Hunting down the tiger was suppose to be the end of it. It had ambushed them, they had taken their revenge and killed it. Then, they had collected the feathers from the floor where Seer had dropped them, and continued on their way. This time, the Titan was hauling the carcass of a tiger behind him well Zee carried the bag of feathers.
They got part way home through the jungle, when they heard the angry roar, and some moments later before Seer connected the dots. He made an irritated growl past the carcass in his maw, and looked to Zee. he dropped his mouthful to speak. “Run” he growled, but in truth, he didn’t really expect her to. He then jumped forward, over the body, and behind Zee to ensure he was between her and the vengeful form of the deceased tigers mate. Apparently, this hadn’t ended with the death of their ambusherer.
