His heart was heavy, limbs leaden as he moved with a dejected purpose. He couldn't be in Tortuga anymore, he couldn't be where the power shifted more then the wind, ideals changed and their members thrown away like trash. He couldn't believe in it, couldn't be there anymore, he couldn't be there especially after what Secret had done and what had happened to her. So he had left, with scarcely a word to anyone except his sister and his children, hulking mass moving directly towards the boarders he had become fairly familiar with. Ever since his first meeting with the Sol he had felt quite drawn to her, to her ideals and her sense of justice. She had defended Secret, a wolf she barely knew when no one in Tortuga would do so. No one in his own pack, not even their alphas bothered to step up for her. Though he had once leaned towards the chaotic side and Tortuga had called towards him his sobering moment had been when he had become a dad. He no longer could be a part of a pack that couldn't look after his own children and family. Vi could stay there, she was strong and she had saved Kylar's butt enough ties that he trusted her to take care of herself but his children he was worried about, especially Maia. And so he had come back here... He had heard whispers of Jupiter's death match, it had occurred at some point between when he had buried his friend and when the Glaciem wolves had taken over. Somewhere in the back of his mind he had heard her howl and through whispers he had heard of her victory.

Massive paws would stop at the boarders as always, head held high as he surveyed the mangroves before him curiously. Would she let him join her ranks? Well there really was only one way to find out... Head would tip back, a solemn howl echoing forth before his jaws would close and he would allow his head to lower to a respectful level once more. It was all just a waiting game now. He knew that they might have their own issues, that they would be in a struggle with Amenti's old queen, but hopefully someone would come and speak with him. He felt that if nothing else that Jupiter should know of Secret's fate. From what he could tell one wolf had tortured her and then Kaios had put her out of her misery before fleeing. At least that was what he hoped had happened. The torn open body he had found had barely resembled the once life filled and playful female he had known and grown quite attached too. That image would haunt his mind for the rest of his life until he found that male who's scent he had found at her death bed.

Checking out the borders was what the bi-colored shewolf was doing when a howl rang out nearby. Ears twitched and swiveled in the direction it came from, the corners of her lips pulling back in a small smile. It didn't seem like much was going on in Ludicael the last few days, everyone was peaceful and enjoying the summer days, no signs of danger or trouble around the corner.

Off she went, paws carrying her along the border, following the mental path she had formed to reach the source of the howl. She wondered what she would find herself facing today, a stranger looking to join, somebody looking for directions, or just a wolf looking for some information on a pack before moving on. Either one of those were fine to the woman, she just hoped the meeting would be friendly.

"Greetings stranger." She grinned, spotting a male just a few feet ahead. She had been moving at a steady jog and slowed to a walk, holding her head high yet respectful even if this was a stranger. "The name's Aria, how may I help you on this fine day?" She asked curiously, her stump of a tail wiggling behind her, ears swiveling forward and focusing her green gaze on the rather handsome male.

He didn't have to wait long but the female who pushed her way out of the mangroves was not exactly the one who he had wanted to see. But he didn't let the disappointment show on his features, instead he dipped head head easily to the female. Anyone who greeted new comers at the boarders had to be of fairly high rank, that much he knew, and should be treated with respect. She seemed a bit war torn, missing her tail even though her pleasure in seeing him was still evident from the way her stump wiggled, but friendly enough none the less. Kylar wasn't exactly in the mood to be friendly but he would play nice none the less, this wasn't Tortuga after all... "Greetings Aria, I am Kylar Sovari former Reaker of Tortuga..." His voice was a low rumble, coming from somewhere deep in his chest. He allowed his former title and pack to sink in before he would speak further. A sigh escaped his lips as he tried to figure out what to say next. "I'm a friend of Jupiter's, I come with news of our mutual friend's death as well as to hopefully join hers and your pack." He had never really been much for beating around the bush and that much showed. Who broke up death news when first meeting someone? Well Ky of course...

Her head tilted the slightest as the man spoke, introducing himself as Kylar, naming a rank she did not know of and he was from Tortuga. Curiosity bubbled beneath the surface, may question forming, wondering why this man had come over to Ludicael. Perhaps he had news to share of the pack that Jupiter would want to here, or just here on friendly terms to reconnect with a neighboring pack. Whatever it was the shewolf would be hearing it within a matter of seconds, but it wasn't the type of news she was expecting.

He informed Aria that he was a friend of Jupiter's, making her give a small nod. And then he dropped that a fried has died and he was hoping to join Ludicael. Ears would swivel to the side and the woman would dip her head to the man before speaking. "I'm sorry for your loss." It was short and might not seem like much but her tone was kind and meant it, the woman did not have to deal with the death of a friend or stranger yet so she was not sure what to say.

Lifting her head Aria would sit back, deep green orbs focusing on him. "I'm sure Jupiter will show up soon, she will be happy to see you again." What else could one say to somebody who had lost a friend? "One moment." She said softly before raising her head and let out a call for the Sol, letting her know that the shewolf was with the stranger who had called at the borders.

Lowering her head to gaze at the male with a small smile Aira's ears would twitch, her head turning briefly towards the heart of Ludicael before turning back to Kylar. "I am the Borealis of Ludicael, would you like me to tell you about us or has Jupiter already done that?" She asked curiously.

