Theta was itching to fight somebody, she hadn’t fought anyone in a while and feared her skills might be getting rusty. She needed to fight someone who had any amount of experience and see how well her antlers served as weapons. She made her way to the battlefield before letting out a howl calling for somebody to come fight her. She just didn’t want it to be some meek wolf who’d barely hurt anything before, Theta wanted a challenge and a good one. It wasn’t any fun to beat somebody who had no experience and barely put up a fight. Theta was ready to fight tooth and nail for dominance.

The call of battle filled the air and Banshee happily obliged. Mighty paws kissed the earth with tempered haste. She wasted no time but did not want to wear herself out before a fight. As the babe moved she focused on her breathing to conserve energy. The Wolf who let forth the howl was someone familiar but distant. A call from one of Tyranis' spawn that she spent her early months of life with. Banshee wasn't able to pin point which daughter it was but she could assume their spar would be interesting nontheless. Banshee's answers came as she entered the Battlefield. Baby blue eyes feasted upon the crimson and ash sight of Theta. At this point they had been so far removed that Ban didn't have much of an opinion of the gal. "It's been a while." She couldn't remember the last time they had met. Alas, that did not matter in those moments. Banshee wasn't in the Battlefield to discuss her past but to merely fight. "You can have the first move." Theta was rather pleased to see the wolf who had answered her call. Banshee was the name if Theta remembered correctly. She hadn’t seen them since her early days before being forcefully moved up to the North. She remembered running into Recluse once after they had left, but she hadn’t seen anybody else from back then since. She figured Banshee had some fight in her given the circumstances they had grown up in. It would surprise her if any of Banshee’s or her own siblings didn’t have the ability to stand on their own in a fight.

Banshee had given her the first move and Theta wasn’t about to stand around dealing with pleasantries. She squared off with them and set her defenses in place. Ears flattened, tail tucked, and muzzle scrunched. Theta bared her teeth in a way that showed she meant business.

Eager to test out her antlers Theta tucked her chin to her chest and ran at her opponent’s chest. Her antlers weren’t sharp by any means so they likely wouldn’t draw any blood, but maybe they would cause the other wolf to get off balance and give her an opening. To help her in this goal she would also try and sweep her left front paw under Banshee’s right front leg.

Suddenly the two troubled yearlings were in the midst of battle. Theta ran at Banshee antlers first. This assault called for the Klein girl's heart rate to accelerate rather quickly. But she did not let the panic consume her. Banshee took a breath in and as she exhaled her body jolted to her right. It was an attempt to side step the charge but she was a smidge to slow, with the help of Theta's paw. Theta swept Banshee's front right paw and managed to make the fanged babe stumble ever so slightly. In result Theta's antler managed to graze Banshee's chest. They were dull enough to not puncture Ban's skin but abrasive enough to cause pain and bruising. It took only a moment for Banshee to recover from the stumble and impact. She was able to maintain her defenses as she began her own assault. Banshee attempted to lurch forward and land a bite on Theta's front left leg, a few inches above the 'knee. Ban ensured her ears were flattened to her skull and hackles raised due to her upper back now being exposed to her opponent. Banshee had dodged most of her head on attack, Theta should’ve expected that, her starting techniques were always painfully obvious. She succeeded in making the female stumble a bit, but not as much as she would have desired. They recovered quickly enough that they went for Theta’s leg with those long ass teeth of theirs, Theta was not about to let those things sink into her. Theta moved to dodge at least the top row of teeth by bringing the rest of her body in almost a right angle to the left of Banshee. The lower row of teeth grazing the outside of her left leg.

Having avoided being skewered Theta moved to capture Banshee. Bringing her front legs up to try and wrap them around Banshee’s neck. Jaws open Theta was aiming a bite at the back of Banshee’s neck, captured or not.

Banshee was unsuccessful in her attempt to wrap her fangs around her opponent's front left leg. But, she was able to scrap the bottom row of her teeth against the limb so the assault wasn't fully wasted. The metallic taste of blood tickled her tongue but it wasn't enough. Banshee felt she needed to do more. This urge was only amplified as her opponent managed to grapple Banshee in a sort of bear hug. A very solid move on Theta's part but Banshee would aim react with haste. Theta managed to sink her teeth into Banshee's neck, behind Ban's left ear to be exact. A surge of pain occurred in the region causing the young Fatalis to growl in contest. Adrenaline pumped through her youthful form and allowed her to continue on in the fight. - Since Theta had the high ground Banshee concurred it would be best to aim low. Thus, Ban attempted to land a bite at her opponent's lower chest, between Theta's two front legs. As she went in for the proposed bite Banshee would also try to stomp her own front right paw down on Theta's front left paw.
