He wandered off a ways up the coast, his mother of course keeping an eye on him. He was told not to go too deep or he might get swept away. Well, he wasn't keen on getting taken away into the ocean so he listened and kept to the shallows. Lucky for him, there seemed to be plenty milling about where he was. He stalked forward, sapphire gaze locked on the little group that seemed to be resting just ahead. He was focused. Concentrating on trying to catch the biggest one he could. As he slowly stalked through the water, he lunged forward and sought to catch one in his teeth.

Lyra was focused on her hunting, which in this case was involving a particular species of shallow water fish called bone fish. Lyra noticed these guys due to the weird taste of them she rather liked - and she wanted to get good at catching them. The irritating thing about them was that they were fast, they noticed her quickly, and it was hard for her to catch them. The ones she got previously were out of sheer luck, but now she was hunting them - especially now that she was in their territory. Even now, as she lunged for one, she knew she would fail. She was trying anyway, though.

Unfortunately, their territory was also full of bloody craps. Lyra stiffled a yelp as she stepped on yet another crab, and she shook her paw violently in the water to get it to detach. The seagrass was wonderful to walk through, minus all the pointy things that liked to poke her. Like crabs. Bleh.

Without realizing it, she had crept closer and closer to where the pup was - unnoticed until the sun hit that brilliant orange coat in a way that caught Lyra's attention. "Hmm?" She swung her head around in curiousity, pausing when she laid eyes on the puppy. Eh? A pup? In the water? Alone? Her head immediately swung to shore, as she searched for a guardian of some sort - which, thankfully, there was. Nodding her head to the lady in the distance who seemed to be watching - and was also bright bloody orange - she closed the distance between her and the pup, head cocked curiously.

"These fish are pretty hard to catch," she told him quietly. "They're tasty though, if you're able to catch one. They're fast, and can propel themselves through this grass, and they have a very keen sense for danger. You'll have to surprise them, and predict where they'll go or you miss," she explained.

He had been focused on trying to catch the fish that darted around him that he didn't notice the approach of the star-clad girl until she whispered to him. He turned to look at her, listening to every word she said before looking at the water again. The sea grass moved with the current, and he could see the flashing silver fist as they lazily swam about. He had seen other fish before, but wasn't sure what the difference was with catching them all. "What kinda fish are they?" He questioned curiously, though copied her and kept his voice down so he didn't scare them away. One curious fish slowly swam closer to him as he stood there, but as soon as he made any sort of move it turned and darted away. Aw man! That could've been an easy one! Frowning, he slowly stalked forward as slow as he could manage until he was standing among the slimy feeling grass. His face contorted into a look of disgust at the feeling, but he supposed it was one of those things he'd have to deal with when fishing. Practically rocking on his heels in anticipation, he eyed a couple of the fish as they looked at him with wide, unblinking eyes. It was pretty creepy if you asked him. Didn't fish ever blink?

He surveyed the surroundings for a moment, trying to think of which direction the fish might go. Breathing a heavy sigh, he rocked back on his heels and jumped forward and a little to his left. A loud "Hah!" left him as he jumped forward, and almost as soon as he moved, the fish started to dart around. Hopefully...he'd catch one, though he wasn't totally sure how to catch these particular fish. At least someone was with him that could teach him!

She didn't startle him, which was good, and he was rather curious and listened - that she liked even more. "I don't know what the name is. I'm not sure if they even have a name. We call deer deer, elk, elk - but I don't think anyone has ever really named the types of fish. I know this one is silvery with stripes and has a green-blue stripe on the back. " She watched him carefully as he tested her words, and she nodded to herself when she saw the fish scatter. "See what I mean? Extra sensitive. It's annoying." She grinned a bit as he stepped into the grass. She didn't mind the feeling, but he clearly had a problem with it, which made her chuckle. "Feels weird, doesn't it? You'd think it would feel like underwater grass but it doesn't."

Just as she was about to speak again, the boy leaped forward to try to catch one, and the fish she had been eyeing scattered. She grumbled immediately, a paw slamming where she thought it might have gone. She missed, which was unsurprising, but she still tried to catch it regardless. "How about we try working together?" she suggested. "You seem to have a knack for getting the fish riled up. Perhaps you can rile them up into my direction and I kill them as they come?"

He was a little bummed that she didn't know the name of this fish, and when she explained it, it made sense. He didn't even know if there were different names for the species they hunted, but he had seen many fish and some of them looked different from one another. Fishing was hard! But these fish seemed harder to get than others. "The muck on the bottom feels gross!" He complained, nearly slipping over just as he said that but had managed to keep his balance. When he had made the fish scatter trying to catch one, he glanced up at Lyra with a sheepish look. "Oops, sorry!" Guess he just got a little carried away with the excitement of trying to catch one. But when she made the suggestion of him basically herding the fish towards her, he nodded eagerly. "Yeah! I can definitely do that!" He was eager to help her, especially if it meant they could catch a bunch of fish!

She laughed at his complaint, and she shook her head. "It's not much, it's like grass! Just underwater. Try sticking your head underwater and seeing what it looks like, it's pretty cool. Lotsa fish hde in seagrass. It lets them hide from predators like other fish. It doesn't help them too much against us. The more you walk, the more used to it you'll get and the less you will slip." She had the hang of it pretty easy now, though she wasn't sure why. It was one step closer to catching, which was more than the pup could do. She nodded to his apology. "It's okay," she soothed, before turning her gaze bcack to the water. In a flash, she spotted another fihs, and she dove for it, her paws and claws out and attempting to get the fish

Aiden paused at the shoreline as he gazed at the two wolves in the water. He'd seen one of these wolves before, but he still hadn't expected to see two such brilliantly colored wolves at the same time. He'd gotten a little culture shock coming here, never really seen the insanely colored wolves before. One was the color of the water and trees, intertwined and sparkling, almost. The other was as bright as the sun, and fiery with contrasting black. They were both certainly beautiful, and the giant male approached slowly, nodding to either. "Hello," he greeted quietly. "I'm Aiden." This time, he didn't feel like attaching his pack, so he didn't. He just introduced himself and then focused on the fish, ignoring the weird grass below his paws. With some focus, the male tried to lunge in the water to catch one of the elusive, silver-flashing fish that were darting around, absolutely unaware of the plants Lyra and Incendio had just made.
