Peggy shrugged her pack more comfortably onto her shoulders, liking the way it settled down without too much heft despite being full. Full of rocks, that was. She had found the pack on a trip outside of pack lands and was testing the way it felt under a heavy load, so she'd know in advance of actually needing to use it to carry something heavy what she could expect. Which in this case meant rocks, because herbs weren't heavy and she didn't want to risk any precious jars of ointments or washes from Kassander's stores.
She'd picked up some along the rapids, then trotted along to the plains and filled up a couple more of the removable pouches, and now she was making her way through the thicket to see how the bulging pack fared in the closer confines there. It wasn't bad, really, though she had some trouble where the trees were thicker and didn't bend aside as easily when she tried to squeeze through them, so the pack caught and held her back until she twisted to a different angle or backed out to bypass those trees altogether.
Just then, as she forced her way between two such thicker trees, she felt a thick short branch snag a loop on the pack just above her shoulder and yank her to a halt. She tried to back out of it, but the branch was forked just the right way to foil her attempts. She craned her neck to look back enough to see that the loop had slipped down between the branch and the main trunk, so it would need to go up to get over it. But passing between the trees as she was, she couldn't quite manage to get the leverage to raise herself up enough to do so.
She stopped struggling for the moment, stumped, so to speak, by the puzzle. It wasn't an emergency by any means, since she could just howl for any of her pack mates to come help her, but it was definitely less than ideal.

She'd been dividing her time between hanging out in the packlands, exploring, and exploring with Asharya, and while it was kind of a lot Cael found that she really liked being so busy all the time. It had helped her pull herself out of her previous mourning and brought her back to a new sort of normal. Honestly though she kind of thought she owed it to Abaven and it's leaders who didn't seem too bothered by her constant coming and going to spend some more time there and do something for the pack. She'd been contemplating what to do that day and making her way through the thicket to where she'd left a rabbit for a snack when she heard a rustling nearby.
Given how many new wolves there seemed to be that she'd yet to meet, Cael decided it couldn't hurt to go check if it was a newbie and introduce herself. To her surprise, she instead ended up sauntering up to stand by Arpeggio. Giving the girl a searching glance, Cael eventually found herself grinning as she studied the predicament the other girl appeared to be in. "How's it hangin' there?" she eventually asked, sitting back to watch whatever was apparently unfolding here and not making even an indication of a move to help just yet.

Peggy arched her back, trying to gain enough height to slip the loop off of the branch, but a sudden rustle in the trees nearby her made her jump - not the helpful way that might have freed her, either, but rather a startled sort of jolt that was accompanied by a surprised squeak. She craned her head to peer through the trees, and suddenly flushed quite pink beneath her fur in mortification. It was Caelestis, regarding her with a grin as she sat back to watch Peggy's predicament. She was the last person Peggy would have wanted to see her in this situation, and on top of that she'd managed to make her jump like a frightened pup by sneaking up on her. "Uhm, hi there Caelestis," she said with a somewhat weak smile in return. "I uhm... I see you're back," she added lamely, then surreptitiously tried to arch her back again to attempt to free herself so she could pretend she'd never been stuck at all, but it was no more successful than her first attempt had been.

"Hey," a smirk played at her lips as Peggy seemed to look absolutely mortified beyond words. That only made the wicked look in Cael's eyes glint more brightly. She did do Peggy the courtesy of fighting back the giggle that that startled squeak had almost drawn out. Cael wasn't mean. Usually.
"Mhm. For now at least. I was goin' to ask you if maybe you'd wanna come hang out and like, do something, but you look pretty tied up," she said, struggling not to laugh and sort of failing. "Okay, okay, I'll be serious, do you need help?" It was honestly a struggle not to wheeze. She really didn't want to hurt Arpeggio's feelings or anything but this was really funny okay?!
