Aaliyah v Eligos

Aaliyah was rather excited to spar with one of the godlings, Eligos seemed like he would be a durable sparring partner and she was more than happy to try and teach or learn in their own turns. She was rusty, though she would never admit such a thing. Wasting no time, the dusky striped goddess moved through the halls of their castle home and down to the courtyard patio. The trees had long since upturned the brick and stone of the patio's paving, but the uneven ground would be perfect to practice stance and footing. Balance and placement would be key here otherwise you could trip or slip over root or pave stone. A small smirk crossed over her smoky black face, red eyes shining in the sun. She waited for Eligos to join her, waving her tail as she spoke, "You may have the first move. Show me what you got!" She said the words with a low tone, drawing out the syllables of the last sentence. Calling the boy out may or may not be a smart tactic, but it was too late now.

Malleus drifted from spar to spar to observe the participants in action. He noted skill; who was still waiting for their partner to make their way over; nerves and the like. Currently he was making his way over to Aaliyah, who was waiting for his son, Eligos. Eligos was of the age were he was likely ready for more responsibility and Malleus was eager to judge for himself whether or not the time had come. That wasn't to say only he would be under Malleus' watchful gaze today. Aaliyah was a rarely seen member who Malleus was determined to get more involved. She was nearing her fourth year and had yet to show enough interest in the pack to acquire a real rank. This needed to change lest he be forced to give up hope on her. |
