the others
Abaven smells strange. The air is lighter and warmer than it had been in Erövrare, but the scents that linger on the breeze are unfamiliar and unsettling. Leera wakes from her light, dreamless slumber, rolling quietly out of her ball of warmth to peer across the pack lands. Sleep is something she hasn't gotten much of in the past few days -- reasonable, considering everything that's been going on -- and even when she does succumb it doesn't last long. She noses around for her pups, takes in a breath, and stands. "Remain in sight," she advises those tiny ears, her face blank as her pink eyes scan the plains. "Shaye and her companions have been kind to take us in, but you can never trust too easily, my children. Always keep your eyes open." Her mind wanders briefly to Tyranis, images of his blood-smothered body, and she silently contemplates his whereabouts. His motives. His next moves.

The young girl had decided then she really would become a warrior, to protect her mom and sister. Of course Motif was right there with her, the two of them were going to take on the world. Poem smiled to herself as she finally grew the courage to disobey. If she was going to be so great first she had to leave her nursery.
There were ulterior motives as well, she had heard about the strangers staying here for a brief time and she wanted to see them. Bright blue and lavender eyes scanned the the plains in search of these pups. She wanted more playmates, and she had so many questions for them. Luck was in her favor and the grass hadn’t quite grown enough to obscure their position. Poem noticed that the ground was a little higher where they lingered, a vantage point. She didn’t approach, suddenly nervous. The young seedling paced softly, far enough away she wouldn’t look like she was eavesdropping.
She moved as her slow careful pace and when she found her sister she stopped and pawed at her hip. They weren't even supposed to be here. What if dad found out? He'd be so mad. And miss shaye? Oh man they'd be grounded for a month. Even though she knew a little bit about the new kids she knew they weren't supposed to be here, she wasnt told why exactly she just knew it was a rule. "Poem, we're not supposed to be here, come on before dad finds out or miss shaye. I dont want you to be in trouble." she was basically pleading as she whispered to her sister. Did poem have a wish to be in trouble? Or did she think she could get out of trouble because she was one of shaye's kids?
Verse has three companions, a mouse lemur named Alma that is with her at all times, presumably clinging to her chest or nape. Two ravens, a white female with blue eyes named Lenore, and a piebald male with red eyes and a serrated upper beak named Evermore. These three are with her at all times, whether stated or not.
Her mothers’ words agitated her she would leave sight if she so well pleased and they weren’t taken in they were straight up taken. She didn’t ask for any of this. Her mother was alright if anything, she just wasn’t as good as her dad. She was too nice and didn’t understand everything that was going on.
Theta was getting fed up with this whole situation. Tythe started whining about missing dad and wanting to go home and that was just it. She did her best to be nice to her brother, she really did but sometimes he could just get on her nerves “We all miss dad, we all want to go home. But do you hear me whining about it?! No! Because dad needs us to do this. So stop whining mister golden gift and actually be a gift.” She practically yelled all of this at Tythe and eyed down the others to see if anyone else would have something to say. She was done with this day and done with this trip, nobody was going to catch her nice side for a good while.
Her senses picked up the presence of two other wolves, one of which seemed to be acting oddly suspicious. She looked over in their direction, still not totally off of her agitation she snapped at them ”get out of here! We’re not some attraction to be gawked at!”
