Night has fallen, when she enters; a creature of curiosity, Thorne strides forward with evident purpose, eyes drinking in every detail. A lake, rimmed with thick vegetation, spreads out before her, rippling in the evening breeze. It is quite remarkable, suggesting nothing of particular interest. However, as the fae moves closer, a sharp movement catches her eye.
A tiny ball of shimmering light, glowing warmly beneath the star speckled sky, bobs elegantly above the dark water, casting a bright glow upon its glossy surface. Eyes wide with surprise, Thorne finds herself drawn closer, even as the water laps at her paws. Those bright cerulean orbs the tiny ball's movement as it moves about, savouring the beauty and simplicity of such a wonder.
Suddenly, a second appears, almost identical to the first, and then another, and then another. Soon, a large collection of tiny, glowing balls have appeared, whizzing about the lake with other-wordly grace. All the while, Thorne watches, simply transfixed at the sight.
