He moved stiffly to the healers den, he hadn’t been treating his body well these last few days, and the gouges the Cheetah had left in his side still ached. The chunk he had taken from his own leg was a source of embarrassment now, and he steadily ignored it. He wasn’t looking forward to reporting to Lady Luce, for he knew she would see these new injuries immediately. He wasn’t sure he wanted to explain all of them.
Perhaps if he started with his report on Deathbelle, it would distract her enough that she wouldn’t take note of them. Fat chance of that, but regardless. He scuffed a paw against the entrance of her den in his version of a knock, before he pushed his head inside the den. The scent of herbs embraced him, and well he couldn’t identify them, they were still familiar to the warrior. He had been injured many times in his life.
“Lady Lucretia” he said as his eyes fell upon her, offering her a polite dip of his head. “I’ve come to report as promised.” he explained, and launched quickly into what he had memorised, as through saying it quickly would get it out of the way and gone from mind. “The Empress has patrolled every day, encountered morning sickness, and ive seen a weariness in her when she encounters it. She has eaten rabbits, and deer.” he reported.
