Come one, come all, to the greatest Ardent spectacle of them all!

A traveling caravan of entertainers has appeared in Ardent to put on a tournament to find the greatest fighters in all of Ardent! Is it just an excuse to sell snacks and trinkets and pickpocket you? Probably, but hey, it’ll be fun!

The premise is simple. It’s winter’s last gasp when word spreads throughout Boreas and Auster both inviting fighters of any age to attend the gathering in the battlefield and compete in the tournament. There will be three age divisions - the pup league (up to 1 year at time of signup), the prime league (1-5 years at signup), and the senior league (6+ at signup) and a fourth separate, special division we will get to in a moment. All stats including age, skills, etc will be locked in at the time of signup to keep a level playing field over the course of the tournament.

This will be a double-elimination bracket, so you will get more than one chance for your character to continue forward in the tournament. Every player has the option of putting two characters in each age division. The rules are simple: dominance matches only with strict default times to keep things going for everyone! The first place winner of each division will receive a battle item of their choice and the runner ups for each will receive an additional 20 fight skill points. The winners for the adult divisions will go on to compete for the title of Champion Wolf Lord and the grand prize: an extra companion slot!

So what about that fourth division? Well, ladies and gentlemen, hold onto your fur because this is the HARDCORE division! Bigger risk, bigger prizes! In this division we allow minor (dice roll only) maim matches only, no weak dominance matches here! Each player is allowed one character over the age of 1 in this league, timed to be taking place after the main matches so that the character can also compete in the main tournament without worrying about whether they’re potentially already maimed. The winner of this division will get a super cool post-acceptance battle mutation!

The event will take place in it’s own subforum in the battlefield so each match can have it’s own thread and spectators! Spectators, please don’t be disruptive in the threads, we want to move this along quickly without too much drama! Threads for each match will be created by staff and the first to post will be decided by coin-flip so no one is stuck waiting and wondering if the other person is going to start the thread or if they are.

Sign up below by the end of the day Friday, March 1st by filling out the Tier 2 judging form for each character to lock their stats for the duration of the tournament. Remember, you can have two characters per age division and one character in the HARDCORE division (who can also be one of your two characters in an adult division)
