. He rolled his eyes at that. He was quick to follow his mom on her heels though. He knew she wouldn't be into punishing his brothers but that didn't mean he wouldn't back Uncle Torin and whoever else made them Girvin. Blaise didn't think his family needed weaklings like his mom in it.

HE watched as his mom rushed to embrace them both and gushed out french to them both. He watched as tears streamed down her face and she thanked Uncle Torin. He hung back, the weaklings would get no sympathy from him. He had missed them but they had broke the rules and made Uncle torin and from the smell of it Zell. Only once his mom grew quiet did he move forward to be anywhere near him. His tail lifted and his head was held high. He gave a short growl as he eyed them both. Then he let loose, Torin would understand it likely but his mom would not, most likely anyway. "You two weaklings should be girvined for this. You ran away, made mom suffer, caused Uncle Torin to have to take time out of his duties to find you. You two really think you deserve your place here in this pack? I think you should work for it until you've earned your place here." HE was harsh and angry with his words. Someone had to make them see they were priveldged to ive here, and if he was the only one to do it then he would. He didn't keep it secret he sought to one day take over the pack. he would challenge for it if he had to.

SHe was out showing Blaise how to set traps, not that her largest child would need it but maybe one day he would have a child of his own need the traps. It was better to teach him now. It might also give Naeva and Priscilla a break from his constant bullying and near constant trying to prove himself their leader. Jewell lifted her head, a trap slung over her neck. It was one she intended to set at the edge of the willows. A howl was heard in the distance from Torin. She knew he was out looking everywhere he could for her missing children.

She was quick to trot off in the direction of her brother. Hope clenched in her chest that he had found something and hadn't had to fight for their custody. When she arrived they were all three there. All three of her boys, which included torin. She couldn't help but smile and wag her tail furiously. She rushed forward enveloping both of her sons in her embrace. Tears poured freely from the relief that they were okay and hadn't been harmed. French came out as fast as she could talk. "Mes garçons! J'étais tellement inquiet pour toi. Dieu merci, vous êtes tous les deux d'accord! Vous n'êtes blessé nulle part êtes-vous?" She stopped gushing for a second before she looked up. Her blue eyes looked to Torin. She was inspecting him for injury, it was obvious. "Merci Torin. Si je peux vous rembourser, s'il vous plaît, faites-le moi savoir ..." She was sincere. She wasn't sure if he needed anything but she would try her damnedest to get whatever he needed for him.

It wasn't long and blaise was joining them. Then came his little speech to his brothers about what they had caused. Her eyes turned on him a glare to give him his warning. He had no right to lecture them when he was twice as unruly and more than a little harsh with them. She didn't have it in her to punish any of her children though.

Faite as Jewell's guardian is allowed in any and all her threads regardless of the tag. She may enter as she see's fit.

Trick 2019

The young girl was definitely getting tired of Blaise’s antics. She didn’t appreciate his bullying ways, nor the fact her mother seemed to be ‘rewarding’ him by showing him something new. Deep in her heart she knew that her mother was trying to help, to get him away from her and Naeva, but it was hard… she wanted to spend time with their mama too! But at least their mama was able to stay distracted while her other two brothers were missing. Or so was the thought until she heard her uncle Torin calling for her mother. That had to mean at least one of her brothers had been found, right?

Priscilla began bounding through the lands at high speeds -- a feet not exactly the easiest for the tanky female. But when she saw her missing brothers she couldn’t help but give an extra burst of speed to reach them, both angry with them and relieved to see both okay. At least until she heard Blaise speak.

“No.” Priscilla growled, surprising herself at the sound as she rounded on their elder brother. “Enough! I’ve had enough!” The girl’s ears flicked back. “Stop treating everyone like you’re better than them, Blaise, cause you’re NOT.” Her fur fluffed up, and Priscilla was shaking. For the first time in her young life the girl was angry.

“You’re NOT an alpha. You have no right to say they should be punished in that manner… and to think you would even say that about your own brothers? What kind of leader would YOU make anyway!?” The girl moved so that her body was between Blaise and her other two siblings. Her tail curled up over her back, her stance protective. She might have let Blaise walk all over her… but enough was enough. If it wasn’t obvious that the bullying and bottled up emotion within Priscilla wasn’t taking its toll… it should have been then. She wasn’t going like her brother hurt anyone else… she still loved him, as family, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t be mad at him.

