The bitter chill of the north didn't bother the dark wraith all too much. Rather, she enjoyed the solace it brought. Leaving behind her reclaimed home, she opted to wander. Not too far, of course- lest another pack decide to snatch it away from her again. Low slung head tilted this way and that as she moved, eyeing up her surroundings while she walked. The longer she lurked in the area, the more she came to enjoy it. Not that she would tell anyone. Rising steam drew her attention, and she plodded toward it. An ambling, careless gait moved her along. Then she spotted it. A massive, gaping hole in the ground. Boiling water still fell from the sky in crystalline droplets from the latest eruption. Perhaps it was linked to the strange molten river, and that's what kept it so active. The two were, however, quite far apart. Perhaps not. Carmine gaze flitted to a stranger skulking along nearby. Nothing too interesting. The same size as her brother, lacking the musk of a sexually mature male. After giving him a cursory once over, she lost interest. Instead, she opted to turn her back on him and circle around the geyser. The ice and snow nearest the chasm had been melted away, leaving the stone underneath bared to the world. It didn't appear to have many visitors, the scents around it were lacking. A shame, really. She thought it was pretty cool. After all, how many other places randomly exploded?

// It didn't take him long to simply lose interest in her looking about, and as a result, the male trotted along passed her. The gesture was almost an open admission of disinterest, as if the beast had thought of talking to her, then decided it wasn't worth his time. A derisive snort was given as he did so as if he really wanted to cement the idea that he had passed her up. His eyes moved forward and he looked around at the odd landscape the geyser had created. Half-melted ice hanging from boulders at the outer reaches of its warmth, then he moved out into an open part of the area, where the snow leveled out and was only about ankle deep. What would her reaction to him be? Would she still think he was unimportant, or would she be offended by his rude behavior? Most would take offense, but Reaper was oddly curious about the woman who seemed to ignore his presence completely. Most couldn't walk by him without looking or talking to him. Would this gesture even get her attention? Did he even really want it?

It appeared as though the bitch had a shadow. A rather large, comically obvious shadow. Regardless, she wasn't in the mood to deal with others. All the ebon female wanted was a chance to snoop around the strange geyser. Carmine gaze would narrow, searching the shadowy abyss from which the water was erupting. Try as she might, she couldn't seem to get a good idea of what was going on down there. The burly femme pausedin her tracks. Dare she move closer? A hesitant paw reached out, taking her mere inches closer. The heat wasn't much worse, though she hadn't exactly gone very far. Perhaps it was better safe than sorry. The male sauntered past, tail and head held high. A child desperate for attention. He huffed crudely in her direction, and made a point to keep wandering around the perimeter for a short distance. Crimson eyes traced his movement as he moved further from the geyser, towards the open snow. Well, shit. Whatever will I do without him? She thought to herself derisively. RUMBLE. Water exploded from below, arcing high into the air. Ears flattened against her thick skull, eyes squeezing shut. She braced for whatever might come. A second passed. Two. Nothing hit. Blinking, she looked skyward. A soft drizzle was tumbling downward now, steam dancing into oblivion above. By the time the droplets landed on her upturned snout, they were bearably warm. Nothing too hot, ready to scald the fur from her face. Well, that had been fun. Perhaps there was a chance now to get closer? Broad paws stepped slowly towards the hole in the rock, auds flickering every which way in search of danger. As she grew closer, the rock became very hot. It appeared it held the heat from the scalding water pretty well. A frown creased the wraith's features. Well, that was that, it seemed.
