Burn Me Out

He had taken off late in the morning, traveling from the pack territory in hopes of finding one of the nearby deer herds. He had been keeping a close eye on this herd in particular and had become as familiar as he could with their movements. Since spring had came they seemed to settle close by the lake and he had no doubt it would be easy to find them. There was a lot of different choices within the herd that he had already observed. There was the young, the mid aged, and a few old ones within the herd which made a lot of choices for an experienced hunter.

Once hitting the edge of the border to the lake he lowered his head and began to search for a fresh scent trail. Moving somewhat slowly the male would take his time, shifting through trail after trail. Once finding one he would carefully begin to fallow it, remaining quiet so he wouldn't spook anything nearby.
