Try it if it feels right

Muses followed Riva back to the south western Kesali borders, her singsong tone rising and falling as the girls chatted along the way. While the smaller wolf ventured into the pack domain, the ivory female waited patiently, sitting upright in the tall grass. With the peach and cream tones of her fur, she blended in surprisingly well. Looking around, she tried to imagine what life was like in the area. The ground was so flat, and there were no trees whatsoever. The weather just happened to be overcast and muggy, but relatively tolerable, but even Muses knew that under the glaring sun, crossing such an exposed expanse of land could be dangerous. Gulping nervously, she looked around for Riva, but to her dismay, noticed that the diminutive dame was nowhere in sight. Reluctantly, she settled in for the long wait.
Lifting her pitch nose, she tasted the air, mouth parting, and whiskers twitching as she tried to process the information that nearly overwhelmed her. Everything was so unfamiliar that she could barely tease apart her own sent from everything else. Exasperated, she gave up, flinging herself into the grass, rolling in the foliage to give her back a good scratch. Although she was no longer a puppy, she was clearly still young, her patience short, and her ability to stay perfectly still for arbitrary reasons nearly non-existent.

She was happy to chat with Muses on the walk back, finding a friend in the sweet violet-eyed girl. She was already entertaining the idea of asking Branch if she could take on Muses as an official apprentice. She had always wanted to teach, and loved the idea of tutoring her new friend.
When they reached the pack borders, Muses stopped before crossing, which was the right and polite thing to do, Riva gave her a smile, and took off to grab Branch, so she could bring the Alpha back and introduce her to Muses and let him know that the girl wished to join.
She howled as she moved through the territory in search of the older, taller man, not certain where she might find him at this time in the day.

He had just finished a hunt and had taken his kill back to the kill pile. He hadn’t been hungry but he was sure someone in the pack would be hungry. So he had left it for the members of his pack to devour. He had been on his way towards the borders for a patrol, when Riva’s howl caught his attention. Lifting his head and picking up his pace the large male tried to meet her halfway, since it sounded like she was traveling through the pack territory.
He met up with her and before he could say anything she beckons him to fallow her. He watched as she turned and began heading back where she came from. His brows would raise in curiosity before picking up his pace and heading after her. It didn’t take them long to get back to the border where Riva’s friend was patiently waiting. Seeing the unfamiliar face drew his curiosity more.
“Who is your friend Riva,” he asked before he smiled at the female. “I’m Branch Wreckage.”

Instinctively, she drew closer to Riva, seeking comfort in her physical presence as the leader of her pack approached. She could not help but stiffen as a sense of unease washed over her, reminded constantly of the wolves that had slaughtered her family by the dark cloak these strange wolves wore. After meeting the young healer, however, Muses could be certain that not all black furred wolves would mean her harm, so she tried to be receptive, mirroring his curiosity as she shyly seized him up.
He dwarfed Riva significantly, and even made Muses feel petite. His imposing, but otherwise streamlined form reminded her of her father, or perhaps her eldest brother for they were closer in age, but his steel blue eyes were far kinder, despite their stormy hue. It was enough to prompt the ivory furred female to present a shy smile of her own. With a polite, and surprisingly proud dip of her muzzle, she introduced herself. "My name is Muses, Sir." Saying her new name still seemed to stun her, but she was quick to recover, humbly lowering her head once more. Automatically addressing Branch as her dominant came naturally to her; respect with a touch of fear of the stronger sex was all but beaten into her. She had been clever enough to avoid such things, and hoped she could continue to make the right choices.
"I have no home to return to, no family left alive, but I believe there is much I can learn from your pack." If she needed to be armed with the knowledge to survive and overcome adversary, Kesali had to be the place to learn with, if they were all as ambitious and knowledgeable as Riva.

Muses drew closer to her, and Riva leaned into it, offering her silent comfort, and a friendly, easy smile. Branch might be a large wolf, but Riva knew the kindness in his heart, and hoped Muses would see it too.
For the most part, Riva let the two introduce themselves and didn't interject anything. She was mostly there to show Muses the way to kesali, and help her settle in once she was a pack member. That Branch would allow her in, Riva had no doubts.
The healer gave her tail a light wag behind her, sitting quietly beside Muses, with her eyes to the blues of the Alpha she respected. She would add something then, something she thought would be allowed with the rank she held in his pack. “I would like to take Muses on as an apprentice Branch, if your okay with that?”
