Odysseus was on his way to his den after a long day abroad. Every once in a while he got restless and needed to  stretch his legs. He found his work in Abaven fulfilling, but occasionally the itch to move couldn't be quelled. So he went for a walk. A jaunt into one of the neighboring territories he'd never visited before did him good. It was hard to give up his freedom after having it for so long. Odysseus had grown used to moving around. While he'd settled into the pack easily enough, some old habits died hard. Olafur suddenly came running through the underbrush. Until very recently the two had shared a path, but Olafur had left Odysseus' side in search of dried grasses to twist into rope. The last time Odysseus had seen him Olafur had quite the bundle under one arm. Now those grasses were gone and that, combined with the primate's expression, gave Odysseus pause. He had just enough time to give his companion a questioning look when the primate called out, "He's over here, Shaye!"   "Odysseus" and "Olafur"

Shaye was irritable, stressed and did not for a moment trust the two hot headed boys back at that shit show not to do something stupid. Hell, they were doing something stupid even when she left. She dropped off the pup, her blood boiling, her head pounding, and feeling more than a little wretched for letting lose her steam in Tana’s face.

She came across the small form of Olafur just before she left the pack lands, and it gave her an idea. She jogged over to the monkey and asked where she could find Odysseus, and was quick to be lead to his side.

Some of the tension loosened in her face when she saw the man, and there was an almost audible sigh of relief. “Thank all the gods, Odysseus, hi” she said, speaking even as she jogged, before stopping before him. “Sorry I don’t have time for niceties, yours is the first sane face I have seen all day. I don’t know what's in the water, but my wolves are getting hot headed in a bad way, and I may need some backup keeping them from starting a war. In light of that, I promote you to head diplomat, today and the days ahead Abaven is going to need a sane representative. I know its a lot to ask of you on short notice, but.. I know you’ll do what’s right, I trust you.”
She gave him an apologetic expression, she and him both might have a lot of fires to put out in the near future. “Grab what you need to bash some heads together and come with me” she directed “I’ll explain on the way”

Odysseus had not had any time to prepare for anything, and yet even if he had, he didn't think he would have been able to foresee this situation. His surprise briefly showed on his face as he listened to Shaye speak; his lips parted slightly in a small 'o'. Using the same technique that allowed him to smooth his features when presented with a horrific injury, Odysseus quickly adopted a determined but otherwise neutral expression. "I'll do what I can," he said firmly before beckoning to Olafur, who quickly jumped up onto his back. Odysseus didn't know where they were going or what was happening, but the day he'd agreed to join Abaven he'd made a commitment to the pack and to Shaye. He would go with her without hesitation. "Lead the way - and spare no details. I want to know everything you know." He had nothing to take with him. No plants, no bandages, no splints - no, if he was going somewhere to bash heads together he was going there strictly for the head bashing. Let them tend their own wounds.   "Odysseus" and "Olafur"
