Hela was on her den, taking some time to rest and have some time for herself. The samurai has been quite busy with training and making sure her pupil Plague had the attention he deserved. And today she had an important art she wanted to introduce her apprentice, it was the art of the weapon crafting, a talent she knew pretty well. She learned it from her father and others from their empire. And now it was time for passing it to the next generation of Kleins, to keep the tradition alive for ages to come.

And today's item will be basic but very useful, it would be a knife made of bone. It was early in the morning and she already had all the materials needed. Several bones from past hunts rested, stones for sharpening, sticks and many other items she felt would be needed. And now all that was left was calling the kid. She rose her head and called for her apprentice.

The howl rang forth through the forest as the male was doing some patrolling. A new and very tedious part of his duties. He didn't complain about what his job entailed but that didn't mean he was overjoyed to do it. But, as he heard the call from his mentor Plague was more then excited to head in it's direction. Hopefully Hela would have some sort of lesson or training spar for him to endure. Plague took every chance he could get to further amplify his physical and mental strength. Even if it was a simple instruction he would be more then grateful

Sharp green eyes took in the site of his mentor's den before Plague dared to enter. He observed the various supplies Hela had splayed out as he spoke his greetings. "Hela." A pause. "Are we crafting?" Plague felt mild excitement bubble in his chest as he moved in a bit closer to get a good look. He spotted stones, sticks, and a few other items. With a simple wag of his tail he awaiting anxiously to be told what they were doing. Unless she had something else in mind.

She waited patiently for her pupil to come her way, she wasn't very rusty with her lessons, the rush wouldn't help in any way if one wanted to teach properly. The good things always had to wait. A soft wind came in, refreshing the dark female. She welcomed it with open paws. Her expression was serene as always, as most of the time she didn't come across things she disliked, in which another side of her may come to light. A side she didn't recommend testing.

Soon her apprentice came in to which she nodded. "Are we crafting?" "That's right my dear nephew. Today i wish to teach you about this art. An art we the Kleins have inherited from generation. And today I wished to share it to the next." She started with a calm voice and a soft smile on her maw. "I know crafting doesn't sound as exciting as sinking our fangs into other's fresh but its evenly useful. Well, crafting can help us create armor and weapons, ill teach you both but today we will begin with weapons. Some day later ill show you how to produce armor." She spoke slow and clear so he could understand as well as possible.

"Okay let's go to the point, today we will make a bone knife which is good to have in battle. You may ask why bones? Well, bones can be very sharp if molded properly. Here we have deer, bear bones and some cougar claws from a past kill." She pulled a deer femur. "Firstly, you break it, hopefully in half." She wanted to do things step by step, that was how she learned the art.

Plague sat down before the spread of bones with a flash of excitement in his eyes. It was rare to see the yearling with any emotion on his features. But, such an occasion like learning how to craft weaponry would bring forth some sort of joy. He followed along as his aunt offered an introduction on their lesson before showing him the various bones. Deer, Bear bones and Cougar claws. Green eyes flicked to his aunt's pink optics for a moment before looking back down to the equipment. For some reason he always thought of stone when it came to weapons, not bones. Now that he was thinking about it he was sure they could make fine material for a good knife or dagger.

Plague put his paw on a similar bone to the one his aunt had so he could follow along. He was very much a tactile learner. Doing was much better then just watching. As she instructed to break the bone, hopefully in half, Plague followed suit. He placed a paw on one end of the bone and gripped it with his teeth on the other end. The male then yanked his head and pivoted slightly to snap the bone in half. Thankfully it wasn't so thick that it would take much force. He then set the end he had in his mouth down to assess his work. The break was towards the center but a smidge off. Hopefully it would do. "How does that look?"

She observed patiently as her nephew followed her example, a soft smirk adorned her dark maw. Eyes of blossom pink filled with satisfaction staved into the teen's creation. She felt pleased with what she was doing, she was trespassing her father's lessons to the next generation of Kleins. She was contributing to allow their family traditions to come along the ages.

"How does that look?" She took a look at his creation. "It looks perfect, you did excellently." She said smiling. "Now we add some stuff in order to better it. Now we would need the stones to sharpen it and the sticks to create a handle to make it easier to use" There she took her own bone and with a stone she would brush the pointy region against it using her paws. Soon after, she used wet rawhide to tide the bone to the stick so she could there make the knife. "Like this, what i used to tide those together was rawhide. When it dries it is excellent to keep things together." She showed him the result.
