Step back and relax
Morning duties were done and he was feeling rather worn out today. Instead of going back to his willow tree he headed into the valley looking for a spot in the shade there to settle down and relax. He had been a wreck and even though the herbs were helping there was days he would feel run down and down right depressed. He was slow moving today and even slower as he neared a decent spot to settle down, when he reached the spot he settled down. With a light huff he looked around for a moment before a large yawn made him open his jaws wide before closing them as it passed. Fidgeting a bit he made himself comfortable before laying his head in the cool grass under the shade of the tree. Closing his eyes he attempted to shut his thoughts out, focus on the sounds of the world around him and lull himself into a snooze. |
The rainbow child was out trying to decide what to do today, to entertain himself. Being forced to stay inside the territory was a bummer, he had seen nearly every rock and tree there was to see within the confines of these walls. But he understood the punishment given and he would do what he can to make the best of it. He was out, just looking around, not really interested in anything particular until his lime eyes fell upon a familiar male resting in the shade. Frostbite looked rather peaceful in his shady spot, which was just a bummer, because that simply won't do!
As quietly as the young male could, he would make his way down and around, lining himself behind the brute. Once he was in line, he would crouch low, and slowly make his way towards Frost. One paw in front of the other, not too bad right? How could he possibly see Bas coming? Once he was fairly close, Bas would attempt to leap out of the grass and land on the older males back, letting out a playful growl in the process.
"Speech"
He was relaxed and honestly he felt on the verge of completely falling asleep. Being deep within the pack lands he was able to completely unwind, no worry of being attacked by enemies. It was a great feeling to know that you didn't have to be as alert, but this also meant an easy target for the younger wolves in the pack. It was the one time that he didn't hear the approach of the younger male and didn't realize he had become the target for a puppy attack. In fact he hadn't even been aware that anyone else was really around. He was peacefully drifting off into a light slumber taking this moment to catch up with a nap and rest his aging body. Then his body jolted as the form suddenly leaped upon his back. Eyes snapped open in surprise and he quietly swung his head around to see who it was. He sighed heavily in relief and flopped flat out on his right side before chuckling. He had got him good, but Frost wasn't angry, instead he was highly amused by the situation. "You got me!" he said with a grin at the boy. |
