Poem wasn’t used to the uncertainty she felt as her paws traced the edge of the destruction. Edgar, who had been missing but was happily returned, flew about 20 feet above her. She was not the usual boisterous self, her ears were held low and her tail rested at her ankles. Poem’s head was lowered as icy paws took her through the grass. On her right side, everything was burned, on her left was lush and green from the rain that had put out the fire. She avoided looking at the death that spread vast distances over her right shoulder. The memories still haunted her, especially after what her brother had done.

She was thankful her injuries had been relatively minor, she had seen the damage done to her aunt, or to the girl Novel. Poem was lucky, but she hated how Noir had played her like that. She had wanted to come and help, but she had almost been the one needing help because she couldn’t trust her brother.

The girl sighed heavily as she veered to her left and sulked into the grasses that still stood. She wished she knew where her Aunt had been relocated to after her injury was healed. The girl didn’t want to go explore her father’s den for fear of seeing her brother. She knew it was no secret what he’d done, but she also didn’t know what his punishment had been either. The young Destruction sighed heavily as she walked slowly, Edgar cracked with displeasure above her before he ascended higher so he could ride the thermals and glide instead of flap above her.

Poem plopped her rear underneath her and tried to shake the icky feeling from her, but though she tried she was never successful.

The fire had devastated the land she had used to den in. Rhyme had not completely cleared her yet but she figured if she took it easy it would be okay. Her head still had bandaging over it from where rhyme was constantly changing it for her, but she ignored it for now. The gash was most likely to scar.

She was out trying to see if any of her pelts had survived the fire, and she'd been rather disappointed. She might have to ask Rhyme if he could secure her a few more, seeing as they were all smoke and fire damaged. A real shame too because she had made a nice fluffy bed out of them before. She sighed as she gave up and exited her old den, which was crumbling and would need to be dug out and reinforced when the area was renewed. She took her time as she walked back to the rapids. There wasn't enough cover to allow her to stay in the thicket yet.

As she got close to the border of the destruction she caught sight of her niece. A smile settled onto her as she made to approach poem. Of course there was no need to scare the girl either. "What you up to Po?" She stopped behind the girl and looked up to the bird high above, a nod to him then she looked back to her larger niece.

A weight seemed to leave the young Destruction girl as she caught a movement out of the corner of her eye and was blessed with the sight of her Aunt Eulogy approaching. She beamed at the older wolf as she found her feet and came to her side. Poem didn’t hesitate to bump her head against Eu’s chin, despite being a bit bigger than her now. Her aunt was still injured, the gasp on her forehead was still a little swollen. She was glad that Eulogy was well enough to be out and about.

”Just, trying not to bed too sad about the fire.” she admitted softly as she lay down at Eulogy’s feet. ”Are you feeling better? Tato is taking good care of you?” She asked as she tilted her head slightly, her body in a sphynx like pose. Poem was getting closer and closer to filling out her large icy paws. She was more of a young lady than a pup anymoe.
