As long as you can pull your weight within the pack and treat each other nicely you are welcome to join our ranks. We are also a pack seeking alliances with other packs and are looking to create a trading route with other packs and bands alike.

Pack Ranks

Tier 1
Rom-Baro (1) - The main alpha of the pack and also the main decision maker for the pack. Whatever the Rom-Baro says will go no matter what. The Rom-Baro always has the pack's safety and survival in their mind and tries to make the best decisions from there. He will collectively take opinions from others to thought in his decision making.
Phuri (1) - The second in command and the wolf who works directly under the Rom-Baro. Generally this is saved for the Rom-Baro's mate, but this will not always be the case. This is the one wolf that the Rom-Baro trusts above all others and is generally the closest to him. Together the Phuri works to help make the pack work like a team and also helps to take some of the leadership responsibilities.
Chava/Chavi (1) - male/female heir to the pack. 99% of the time it will be the Rom-Baro's own children or family that will gain this rank, but again there may always be a chance were he feels there is another wolf more fitting to take over the pack if it is needed.
Tier 2
Drarnego (1) - One of the Rom-Baro's council of three. This wolf is also the master healer of the pack and knows as much as there is to know about healing. This wolf is in charge of keeping track of the herb stock, instructing other healers what is needed to be collected, enforcing regular healer training, and determining what level of skill a healer in the pack has.
*Master Ranked Healer*

Amria (1) - Is the master in battle and defense knowledge. This wolf is in charge of tracking border patrols, enforcing fight & Defense training, and picking the head traveling guardians that go with those wolves who are sent out to trade with packs and loners. This wolf is also the guardian of the council members, the Phuri, and the Rom-Baro if they choose to leave the pack lands and request aid.
*Master Ranked Fighter*

Baxtalo (1) - This is the one and only diplomat of the pack, the wolf that oversees anything pertaining to pack and loner relations. Working with the Drarnego they aid in the herb stocks, food stocks, and the trinket stocks. They organize the groups that travel pack to pack to trade and ensure relationships between other packs and our own. The Baxtalo also serves as the festival organizer and the priest for more ceremonial things the pack does.
*Master Ranked Intellectual*

Tier 3
Meska (∞) - These wolves congregate, plot, and plan with one another in keeping the food den stocked, learning techniques of preserving and even learning to crafting useful things to hunt with. Some are experts with traps and skinning, others are strong wolves mastering in taking down prey of all sizes. They will call together pack hunts and pack training.
*Master Ranked Hunters*

Kham (∞) - These wolves have traveled far and wide and had collected much useful information on mother earth and the sky. They are the wolves that will together create a hand drawn map of the world they live in and aid in training the inexperienced Navigators.
*Master Ranked Navigators*

Drabéngro (∞) - These are the expert healers of the pack and work directly under the Drarnego. They are in charge of getting apprentices paired with trainers and to keep track of how they are doing. They also aid in the testing of advancement for the lower ranking healers in the pack.
*Expert Ranked Healers*

Kooli (∞) - Working directly under the Amria this is the pack's main line of defense and protectors. They are also the trusted guardians that are to travel with the groups going out to trade with other packs and bands. If the pack is ever attacked they are the front lines and the merciless fighters that will defend the pack.
*Expert Ranked Fighters*

Lel (∞) - These are the eyes and ears outside of the packs. Their duty is collect information on packs, territories, and bands. They are also considered the pack's scholars and should have knowledge on the weather, the moon phases, and the stars.
*Expert Ranked Navigators*

Barvalimos (∞) - These wolves are the main traders for the pack. They are the wolves chosen to travel to places to trade with others. They also should have decent knowledge of herbs, game animals, and crafts so they know their worth when trading with others.
*Expert Ranked Intellectuals*

Doodah (∞) - This group is in charge of feeding the pack and bringing in game to keep the food storage stocked. They organize pack hunts and work with the lower level hunters in training them. They also work with the crafters in the pack to gain knowledge in traps and tanning furs.
*Expert Ranked Hunters*

Tier 4
Pattríensis (∞) - Intermediate to advanced healers in the pack that are working themselves to settle into the Drabéngro rank. Most often these wolves will be the ones taking on apprentices and going out to gather herbs. These healers are able to call training sessions.
*Intermediate & Advanced Healers*

Ferari (∞) - The crafters of the pack, experienced in making various things for the pack to use or to be of value to trade. They could know anything from simple bandages to making beds or traps. They normally have creative minds and are always looking for things to use to make into something.
*Intermediate & Advanced Intellectuals*

