A Love Like War
After speaking with Drake, Dragon set off to find his daughter. There was still no word on his missing son, but he hoped that Enigma would find him sooner or later. Dragon walked along, his companions having gone out to hunt and keep an eye on the nearby packs in the process. There was no telling when or if either of them would decide to chase him and the others away. But would they even have reason to? He shook his head and sighed. Paranoia was unbecoming of him, and he didn't want to live his days here feeling that way. Maybe he could get some ideas from the others. After he talked to his daughter of course. After tracking down her scent, he searched for her with his nose to the ground. Her trail was strong, so he knew she was somewhere nearby. |

They'd been pushed out of the last place her family had settled and now it seemed there was some sort of threat lingering on the horizon, she and Farai hadn't failed to notice the lingering scents of many wolves in the vicinity and while Wyvern was tempted to explore the unknown scent markers Farai had managed to convince her that was a bad idea. So instead she stayed in the forest that bordered the pack scents and the unclaimed world she'd known.
"Your father is coming." Farai said, stopping, her ears swiveling so that they were catching a sound Wyvern herself could not yet hear, though as she stopped to sniff at the air she could also scent the blind man as he approached. She turned to look over her shoulder, then turned fully around and started towards her father. "Dra- Father." She said as she spotted him, correcting herself; still not wholly sure about how to address him though her tone held more affection than when they'd first been introduced to each other. She smiled though she knew he could not see her and her tail beat the air.

He had found her easily enough, his daughter's voice reaching him as he approached. He caught the beginning of his name, but she quickly changed her words. The word "father" was something he was still somewhat getting used to, but it warmed his heart to hear it. He knew the two were still unused to it, but that was alright. He didn't rush or pressure them to call him their father. It was a title earned, no matter who you were. He did his best to earn the title of Father, and he had grown to love them since the day they were brought into his life.
"Hello, Wyvern. How are you today?" He smiled warmly as he came to a stop. He hadn't spent much time with his kids lately due to his trying to figure out what to do. At one point, he had been determined to continue his role as an alpha, but the more time went by, the less he thought about the idea. He had begun to enjoy the freedom, though it did seem rough at times. Although he wasn't thinking about being an alpha much anymore, he wondered if joining another pack would be the better route to go. He tossed the idea to the side for now, wanting to focus more on his kids and building his relationship with them. "I was wondering...would you like to go do something with me today? It can be whatever you want."