The large and rather displeased Male walked behind Torin to keep an eye on the two pups in case they decided to try and make a break for it. But it seems they would make it back to the pack without incident. Zell remained dangerously quiet, knowing that if he spoke now, it wouldn't be pleasant at all. When they reached the packs borders, he watched as the pups tried to cross as if nothing had happened, but his son stopped them. He nodded a sort of approval as they waited for Jewell to show up, though he highly doubted the girl would do anything to punish her boys for taking off for so long. Of course, she showed with two others in tow, and the red larger boy spoke, reprimanding his brothers as if he had any authority. Zell rolled his eyes at the pups words, then eyed jewells daughter as she spoke up against the red boy.

Stepping forward to stand right over Blaise, he stared down at him with a hard gaze. "Silence pup! You have no authority here, do you understand!?" He turned his gaze to Priscilla for a moment, though his anger wasn't for her. She seemed sweet, and if what she said was true then this pup would need some discipline. "If I catch wind of you starting any trouble, then perhaps you'll be the one in that rank. Your brothers too! It seems trouble just runs in your family, doesn't it?" Gaze turned to Jewell then, "Your mother should have had that rank several times over. Yet here she is. Keep a better eye on your kids, Jewell. It's not the packs responsibility to keep an eye on them all day, every day." Were his words harsh? Of course. He was angry that she wasn't being careful. then again, she never was, was she? Had Kairi gone and done what Jewell did, he would be equally as pissed. But his daughters knew better. And Jewell had been around long enough to learn...and yet, she didn't.

He turned to look at Torin, anger still boiling inside, and he knew Torin wouldn't like what he said. But these things were serious, and if it wasn't fixed now then it never would be. "What do you plan to do? Should we call Frost?"

((We'd like Frostbite to reply after this post but after that regular post order can resume))

Torin was tired, he was stressed, he had a million other things he'd rather be doing right now beyond having to delegate discipline for two kids. "Neither of you are going anywhere." He rumbled, glancing at his nephews. Zell had been quiet the whole time and Torin felt like he was hyper-aware of his father, though his attention was drawn to his sister as soon as she arrived. He watched as she showered her lost children with love and the barest hint of a smile tugged at his lips. Then she turned her gaze on him and he shook his head. "Non." He spoke gently, meeting his sister's gaze. "They're my family too, you don't owe me anything." He was genuine in his refusal.

Then Blaise and Priscilla joined them and the boy went on a tirade; Torin stifled a beleaguered sigh as he heard his nephew rip into Célestin and Bastyan. But before he could respond his niece chimed in and Torin's brows shot up slightly as he witnessed what was probably the result of many weeks stewing on what was clearly Blaise's normal behavior.

And before he could respond to that his father was suddenly ranting... at a child. Something in Torin shifted as he heard the words flying from Zell's lips. Maybe it was how tired he was, maybe it was the stress, maybe he was sick but his normally impassive facade cracked; his eyes narrowed, lips twitching as his anger bubbled slowly to the surface. Torin rose to his paws, staring with open anger at his father. Zell turned to look at him and asked about Frostbite and for the briefest of moments, he was reminded that the change of rank had yet to be made public.

"You don't have that authority either." He growled, stepping in so that he was placing himself between his father and Jewell and her kids. His gaze was cold as he spoke, his rage only just barely contained. "On my authority as Kaliq these boys will be spared the rank of Girvin." He spoke with as much authority as he could muster, though his anger was not lessened and he emphasized his rank, making it clear where he stood with his father in this instant. "Their punishment will be that for the next three weeks they are to be accompanied by an adult at all times within the pack lands and until they turn a year old they are not to leave the pack lands without accompaniment and permission from both their mother and either me or Frostbite." He flashed a glance really quickly at Blaise as he spoke the next part but directed most of it at his father. "And if anyone has any issues with my decision they can take it up with me personally."

He cast a glance back at his sister, his gaze softening slightly. "For now, they are free to go and rest." Then he turned his attention back towards Zell, his face hardening again. "I also will not stand for anyone needlessly antagonizing anyone else. Especially not from adults who should know better." His family seemed to be drifting away and it tore him up inside to see the family that was still around clashing, but he could not excuse his father for treating a pup that way and much less a woman who had faced so much pain in her life.

He hadn't wanted to pull rank for this, but his anger had been sudden and encompassing. It was a rare sight, in truth, he couldn't remember the last time he'd been this enraged. He stared at his father, almost daring him to challenge him. His posture was that of an alpha, his tail high over his rump and chin tilted upwards. In truth, he hoped Zell would back down but he didn't necessarily trust that would happen.

