But now I think my luck is changing

Taking a few long strides forward to the top of the dune, Czernobog looked out and studied the space between him and his quarry. A pathetic looking young antelope was hobbling along across the sand. It clearly wasn't eating well this season. It might be starving, but Bog did not intend to follow suit. Licking his lips hungrily, the beast trailed after his ribby prey. If he'd wanted to he suspected he could follow it until it dropped dead of exhaustion since that really wouldn't take long, but ultimately he was too hungry for that and began looking for a good opening to take the animal down. He needed to drive it towards a better spot where the sand wasn't as deep so he could run faster.
Walking in a wide semi-circle, he was careful to apply only enough pressure to drive the animal where he wanted at the pace he wanted, always mindful of his every move and looking ahead to where the young buck would end up. Both creatures descended the slope of the sand dune at an angle, moving off towards flatter ground. Czern could practically taste the meal he was about to have.
