Philomena woke early that moment and to her surprise little Nausicaa was still asleep. In fact all of her children were… including the one whom she had chosen to spend some time with that day. She hadn’t spent much time with Dylas yet… but that was going to change starting today. He’d have her undivided attention and the female moved over to her son’s sleeping spot before gently nudging him. “DyDy, sweetheart, wake up.” The female urged softly. She wore a gentle smile, glancing around the den at the rest of her children.

Each one had their own unique personality… it was hard to believe such precious beings could have come from her sometimes. Dylas was perhaps the most awkward of the children in her opinion… and part of that might have been because of his vanity. He cared more for appearance than play it seemed. But Philly knew there was still ways she could bond with her son. The female nosed her little one once more and then left the den, hoping that her son would follow her outside.

He was sleeping peacefully until he heard his mother's voice. What was it with everyone waking him up early? He didn't like waking up early! He preferred to sleep in but since it was his mom who woke him up this time he figured it was for a reason, so he lifted his head and yawned and looked at her with blurry eyes for a moment as she walked outside. Stifling another yawn, he quietly got up and stretched each of his limbs in turn before picking his way over his siblings until he was outside. Once there, he shook his fur free of clumps and followed after her. "Good morning mama," He greeted her before nuzzling her leg. "Why're we up so early?" He squinted up at the sky and couldn't quite tell what time it was, but regardless of that...to him it felt pretty early. It always did.