He had seen Torin and Zell leave and was ninety nine percent sure he knew the reason. He hoped for the sake of Jewell's sanity that they managed to find the two missing boys. Frost had been busy patrolling and getting to know his niece better, glad to hear she would be spending the winter here in Lirim. This would give him much more time to get to know her and learn about what she knew of her other siblings. Though this opened a wound deep within his soul, the yearning to have kids of his own. He wasn't sure he would ever get past that urge to have kids, but as he grew older his time for that to be possible was slipping.

He had been patrolling when he heard Torin's call in the distance. He was calling for Jewell, but Frost's interest was pulled to the call. Had Torin come back with the boys in tow? Or worse had he found their bodies and come to deliver them for burial. He winced with that thought, surly hoping that it wasn't the case. Turning he headed in the direction of the call, his long legs carrying him smoothly over the ground. He didn't know what to expect when he arrived, but when he grew closer his ears would flatten in displeasure and he would stop to take it all in. Words were angry, voices rising. No..... No this didn't need to happen not in front of the kids. They were all adults and the needed to be role models to Jewell's kids. He huffed and strode forward to close the space. He was glad to see the boys were back, but he didn't like how Tense Torin was getting and it needed to be stopped before things got out of hand. He came up beside Jewell, stopping and smiling at her.

"Take your boys back to the dens, there is a fresh deer there if they are hungry," he said nudging her gently.

Then his attention turned to Torin and Zell Moving forward and stopping in between them to stop from things becoming further heated while the kids were around.

"Enough. I want to speak with both of you privately," he said sternly.

OOC: sorry for the lateness, and crappiness Dx
Bas Adravendi

After he spoke his words, everything began to happen so fast. Celestin began to complain about unfair treatment between the two of them, and Bastyan nearly rolled his eyes at the comment. He felt treated differently? Bas was the runt and treated like he might hurt himself just by breathing. Next thing he knew, their beautiful mother was bounding towards them, closing both of the boys into a hug and nearly suffocating poor little Bas. While he expected harsh words, he was surprised to hear concern. He took one sideways glance at Celestin before smiling back at his mother. "Yes, mom, we're fine. We missed you." The colorful pup stood up on his hind legs to give his mother's cheek a good long lick, his tail wagging softly behind him. No matter what, Bastyan would always have a special spot in his heart for his mother.

Next to arrive was their brother, Blaise. His words were quick and harsh, full of hate Bas couldn't quite place. Even since they were very young, Blaise had always been a bit of a jerk, and even though his words might ring some truth, that didn't spare him from being a monster. Immediately Bas stood up and walk to stand beside Celestin, anger evident in his features as his tiny lips began to curl upwards, his ears flatten against his skull.  "What have you done to deserve a spot handed to you, Blaise?" He spat, ready for more harsh words, but again, the world moved too fast.

Next to appear was their darling sister, Priscilla. She stood in front of both of the brothers, against Blaise, and unleashed a whole world of anger on the red male. Immediately Bastyan's eyes widen and turned to Celestin wondering if he had any clue where this came from. Priscilla was always such a nice sister, at least from what he could remember... so who was this before them? Bas liked her like this, especially since her fury was turned on Blaise. Suddenly Zell was there, yelling at him too. When did he get here? So many wolves were popping up, Bas could hardly keep track. He would finally just sit back down, realizing the world was spinning too fast for him anyway and he would just watch the show from now on.

Uncle Torin, who had always been kind and quiet, sudden unleashed. Bastyan didn't know what rank anyone held anymore, but it sounded like Uncle Torin was pretty high up now a days. He sat and listened, silently happy that Celestin and him would be spared such a dishonorable rank. But their punishment was truly that; a punishment. Cel and him would be trapped in their homeland until they were a year old, required to have an adult or adult permission to go anywhere. He wanted so badly to groan, but he knew if he had complained, his punishment would be worse. He looked up to his uncle, a sad smile on his face. "Yes, Uncle Torin." He would then walk over to Priscilla, rubbing his tiny form against hers in a sort of greeting and thanking. As he walked by Blaise, he would glare at him, still not understanding his anger towards either of his siblings. Once he was by Jewell he would lean against her long legs, looking back towards Celestin. She would lead them back and he would be very glad. His tiny paws were very sore from walking all day. He would just be glad to be sleeping in his old den once again.

