Greed had moved north, following the only family he knew. There had been an abundance of activity, mostly Dragon's family and his new young healer friend. He had guided Acapella along with him, the blind woman becoming a constant presence in his life. He had to admit, he didn't mind it. Not only did he feel responsible for her, but he was also feeling something else he couldn't quite understand. He felt the constant urge to protect the woman despite what he'd done to her, and even though she claimed to forgive him, he couldn't quite forgive himself.
He blinked sleep from his eyes, raising his head and yawning as his vision came into focus. Beside him, he watched Acapella sleep for a few moments before he decided to carefully stand up and head out of the den. The air was warm as summer seemed to reach the North this year. The ground wasn't as heavily laden with snow as it usually was the rest of the year, and the not so frozen ground felt good on his paws for once. He sat out in the clearing, nodding as Dragon and his companions passed. He decided to sit and wait for Acapella to wake up before deciding what to do for the day. |

Acapella has a Dhole companion that is almost always with her unless stated otherwise.
Greed is allowed in any of Ella's threads regardless of the tag.

Ears fell back to listen as he heard footsteps coming towards him. Soon after, he felt Acapella's touch. He shivered slightly from it, but not in a bad way. They had spent an incredible amount of time together since she had been unfairly kicked out from her home pack, but he had tried his best to take care of her. At first, he felt like he simply had to feel responsible for her because of what he'd done in the raid. But as time passed, and as they spent more and more time together, he couldn't help but feel...something else. He wasn't sure what to call it, or really how to explain it, but it felt good to be around her. He didn't feel so alone. He wasn't alone to begin with with Dragon and his family around, but even when they were he felt a sense of loneliness. But with her? It was...different. Like shefilled a gap in his life that the presence of the Ancora's couldn't quite fill.
"Good morning to you as well." He looked at her from the corner of his eye, wondering what she was thinking. He knew it must have been hard for her to keep moving around the way they were, but they didn't have much choice as loners. It wasn't always safe to stay in one place, much less when there was a blind wolf. If someone came along and threatened them, it probably wouldn't be easy to try and protect her on his own, either. He realized then that that's probably why Dragon moved often, to avoid sticking around the same place for very long. Then again, he also had two fierce jaguars at his side...but still. He feared someone would try to hurt Acapella, especially if he wasn't around. When he went hunting, he tried to make it as quick as possible so he could return to her faster. "How do you feel today?" A simple question, but one that perhaps needed to be asked. He seldom asked her (or others) how they were, but it was mostly due to the fact he had grown up pretty reserved thanks to his early abandonment. |