Gavver (∞) - The second line of defense and offense in the pack. They are more inexperienced and are often being taken on and trained by the Kooli. They are to attend every fight training session as well as sparring with fellow pack mates. They are also encouraged to do sparring in the battlefield and to help in planning spar sessions when gathered with other packs.
*Intermediate & Advanced Fighters*

Mas (∞) - Mid level hunters that are able to hunt by themselves. They mostly work at keeping smaller game on the kill pile within the pack so that there is always something to eat available. They will work directly with the Dooda within the pack to learn on working in group hunts and taking down larger prey.
*Intermediate & Advanced Hunters*

Patrin (∞) - The travel bugs that have the knowledge and skill of navigation. They like to travel and to learn about the various territories of Ardent. They learn and report back to Lel to report their findings so that it may be passed on to the other members of the pack. They may even travel with the healers on their quest to gather herbs to explore and help find herbs that are needed.
*Intermediate & Advanced Navigators*

Tier 5
Gabori (∞) - Hunters within this rank are encouraged to work on their noses. Trailing and tracking anything they come across. It doesn't matter if it happens to be a prey animal or some sort of treasure that the pack could use in trade. They are to attend all hunt training and are highly encouraged to attend pack hunts to help themselves improve and advance through the ranks.
*Beginner & Novice Hunters*

Churara (∞) - Fighter's within this rank are encouraged to train, and train all they can. Their only pack related duty to split up among each other is border patrol and to attend any fight training called. Training is key to advancing within the pack and this will be this rank's main focus, training and sparring.
*Beginner & Novice Fighters*

Drab (∞) - The first steps within their skill set in the pack. Their duties consist of studying, learning, and learning basic care. This starts with aiding the elderly of the pack and babysitting the young pups of the pack. This also means they help make sure expecting and new mothers have everything they need to remain comfortable. These wolves are expected to attend all training sessions that are called for healers and to test each other.
*Beginner & Novice Healers*

Chordane (∞) - These wolves tend to be the most social within the pack, working on meeting everyone within the pack, training, and teaching. They tend to be everyplace and are encouraged to attend as many trainings as they can to become diverse and to absorb as much knowledge as they can.
*Beginner & Novice Intellectuals*

Kaj (∞) - Wolves within this rank take a great deal of time observing, exploring, and studying. They study anything from different plants, different animals, water sources, weather patterns, and astronomy. It's encouraged by the Rom-Baro himself to start close to home and slowly expand yourself, that way you are in an earshot if danger arises.
*Beginner & Novice Navigators*

Tier 6
Manush (∞) - This is only meant to be a temporary rank. When first joining the pack if you are unable to decide on a rank or need to be tested you will first be placed here. This is also a rank designated for young wolves in apprenticeship and are working their way to know where they want to go within the pack.
Tenimos (∞) - The future of Kesali lies within the souls of the pups. They will be granted this rank upon birth and will keep it up until they are at least a year old. During this rank it is crucial for the pack to pitch in to help teach the pups and give them the mental stimulation that they need to develop properly. If the pup chooses it's pathway early it will be added in beside the rank name so that others know that it's seeking certain skill threads to help it rank up as they hit 1 year old.
Lashav (∞) - Kesali isn't a place that is meant for the lowest of low ranks, but we do have this Omega rank. The only reason one may be given this rank is for missing several meetings, not filling rank requirements, or not pulling their weight within the pack. The pack is meant to be a team and if you cannot get yourself out of this rank by one IC season then you will be asked to leave.

Pack Rules, Culture, & History

  • Rom-Baro's word is law. Though he is highly considerate of his members thoughts and opinions he tries to make decisions based on what is best for the pack as a whole and his word goes. Do not question and respectfully listen to what he has to say.

  • Honer and be considerate of your pack mates. The pack is family which means fighting among the pack won’t be tolerated. If you have issues with another member and don't know how to handle it, feel free to come to the Rom-Baro for help and he will help you work through the issues.

  • Privacy is a must, no need to share information other's don't need to know. We would like to stay clear of quarrels between other packs, this means who and what is traded to who shouldn't be discussed with other packs.

  • Respect and be kind with other packs. We do not want to start fights or a war with another pack so we must remain respectful of their rules when we go to trade. If you prove you are unable to do this your rights to be a trader for the pack.