Critical Fail!Christmas 2019
05-21-2018, 09:47 PM (This post was last modified: 12-13-2019, 12:01 PM by Célestin.)

Uncle Torin scolded him and Célestin did his best to look ashamed, which wasn’t convincing at all. His maman approached and began to smother him and Bas, she asked if they were alright and Célestin joined his voice in trying to reassure his mother. "T'inquiète pas maman, nous sommes d’accord." He said, doing his best to reassure his mother. That was the first moment is occurred to him that maybe him leaving had caused his family any worry, and this time when his ears pulled back the guilt on his face was real.

As soon as his mother moved on to talk to Uncle Torin, Blaise saw his moment to butt in and be a little bully. Bas spoke up and Célestin gave his brother a nudge and nodded grinning, then Priscilla spoke up and Célestin couldn’t help but laugh. "Good to see you’re just as unpopular as ever Blaise." He teased, not totally unmaliciously. Just as the words were leaving his lips Zell pushed forwards from where he had been lurking behind the pups; having made the whole trip back towards the packlands in silence.

Célestin shrunk back as some of the angriest, meanest things the pup had ever heard were flung at his brother and mother. For a moment the tiny pup’s eyes filled with fear; fear of the man that loomed over him as he threatened him and his brothers and his mother. Then some small part of him perked, and though he was still terrified and that was clear in his eyes the boy bristled. Only he was allowed to talk to Blaise like that! He straightened and a tiny puppy growl pulled from his throat, though it quivered with the fear he felt for the man.

Then Uncle Torin was pushing between Célestin and his family and the yelling man. And Uncle Torin, strict but quiet Uncle Torin exploded at the man in kind. The child had yet to grasp the dynamic at play in this confrontation but he could feel the tension emanating from his uncle; the man seemed a live wire. Ready to spring and only just holding himself back from doing so. Not that the pups understood why. If Uncle Torin was defending them why wasn’t he just attacking Zell, that’s what you did to protect your family right?

Even as he stepped up to protect their mother Uncle Torin told them they weren’t escaping the confrontation unpunished and as much as Célestin wanted to grumble and complain he was too afraid to do so. What if either of these bigger, stronger wolves turned on him… or worse one of his siblings or mother?

Instead he nodded solemnly and hurried to hide behind his mother’s legs. Watching the fighting with wide fear filled eyes. As his family was dismissed he turned, eager to be away from this fight he didn’t understand.

He was only just aware of Frostbite coming to try and break up the fighting and he hurried away, thinking of his mother’s warm den and the comfort of his family around him.

-Exit Célestin-

He kept his eyes on his wayward brothers even as Priscilla joined them and decided to side with them. Couldn't she see the lesson he was trying to teach here. Her tirade finished with a question and he opened his mouth to answer, only to have everything cut off by Zell. His eyes went to Zell and his mouth shut with an audible click. His ears pressed back as he stood there putting on his bravest face. Punishment was something of a new thing for him but he did try to be at least a little brave. His chest puffed out and he fluffed up much like a cat to the man. This man that he knew was not his grandfather, but was Torin's father. Jewell had explained that already to them why they didn't call him grandfather.

His legs shook from the fear he felt inside though and tears pricked his eyes as the man snapped at him. He wasn't backing down either. Blaise almost missed the fact that his mother and uncle torin put themselves in the way of Zell. But the damage was done already. His mother should of been girvined? What could such a fearful and sweet woman of done to make such a man say those things.

With his mind spinning he was ready to go, but from the looks of his mother she wasn't budging. She had her lips pulled and a look on her face that scared him even more than Uncle Torin or Zell's own anger. Though something told him this wouldn't be turned on him ever. Frostbite's kinder voice had given her an order though, was she really going to ignore it? He had no other option in the moment. HE looked at his siblings and nosed at priscilla. "Come on guys. Last one to the deer is a rotten egg...." And with that he was shepherding his three siblings back to the den where Naeva was likely pigging out. Though he did cast a glance backwards, and to his surprise Jewell was backing up after they were all gone. Though her face still had a snarl on it. It was like she was warning Zell. He wouldn't be admitting to anyone that he had said what he had though to try to make his brother's understand that they had been missed and he couldn't forgive them for inflicting pain on their mother.

Things exploded all too quickly. She could handle anger when it was directed at her, she could handle the abuse from Zell. Though when he decided to direct it at her children something set off inside her. She hadn't paid much attention to any fight training ever but instincts be damned if she didn't want to rip his head off for it. He had practically laid it out to the children that their mother had been hurt more than once. She knew Zell blamed her for being raped, for being a victim. But here he was showing his true colors.

