A faint grin tugged at his lips as he took in the place around him with the utmost pleasure. How strange it was! He had never seen big rocks among grass this way, as if they had grown legs and walked here, then decided it was a good place to hibernate. He lifted his snout and deeply inhaled the chilly air. It was fresh and crisp. He couldn’t quite describe it, but it smelled different from home for sure. Then he began to scan the distance in each direction. He wondered how large this place was. Was it secluded? Did it stretch on unimaginably far? He couldn’t wait to find out, but at the same time, he wanted to give each new place he found considerable attention. There were mountains one way, a large body of water another, then a river, and then some very strange collection of perhaps rocks another way. He let out a soft “hmm,” eying the structure with decided desire. That one next, for sure.