"That'll be unnecessary, Aria."

Jupiter had been close but quiet, padding nonchalantly toward the sound of the familiar call. Her lips formed her words with gentle but neutral tone. It was the first she'd seen of Aria in a little while and she threw the woman but a passing glance as she stepped into plain view, nodding to dismiss her. Normally she would have allowed the girl to remain but she assumed that the subject of the deathmatch would arise and such was still personal to Jupiter. A smile touched her lips and she would wait for her beta's departure before speaking.

"It's good to see you, Kylar." The woman flicked an ear, concern furrowing her brows as she recalled the earlier news that had drifted to her audits. "What woe has fallen upon us now?"

Gaze was thrown downwards, hiding the flash of anger that might have appeared across his visage at her apologies. But he remained silent. As she introduced herself and offered to tell him more about Ludicael he forced a small smile. But before he could answer she was dismissed, Jupiter sweeping onto the scene and waiting for the other female to depart before speaking. He dipped his head deeply to the woman before him, making sure Aria was far enough away that they wouldn't be overheard before he would speak. "Secret has passed, murdered by some unknown slayer. I was in the packlands when it happened, she called for Kaios with her last breath..." He forced himself not to spit out the males name before drawing a deep breath. "But I hear congratulations are in order, it's good to see you alive and well Jupiter..." He said, his smile sincere this time as green gaze flicked to the female. If she wanted to share more about the death match then he would listen but if not he wouldn't press the matter.

"I came here hoping you might accept me into your pack, I can't be in Tortuga anymore, not after everything that has happened and how uncaring the leaders were..." He said, a bit of hope in his voice. He had never joined a lightly aligned pack before and it made him a bit uneasy... But he wanted to be where people cared for and protected each other, here seemed like the best place...

Within moments of speaking to the man Jupiter had appeared, dismissing the shewolf. Aria would dip her head to the Sol then to Kyler before turning and trotting off. Seeing as they were friends and something had happened to somebody knew Aria understood that they would wanna discuss their matters alone. With that though she felt a need to talk with the Sol about her short absence, didn't want anything negative between the two seeing as she considered the Sol a good friend. Perhaps hen they were done talking they could talk.

The woman's ear flicked, mouth falling very slightly ajar, celestial optics widening. For a moment she was frozen like that, features the very meaning of surprise. Then, without warning, every last muscle in her body tensed, a slight snarl slipping from her lips. Hair raised and audits pinned thoroughly, her weight shifting with discontent. The fact that she had called for the brute that had eaten her stillborn pups before her was absolutely disgusting and almost a little horrifying. After a couple of seconds of her anger pulsing from her, she stifled her rampant emotions, lowering her head as she took a deep breath, trying to control herself. She drew herself back to what he had said, about the congratulations.

"It's bittersweet," she said quietly. "But I'm glad to know he won't be back to bother my family, Ludicael, and I. And you, for that matter." She gave an almost saddened smile, but its mood brightened considerably when he delivered his true intentions of having come here.

"Of course, Kylar. I would be honored to have you and your children in Ludicael. How old are they?" She tilted her head a bit, tail swishing back and forth slightly. "Mine are about two seasons, now."

((sorry this took so long!!))

He weighed her reaction, somer gaze remaining fixed on her features as a wave of emotions seemed to hit her at his news. A snarl echoed forth through the silence and finally his eyes dropped to the ground, ears folding to his skull. There was a time where silence stretched between them, her bringing her emotions under control and Kylar unsure what else there was to say. Finally she spoke again and he brought his gaze back up to look at her once more. He found himself nodding along to her words and chuckling slightly as she said she was glad Kaios was gone. Weren't they all?

Her mood heightened but his lessened as his question was answered with another question. His gaze was immediately averted but a bittersweet smile slowly tugged at the corners of his lips. He hadn't seen his children in what seemed like forever, would they come if he asked them to? Especially after what had happened to their mother?

"Almost two years... This winter they'll be two. One of my sons has joined Glaciem, the other I assume intends to stay in Tortuga but my daughter seems lost. If I can I would like to bring her with me but I don't know.." His voice trailed off, thoughtful before he sighed. "I will have to speak with them at a later time, I'm ashamed to say I haven't even told them about their mother. I left immediately after to try and track down her killer to no avail and haven't had the heart to return since." His words were once again quiet, a frown drawing his brows together though he could no longer look at Jupiter. Especially now that he had told someone else about his actions he felt even more ashamed...

The silence that spanned between them was electric but luckily short-lived as she put forth her own voice and he did the same in return. Her ears were pressed seemingly permanently forward as she listened to his words, smiling a little as she thought of her own growing children. They were simply getting so large and becoming so terribly independent--it was to the point where she felt as if she were no longer needed in their lives anymore. Maybe, in one way or another, she wasn't.

"Your family--all of them--are welcome here any time, Kylar. And if you need help finding some of them or delivering the news, I'm always available to offer my aid." The celestial being gazed at the chocolate brute with passive scrutiny, gauging his reaction carefully. "But have you found the killer?" she inquired cautiously, mind skipping back to that subject and lingering on it, relatively troubled.
