growing gills
fishin derby!
Hannibal was an alright fishermen in his time. He was no master but he could catch himself a decently sized Fish when needed. Since Ashen had made it's home around a large lake he had actually taken up fishing quite a bit more so he was slightly more confident then he would have been before. Thus, the male slithered up to the edge of the water with very quite pad falls and his form was low to the ground. Despite what many may think Fish are pretty aware of their surroundings and could get spooked by ones shadows. Thus, the male remained still with his right front paw lifted ever so slightly. Pale eyes remained trained on the depths of the water and his breathing was steady. He was nearly as still as a stone before he saw something flash beneath the surface and his paw slipped down and attempted to swipe the Fish up and out of the water. Hopefully if he made contact the Fish would be flopping on the water's edge and he could end it's misery..

Fished!
He offered a quick nod to the beast, from his scent it seemed he’d ascended from slave to alpha. Rhyme had to believe he was an impressive wolf for that to happen. Rhyme decided on his own place a few meters down the beach. With quiet and patience Rhyme would wait for the most opportune moment to strike violently at the water with his sharp teeth as opposed to the albino’s paw trick. Rhyme got a bit more wet, but being able to sink his teeth into the fish seemed the sure way to catch it.
Hannibal managed to slap an extra large Fish from the water first try. It began to flip and flap on the water's edge with urgency. Quickly the albino snapped down with his jaws at the head of the fish. Ripping at the scale and flesh to end its life rather swiftly. It took a moment for it's muscle to cease movement was the deed was done. Briny blood covered his pink lips and the male swept his tongue across his teeth. Hannibal lifted his head as pad falls were heard. Those haunting eyes fell upon the sight of an Alpha of Abaven. The albino shamelessly raised a brow and thoughts of Eulogy filled his head. Hannibal had been made aware that Eulogy had ties to Abaven but it was never directly spoken to the new Alpha. Her wear abouts or Rhyme's feelings towards Hannibal were completely unknown. As tall Destruction came forth from the water Hannibal offered him a dashing grin. Perhaps it was not the best idea to taunt the opposing alpha but why not make things a bit fun? "The night is beautiful is it not?" The Hand's voice was husky and laced with venom. His tail twitched but his presence was relaxed and not nearly as dominating as usual. Hannibal allowed his eyes to dart back down at the water and spotted another Fish dancing beneath the surface. Quickly his jaws dived down to snap at it in attempt to secure it between his ivory chompers.

Rhyme paced back out into the current. ”Not a bad choice for a festival.” His voice was deep, and held more neutral tones as he commented on the festivities they attended. He’d repeat his previous actions, waiting until the fish was in the perfect spot and toredoing his head into the saltwater, hoping that he would get his teeth around the fish’s slimy body.
The pale beast came forth with a medium sized fish between ivory teeth. Hannibal smirked with the slimy flapping creature in his mouth before dropping it to his pile. He bit down at the head region to ensure a quick death and it was still. He licked his wet lips that remained stained bright red-pink with Fish blood. It was a messy business due to how much they bled. It gave the albino a rather undesirable bloody grin on those oddly pale pink lips. The opposing Alpha responded with neutral yet deep tones. It seemed the obsidian and white male was not interested in delving into meaningful small talk. Nevertheless, Hannibal's handsome smirk never dissipated. He watched as the other Wolf caught another decent sized Fish. A little nod was tossed in Rhymes direction as Hannibal decided to step forward into the shallows. "May I know the name of my fishing partner?" Baritone vocals were a delicious purr before his attention was moved back to the water. Pale eyes darted around before they caught site of another daring specimen. Hannibal quickly stuck his muzzle into the water and snapped at the Fish in attempt to catch it.

”Rhyme Cavaliere, Alpha of Abaven.” He told him with a quick bow before allowing the man to take his next shot at a fish. His eyes seemed to widen a bit as he watched Hannibal’s attempt managed to retrieve the golden fish. Should he just quit now? Rhyme couldn’t help but laugh heartily at his luck. ”And who are you, lucky bastard?” He congratulated him heartily before trying again himself, maybe there was a second one swimming about.
With care Rhyme made another attempt to catch a fish in his jaws.
Ivory fangs punctured golden scales with ease. Hannibal came forth from with water with a sopping wet muzzle and a dying golden scaled Fish struggling in his jaws. Pale eyes were wide with joy as he dropped the massive thing into his pile and darted down to end its life for good. The opposing male offered his name as well as asking for his own. The lucky bastard complied, "Hannibal Iber Klein, Alpha of Ashen." They were of equal rank it seemed but.. Hannibal had the cool golden Fish. The albino beast licked his lips again before flicking his gaze back down to the dead yet rather large Fish on the ground. "If there's one there must be more." A slinky smirk slipped across those blood stained lips as the slender male slipped towards the water. Eyes glanced across the depths as he studied the bold passing Fish silently. - Suddenly, Hannibal swiped a paw at another Fish in attempt to knock it from the water. Hopefully it would be another golden Fish..

He pushed the thoughts from his mind as he nodded in agreement, maybe there really was something else out there in the blue water, but he didn’t much want to be here to see Hannibal collect another fish. Slowly Rhyme would step away from the albino alpha, curious if their paths might cross again and in what ways.
-exit rhyme?-
ooc: I can throw in Belle next round yeah?
Of course she also wouldn’t want to disturb his spot, though she wished to greet him more appropriately with some much needed affection. Though they shared a den she felt distant from him since he’d told her about Dutch. She had to remedy that situation. But first, she’d make another attempt to catch herself a nice big fish.

Hannibal came forth with a smaller Fish than the few times previously. He dropped the already dead thing to the ground as his eyes flicked towards his co-alpha. A blood covered smile slipped across his lips and the male nodded to his dear sister. "Sorry sweet cheeks but that Fish is for the other important girl in my life." Hannibal laughed softly before moving to scan the water, "Maybe giving the Golden Fish to Banshee will make her dislike me just slightly less." His voice was rather light hearted. Being a Father had been incredibly trialing thus far and it would likely not change anytime soon. With two new litters on the way and all. The albino calmed himself slightly before slipping back towards the water. Long legs easily sliced through the water and his pale eyes flicked against the rippling surface. The male patiently awaited the arrival of another Fish. His voice was gentle and slightly husky in order to not scare off any Fish. "How are you, love?" The male then caught a glimpse of a gliding Fish and lurched down to snap hungry fangs at it.

”Maybe, it is a fine catch.” She returned, hopeful that Ban was on her way to becoming the respectable Klein heiress she was always meant to be. Belle’s own bright gaze shifted similarly to the surface of the water. ”I’m well, the pups are growing wonderfully. They’ll be here mid Autumn. Maybe a little later.” She offered him with a grin as she side eyed him before aiming to take hold of another fish.
