Patrols were completed and now that the warmth of spring had arrived Branch was feeling a lot more uplifted. The sun was warm across his back as he trailed into the plains. He was planning on enjoying a little bit of r & r in the sun, soaking it up before it would be whisked away. Winter seemed like it had gone on forever and he was so relieved that it was finally over. Now he had to get his plans going, to hold the pack's first meeting and to get some pack activities going. He would also be looking to recruit and to grow the pack more.

Suddenly the large male flopped onto the ground grunting as he rubbed himself into the ground. Then he sneezed before rolling onto his back to let the sun warm his chest and belly. Closing his blue eyes and just quietly laying there for a bit. When he was warm enough there he flopped to lay on his left side to let the sun warm his right side. It felt too good to have the warm sun beating against him after a cold dark winter. He hoped the rest of his pack was enjoying this as much as he was.

Spring had arrived at last... and thank goodness for that. Luckily her brother had picked a rather temperate area of Boreas to settle down in, though she was still grateful when what little snow remained started to slowly melt away. She had no qualms with making it through the tougher seasons, but spring and summer were by far the most profitable for her family; and for her, giving her more chance to explore and collect trinkets at will. The arrival of warmer weather was certainly lifting her mood, as she moved through the plains with a rare hop to her step. While she still wanted to feign annoyance at Branch's plan to settle down and make a name for their family here, it was proving to be.. well, not so bad after all. Not that she'd so readily admit that, of course.

Reigning in her good mood would prove to be even more difficult as she found her way to Branch. Oblivious to her presence, at least at first, he seemed to be basking in the sunlight without a care in the world, his belly exposed to the warm rays of sun and the sky above before he flopped onto his other side. A slight smile tugged at her lips as she drew closer, not bothering to hide her approach now. "Are we de-thawing?" Ivy asked, her voice holding a slight hint of playfulness that was rarely seen except around her family, and even then her seriousness won out more often than not.

Branch hadn't realized that he had been found, not until he could hear the obvious approach of another, his ear would merely flick and as the familiar voice spoke his eyes squinted open to look at her in the sunshine. A grin would spread across his face at what she had said.

"Of course," he would reply. "How could I pass up the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful day."

He would then stretch before rolling onto his belly and sitting up. He hoped to have a proper social visit with Ivy, not really talking to her since he called Kesali together. He wondered what she had thought of the territories and in general what she had thought. He wasn't looking for her to fawn over his decisions, but he would hope she was at least liking things around here

"And you? Are you enjoying this nice weather?" he would ask.

While her family had never known great hardship, things were comparatively easy even now. The winter had treated their pack kindly, and to see Branch lounge so freely - and vulnerably - was refreshing for Ivy to witness.  That slight smile lifted, just enough to be noticeable, as she drew closer. There was no way to doubt her own pleasant mood as she gazed down at him and let her tail twitch lightly behind her, where it hung freely at her hocks. She, too, was growing accustomed to the security a pack provided, though it was taking much more getting used to on her end. Perhaps someday she might be truly used to it, but, well.. today wasn't that day.

How could he pass up the opportunity? She could think of a few excuses that she might make for herself, but maybe Branch was right - it didn't hurt to stop and enjoy the sun for a few moments. Surely he'd worked had enough to warrant a break. Slowly she reclined to her haunches beside him, letting out a slow laugh. "Fair enough," she replied after a moment of thought, deciding not to argue him on this one. She watched as he rolled over to sit upright, definitely a better place to converse from. Ivy quirked a grow silently as he spoke, nodding in answer before speaking up. "Very much so. Hopefully the change in season livens up the rest of our family as much as it has you, hm?" Ivy was hopeful for what spring had in store for Kesali, and she couldn't help but wonder if Branch had any immediate plans in mind for their family.

Ivy seemed to look like she was doing well and Branch was grateful. He was grateful for everything so far and the peace the pack was getting had everyone in a good mood. There was much he needed to get done. A meeting needed to happen because there was many things that needed to be discussed and faces to introduce. The packs they allied with along with trying to plan some pack bonding time. It might be too early to try and throw one of his Clan's festivals, but he still wanted to do something to bring the pack together so everyone can get to know each other. He wondered if maybe Ivy had any ideas on what the best course was.

He would grin at her laugh, thankful to hear it from her. She would soon reply expressing her hope for things to be livened up with the warmer weather. Branch would nod before deciding it wouldn't hurt to share his thoughts with her and see what she had thought. Branch had always felt that it was good to have some opinions from others.

"Hopefully," he would reply. "I was hoping to call a pack meeting and maybe even get a gathering together so everyone get have the chance to get familiar with each other. We have some new members that have yet to see the entire pack."

He wondered what she would think.
