He hadn't been to the battlefield for himself in quite a while. It was usually because of someone or something else, but he wanted to work on his fighting skills and train in other areas besides hunting. With that in mind, he loped towards the battlefield with his Osprey companion flying overhead, scanning the area for any would be participants. He was nervous, but not nervous enough to affect any potential fighting. He was used to fighting large game and even predators, not so much wolves. But when he thought about it, it would be almost the same as fighting another predator...just not as big as a bear, he hoped.

Though Ivy's interests did lie mainly in crafting and collecting, among other more intellectual focuses, she was interested in fighting as well. Fighting, to her, was a means of protecting her family - she didn't care for the sport of it, only for its practicality. If Kesali was ever under threat, by a predator or - god forbid - another pack, she wanted to be prepared. There was no doubt she'd lay down her life in an instant to protect any of her family members, though she knew she was more useful to them alive than dead.. hence her arrival in this disgusting place. It definitely wasn't the sort of place she'd come on her own, and she was reminded of how disdainful she'd felt when Branch had called for the creation of Kesali here. Her initial thought was that he planned to reside here, and she had wondered quickly what had gotten into his head. Luckily that hadn't been the case, though she hadn't thought she'd return so soon. But she'd heard the call of someone looking to spar, and her interest had been piqued. A young male, by the sounds of his voice, and hopefully an opponent who'd put up a good fight and let her stretch her fighting muscles out. Her gait was poised as Ivy drew closer to the apparent source of the call. From a distance he didn't appear much younger than her, though his build was larger in contrast to her own slightly more slender form. Overall it seemed like a fair matchup, though who knew how skilled he was? Ivy quirked a brow as she approached, her expression unreadable and serious. "Here for a practice spar too?"

Heart pounded against his chest, a nervous feeling settling in his gut as he waited. He didn't have to wait long, however, when his companion alerted him to someone's approach. His attention soon turned to a feminine voice asking if he was looking for a spar. He nodded as he studied her, eyes locking on hers. Of course...it had to be a girl that came along. A pretty one at that. Well, hopefully he didn't end up making this too awkward..."I am, would you be interested?" He blinked for a moment, realizing that she had also said 'too' and that she was obviously here for one. "I mean...yeah, I..." So much for not making it awkward. Lucky for him, his companion decided to come to his rescue and landed on his back, its intense gaze locking on the woman. "My name's Cloudburst Wreckage, and I am looking to spar." Man...Ty was so much better at talking to others than he was. He felt stupid now. "Speak"

If she noticed he was nervous, she paid no mind to it, studying him with a watchful eye. Though he was about the same age as her, or so it seemed, somehow he seemed much younger than her as he spoke up awkwardly.. though given her personality, most other wolves seemed younger than her anyway. The faintest smile pulled at the corners of her lips before she spoke up. "That's why I'm here," Ivy answered easily enough, quirking a brow as she continued to study him. "I'm Ivy Wreckage, of Kesali. Let's do this, then," she said, quite succinctly. Not one for formalities, she adjusted her posture and kept her eyes locked on Cloudburst's. Likewise she wasn't one for tricks when it came to sparring (or anything else in life, really), so she offered the other male a brief nod to show she was about to begin. Kicking off with her back legs, she charged him at head-on, jaws unhinging as she neared him and slowed, swinging to her right side and aiming to grab hold of the scruff of the right side of his neck. She had no idea if the companion that sat atop his shoulders would participate, but she tried to keep her attention on him as well, just in case. Ivy vs Cloudburst for Spar Round 1/? Ivy Wreckage? Eyes widened with surprise. Did that mean they were related somehow? He hadn't met any others that held his mothers surname, and made a mental note to ask after their spar. For now, he put his head back in the game and focused as Ivy prepared her attack. The woman gave him a brief nod to indicate she was starting. Settling into a defensive stance of his own, Cloud prepared for her.

His opponent charged towards him, and as she neared him, his companion took flight with a flurry of feathers. Cloud waited until she was nearly upon him, and as she sought to bite him, he dropped to the ground. Pushing with his hind legs, Cloud pushed forward and upward, aiming to headbutt Ivy's jaws shut.

Though she noted the way Cloud's eyes widened slightly, she paid little attention to it. Instead she focused on how his body adjusted to her impending attack, stiffening and dropping into a defensive posture. It didn't halt her own attack, though almost as soon as she dove to grab at his neck, he ducked low to the ground and avoided her attack entirely. Not only that, but his companion rose from his shoulders overhead. Only briefly did she let her attention drift to him before she felt Cloud coming at her from below, his snout ramming into her muzzle from below. The pressure caused her to snap her jaws shut abruptly, but she wouldn't let that completely deter her. Using his position to her advantage, she twisted her head and tried to snap roughly at his scruff - grabbing at him like a mother would her pup, hoping to send him sprawling. His ducking motion and attack had worked to a degree. His snout slammed her jaws shut, but only for a brief moment. His own nose was likely to bruise after this, but it was a minor price to pay. He had at least gotten her jaws away from his neck, and that was all he really cared about. However, as she aimed her fangs at his scruff, his Osprey companion let loose a wild screech as it dove, talons extended as it sought to rake them across her crown in an effort to distract her. Cloud himself, however, felt the pricking of the voice in his head, but refused to let it out. This wasn't the type of fight that was worth any unnecessary bloodshed, so he fought and quelled it as best he could. His own jaws snapped open, muzzle still pointed upward as he kept a half-bowed position. He waited until she drew closer before seeking to catch her bottom jaw in his own waiting teeth. His goal was to grab her and toss her head to the side an deflect her attack. And since his position was already close to the ground with his chest practically resting on the dirt, he swiped at her forepaws with his own, hoping to further distract her or sweep them out from under her, if not unbalance her.
