It was almost dark, but it was light enough for Piper to see where she was going. Despite not really knowing where she exactly was, she tried her best to ensure the routes she took were safe. So far, the young female was doing well on her own but she did feel alone. Perhaps she was just in the wrong places to be searching for other wolves, then again it didn't help very much that she didn't know anything or anyone here. Maybe Piper should have stayed with the small group that she was travelling but they were probably far away now, it would be too late to even try and catch up to them. A light sigh escaped her as she paused in her steps, gaze taking in her surroundings before they rested on a similar opening of a cave, it could be a good place to rest for the night and be of some shelter to her from the harsh winds and freezing temperatures out in the open. She began to make her way towards it, her paws carried her over the snow.
Hannibal laid seven tail lengths deep within the cave staring out of its depths with a harsh cave. His head rested atop large front paws and his tail curled against his side lazily. Ears flickered every now and again as unsuspecting critters scurried by the mouth of the cave. He had been resting there for a while to avoid the setting sun as much as possible. The albino had done well as of late. His scabs were scarring and the male was leading a burn free life. There was no reason to change his habits. It seemed even with pups coming he would have to remain nocturnal until he found a permanent solution to his skin problems.
As the stranger fought her way towards the cave the male perked up ever so slightly. He was just deep enough into the cave to be hidden by a blanket of shadow. It was snowing quite hard and the winds picked up significantly. Hannibal silently observed her lithe form move his way and remained still as she entered the cave. The behemoth observed for a few long moments before allowing a smirk to slither across chilled lips. "How brave of you to pick a fight with the elements." The hellhound raised his large head as his gazed moved to her own beautiful eyes.

Snow clung to her as she continued to push through the extreme weather, it wasn't pleasant to say at least. But she wasn't going to stop and freeze out here when she could take shelter in the cave, she could just wait it out and be safe from such harsh elements. Piper occasionally glanced up to make sure that she was on the right path and that the forceful winds didn't push her off in a different direction. She was at least a few meters away now, it wouldn't be long now and when she finally knew that she was out of the cold.
A sigh of relief emitted from her, she didn't notice the stranger who was also in the cave as her gaze was on the ground. She turned slightly just to look behind her, however, a voice interrupted her movement. "How brave of you to pick a fight with the elements." Piper's heart raced in her chest, she didn't realise someone else was here. Her attention instantly went to the male, but the sudden feeling of embarrassment was clear. "It wasn't that bad out there earlier," she responded, her eyes went back to the entrance. "Is this your cave?" she would ask in a low voice, her head turned back towards him. "I'm so sorry if I'm intruding… I can leave if I am," she said quickly after her question.
Hannibal allowed his devious gaze to generously move over her brown pelt and feminine frame. He bore no shame as those sickening eyes danced along her legs and to her turquoise orbs. As her frantic words filled pale ears the male took only a moment to respond. "I am no cave dweller, darling." He would hate to live in such a hollow and cold save. He assumed with time he could make the it into a proper home with grass, dirt, and other items to shape it up. But, why would he need to do such when he had a pack's territory to reside within. Safe borders, the warmth of the south, and his own cozy den. Obviously this stranger hadn't a clue about his life therefore he would bring forth no judgment towards her worries and questions. "You are not intruding. We are both hiding from the elements.. And who would I be to chase you off into a snow storm?" A murderer? Or perhaps just an asshole.. The beast flicked his tail with a sweet smile, "Come sit." A pause. "What is your name?" If they were going to be snowed into a cave with each other they may as get cozy.

The yearling didn't really pay much notice to how this male was looking at her, body languages in others weren't really something Piper noticed or understood most of the time. "I am no cave dweller, darling." He was quick to answer and seemed to be polite enough, she was fast to deem him friendly at least. She obviously eased up a bit, apart from shivering as she was still cold nor did it help that her pelt was dampened by the melting snow on her. It was obvious that the man didn't exactly live here either, but again Piper assumed he was also taking shelter from the blizzard outside of this cave. "You are not intruding. We are both hiding from the elements.. And who would I be to chase you off into a snow storm?" A gentle smile appeared on her lips, she gave a small shrug. "It wouldn't be a nice thing to do. I probably would find another place before I freeze to death out there," she replied to him in a clear voice. "Come sit." She would listen and moved a little closer to him before plopping down on her rump, tail curled immediately at her paws. "What is your name?" His words reached her ears as she got somewhat comfortable while sitting. "Piper. What's yours?"
Thoughts of a force claim filled his mind as he looked over the snow peppered babe. It would be of use to the pack to have more servants, but not too many. If there were more servants then pack members they risked the chance of being over ran or just being unable to tend to the group. Starving slaves were useless, thus the male would remain picky with who he plucked to take back to Erovrare. Hannibal would get to know this younger girl before making any sort of decision.
Her words came forth and Hannibal offered a simple nod. Surely she is smart enough to find another cave or perhaps just a tree to hide beneath until the snow died down a bit. But, who knows what could happen. Predators linger and the blanket of snow hides anything lurking beneath. "I am sure you are capable enough to find shelter, but there is no need." The save system they were in likely went on for ages and if they needed their own space there was plenty to go around. If it weren't for her arrival he would likely have succumbed to a simple nap while waiting out the snow. But, his thoughts were interrupted by her name. Piper. Simple and sweet. The name brought a little grin to his lips as he offered another nod. "I am Hannibal." His words came forth with power and rolled from his tongue with a trail of venom. "Tell me Piper, do you belong to a pack?"
