Nobody does it like we do

His paws were still sore from all the travel. He'd never even been able to travel this much in a day, unless he headed north but even then... No, no, he didn't wanna keep getting sucked into comparing this place with- well, it wasn't even really home anymore, was it? Ignatius Agnivo was an unheard name in these lands. For now, he only meant something to Sephira. That was just as well. Ig was happy to return his attention to the large peaks that rose up ahead of him in one of the more impressive landmarks he'd seen so far. There were more mountains a little ways to the east, but this one came complete with a rather enticing waterfall.
Quickening his pace, Ignatius glided along towards the cool water, eager for a chance to soak his paws and relax. The water turned out to be a bit chilly, but he got used to the temperature soon enough. Ah, yes, it felt amazing to just stop for a bit.

Aske brought herself towards the location she had spied earlier, travelling southbound with a quick skip in her step. She felt quite curious about the waterfall, though she had intentionally skipped past it previously. Now that she was travelling back to the east, she felt as if this would be the opportune time to pass by. Approaching the crystalline falls, she'd crane her neck upwards to get a view of the whole thing, before taking a deep breath and glancing around at ground level. The way the water flowed; if she could, she'd likely travel around the mountain itself, seeking the source of the water. However, today was not that day. Her attention going towards the sight of something- someone?- who stood out like a flaring torch in comparison to the natural colors of the environment, the youth would leap back, preparing to flee from a presumed forest fire. After a quick smell told her of a lack of burning and death in the air, she'd squint, assessing the distant sight further. It didn't seem to be hurting anything, after all. Nothing better to do then to approach it and get a better look. Trotting closer to the lake and tracing its edge, she'd follow it until she was a good enough distance away, but definitely within earshot. Shivering a bit from the proximity of cool water, she shook her head before holding it up higher, calling out towards the strange figure. Something as brightly colored as this; surely, she must be imagining things. "Aha, this feels... weird. Hello there, stranger!" An initial comment made to herself, soon followed up by a call out to the stranger. Hopefully, it would incur no wrong. actions "speech" |

His eyes had slid shut after a bit and he was simply enjoying the sensation of the icy water on his tired paws for a little while until an unfamiliar voice called out a greeting presumably to him and the relative solitude and peace was shattered. Eyes opened and head swung to look in her direction so he could take in the pelt of browns and smoky creams before meeting the honey gaze and offering a wag of his tail in a friendly gesture and replying.
"Hello. Lovely place, isn't it?" On instinct he moved to wander a few paces closer so that the roar of the falls behind him didn't obscure her reply.
