Sirius was at the edge of the red rocks when marshal came to him. He had seen a pup in the Eastern terratories, and he thought it was a Dutch child but he could not find the woman. Sirius got to his paws, and made quick changes to his organisation. He set Zee and Bast to watching Godbrand and the others, and took off after Marshal. The bird took him across the fastest course, and the mans titan paws chewed up the distance. From What he understood, the pup was in the dangerous zone within reach of the volcano. He did not hesitate, nor flag, and new time was of the essence.
He knew when he hit the zones closer to the volcano, smoke was in the air and it became more difficult to see. Marshall rose high above the winds and free of the smoke, and the Titan was forced to follow his cries and not his form. He was forced to slow down his pace, for fear of tripping or jutting obstacles that came upon him suddenly.
At last, he arrived at the bay, the scent of smoke heavy in the air and obscuring all scents. His vision was clearer here, the fresh sea air chased away much of the smoke.
He found the pup near the waters edge, looking bedraggled and partly drowned, he scooped it up in his maw and pulled him away from the currents of the water that lapped against his back legs, and deposited him a few places clear of the ocean. He stopped then, taking a step back and looking at the pup he had rescued. This wasnt a Dutch puppy... he tried to get a scent of him, but the scent of ash obscured all.

The young Destruction wasn’t one to break the rules. He did what he was told most of the time. Sometimes he liked to wander but today was not that day. Void had been minding his own business, sitting on the beach looking out to places not covered in smoke. He could just see the sun over the horizon when a tremor hit, and a huge wave crashed up on the beach. Void was swept easily into the deep cold blue with not even a peep.
He didn’t do much against the rough surf, there was a reason he’d been carried across by an adult during the eruption. Now he was on his own, and any kicking or paddling he did was done to stay above the surface. He didn’t know where he was going or if he’d even make it to shore. When he thought he was done for he’d finally be thrown on the shore. Not far enough to be out of the water though, and his body would quickly start to shiver.
Void wouldn’t have lasted much longer, but he was suddenly plucked from the ocean and deposited a few paces away. The boy was silent as he stared up at the giant with big blue and lavender eyes. His skin shivering violently beneath his star spangled coat.

Theory had been watching Void from the underbrush when he'd been swept away. She had taken a liking to the quiet little boy and had been about to invite him for a walk when the water had developed a mind of its own. Although she had yelled after him, her voice alone did no good against the power of nature. Theory pounded the sand behind him and leaped into the water. All of Abaven faded away from her mind, crystallizing into Void alone. She couldn't stand to watch a pack member perish when there was something she could do about it.
Although the salt stung her eyes and nose, she followed the bob of his head above the water. Good, that's it! Just keep paddling! Instinct would take over and keep him alive - hopefully long enough for her to reach him. Swimming after him in these conditions was a losing game. Their only hope was that he washed ashore safely on the other side.
Theory almost went under herself a few times, but sheer determination drove her through the waves and towards the shore. By the time she sputtered up onto the sand she was shaking with exhaustion. Swimming in those conditions was much, much harder than she'd thought it would be. Just when she thought there would be a happy ending to this story (which she considered never, ever telling Shaye about - the already stressed alpha didn't need anything else to worry about), Void was snatched up by a titanic black wolf.
"Stop!" she roared, finding renewed vigor. Theory jumped towards him with her hackles raised, not a care in the world for how unequally matched she was. "Leave him be! He is a child of Abaven!" And my family. Theo bore her fangs and exerted as much dominance as her aching muscles would allow. Her ears darted forward and she strained towards her full 41 inches of height.