  • Rank Challenges are allowed for certain ranks. Kesali tends to try and focus more on how much knowledge you have within your rank (aka skill points). This means ranks for hunting and healing are not allowed to be challenged for. Ranks within the fighting or protection for the pack are allowed because it helps you further your overall skill points. The tier one and tier two ranks are also not allowed to be challenged for.

  • Teamwork is highly encouraged. Everyone will have their rank, but this does not mean this is the only thing you do in the pack. It is highly encouraged to learn and help other ranks within the pack, knowledge is the key to life in the Rom-Baro's eyes. Those who pitch in wherever it's needed will not go unnoticed and will be praised for doing so.

  • Start them young, but we remain careful. We try to start as early as possible when teaching the youth, but this doesn't mean they can be taken out of the pack to do so. All training will remain within the pack borders until they are closer to a year and a half. This also means until they are a year old of age they will remain in the Tenimos rank.

  • Love is encouraged, but respectfully ask! We allow others to find mates and to bare pups, but we do request that you ask the Rom-Baro before conception has happened. It is requested to do so because we need to ensure there is enough food and supplies and room to ensure your young will survive, thrive, and be healthy.

Customs:
  • Abiav; The wedding feast. This is held in celebration of new mated pairs within the pack. A large feast will be held after the private bonding ceremony so that the whole pack can give them gifts and words of encouragement for their next stage in life.

  • Pomana; Kesali's celebration of life (Funeral ceremony). First will start with a quiet burial under the grand mother willow where bunches of flowers and trinkets will be placed on top of their grave in honor of them. Afterwards a group feast in honor of the fallen and any are welcome to say words or memories during this time. This is a big bonding time for the pack to be there for the family and for the pack during their grieving.

  • Đurđevdan; The return of spring. Spring is a special season because it is the season of new life. Kesali honors it because it is when the new growth of herbs and new birth of prey happen which is part of the main form of life to the pack. Without what spring brings it would be difficult for the pack to survive.

  • Toamnă Trade Fair; Held in the fall where all packs and bands are invited. Object is to trade and bond with others and to keep herb and food stocks packed up for the winter. May hold Healer Training, Spars, and even hunts with others if they are willing.

Pack Symbolism:
  • Light Blue for pack color; Blue is significant to not only the Wreckage bloodline because of the three original sisters, but it is also highly significant to the pack as well. Blue has several meanings that match it with the pack. A few of them are freedom, imagination, expansiveness, inspiration, sensitivity, intelligence, stability, & unity. This also means if you were treasure hunting and found blue gemstones, they would be highly sought after by the pack.

  • Jewelry & Wearables; The pack will grow to have a structure were certain ranks will have certain things they wear (this will take time because the need to be paying for all this). The significance may be the amount, or simply the type of jewelry, but Blue is always the color chosen. So these pieces may only remain to the higher ups. Again this will take time, and have to be discussed to see if members actually want their characters having to wear something.

  • Seed with a sprout; This is the pack’s symbol that has several meanings. Mostly it was picked because it has potential to become a beautiful flower or herb. There is hope in it’s potential, and there is always growth. Without growth one would simply be unable to exist in this world and therefor die.

Pack History:
  • Founded Fall, Year 12 by Branch Wreckage claiming the territories of Weeping woods & Tall Grass Plains
  • *Another event goes here.*

PACK LANDMARKS & SACRED AREAS

Sacred areas:
  • Oldest Willow Tree- The oldest tree within the weeping woods is a Willow tree that is marked as sacred ground. It has a few graves under it already and it marked with a border of neatly placed stones. This area cannot be disturbed and may continue to be a burial ground within the pack's future.

  • Ganta Lore's Grave- Another area that is sacred, a decent size grave. There is a grave marker that marks the location a star in the shape of laid out stones. This grave is also not to be disturbed

Pack Landmarks:
  • Herb stockpile Den- A storage den with a rather large opening to it, big enough for wolves bigger then the Rom-Baro himself to fit into. Going into the den there is a bit of a tunnel that casually grades downward into the earth before it opens up into a large, spacious, and tall room. Holes or cubbies are dug out within the walls to store herbs and other supplies in. Tree roots uncovered in the walls and ceilings that are meant to be areas to hang herbs. There is also a very large rock with a rather flat upper surface to use as a table or bench to work on.

  • Treasure stockpile Den- this stockpile den is a little bit more of a mess then the others because it was difficult to organize things when some of the things here you don’t know what they are. There is a corner for seashells and the more natural things to be used as gifts or for crafting. There is a corner for pretty stones and natural glass.

  • Food Stockpile Den-