She was quick to put herself shoulder to shoulder with Torin and between Zell and all of her children. Her eyes burned with the rage and hatred she had built up over the years for the man before them. Her ears pressed back and as Torin went on she showed her Teeth to Zell in a snarl. Every instict in her told her to protect her children from Zell. She would be damned if he would be taking any step closer to them. Every hair on her stood on end as she lowered her head to align with her spine. Her blood throbbed in her ears as she finally decided enough was enough. The verbal abuse and disapproval by zell as well as the physical abuse by Ariet and the Abraxas man had been bottled for a long time and she wouldn't tolerate it anymore.

She heard Frostbite approach and say something about a deer and her den, but she was not moving. She kept her ears peeled for the steps of her children. Only once they were all moving off did she even move an inch. She backed away stepp by step, keeping her eyes on Zell. A warning was given as she did so. "Stay away from them all, Zell. You are not welcome near them." And with that she could only hear her pups faintly so she turned and moved off after them. Her face relaxing once she was so far away.

...and then hell really broke loose. Priscilla fell silent, her eyes widening as the cream and reddish man began snapping at not only her brother, but her mother. Priscilla’s fur fell flat then, her posture switching to a more submissive one. Why was he saying her mother should have been in that bad rank? No one should! She felt tears pricking her eyes, swallowing hard. “Vous vous trompez.” (You're wrong.) The girl was glad at first when this man yelled at her brother… but it was quickly replaced by uncertainty of him.

Then their uncle was yelling at that man… and her mother too. Priscilla shook her head. She didn’t want to listen to this. Didn’t like fighting… and felt like it was her fault. Her fault because she yelled at her brother… now everyone was angry. Priscilla let out a soft whimper, glancing up at her mother before running off. She wouldn’t enter their den, but she wasn’t going to be far from it.

All too quickly, it seemed everyone had turned on him. Was he wrong? He didn't think so. Torin, in his opinion, was letting them off too easy. But his son didn't think so. Instead, Zell was being punished for voicing his opinion and what should have been done. But no. He glared as Torin turned on him, almost everyone acting like he was gonna spring at the pups. pups! Zell would never attack a pup, but here they were. Acting like he was about to destroy them or something. His lips peeled back, ears flattening at Torin, then Jewell decided she wanted to act tough and his hardened gaze turned on her, except instead of a growl, he laughed at her. "You are the least frightening thing on his planet," He taunted. He didn't care at this point if he got into anymore trouble. He didn't give a shit about any of it anymore. His gaze briefly returned to Torin, cold anger flashing across his eyes. "You've got a lot to learn, kid." He growled before his gaze briefly turned to Frost. He said nothing more as he decided to walk away. If they wanted, they could keep the most useless one in the pack. He wasn't going to try and help out anymore. He. Was. Done.

To say he was a bit shocked to find his sister pushing up beside him was an understatement; for much of the time he'd known her she had been afraid of conflict, but to see her finally standing up for... well it wasn't herself; but still the protective mother in her was coming out and to be honest Torin was a bit impressed to see her facing her fears for her children.

Of course his father wouldn't back down; and Torin felt his anger flaring again. Even as Jewell retreated with his family Torin couldn't help the frustration and anger he felt at seeing his father behave like this.

The next thing Torin knew Frostbite was also there; standing between him and his father and Torin felt a sort of indignation flair up in him; he had only been defending his sister and her pups... but as he glanced back at his sister's retreating family he couldn't help the guilt that sank into his gut like a rock. Zell didn't seem inclined to listen to Frostbite however and after taking one last dig, this time at Torin himself he walked away.

Torin felt all the emotions and energy he'd been feeling leak out of him and he physically deflated; falling on his haunches, hunched over himself. He didn't have it in him to go after his father, instead watching him leave.

Torin felt hollow, he breathed a deep sigh, unable to bring his gaze up to Frostbite. That's probably going to come back to bite me in the ass,  was all he could think as he watched his father's retreating form.

He had never felt less fit for his role than in this moment; some part of him was sure his mother or even Rory would have been able to find away to diffuse the situation without leaving his family feeling torn apart. But not Torin, nope, he'd messed up and he could feel what little family he had left slipping from his grasp. "What a mess." He muttered, loud enough to be heard but not really directed at anyone.
