The Ooze ParticipantThe Ooze - Variation 1Critical Hit!Valentines 2020

The young boy would wander through the forest near his father's pack lands. He liked to explore the place, and it was quiet out here, away from the hustle and bustle of pack life. He knew Bast was nearby, she was often the first choice to follow him when he went away from pack lands.

He wandered through the familiar territory, until he caught the scent of someone new. The smell was very vaguely familiar, like he had scented someone similar on Sirius recently, and maybe even on Azure too, but weirdly enough all three scents were similar, but different. Someone from one pack perhaps? Not having much experience, he went with that.

He crept closer, and to his great surprise, found the wolf bathing in the stream. Her coat was damp and sleek in the water, and for some reason the young boy found himself blushing. “Oh, uh, hello?” he said with some surprise.

Poem was determined to return her sister’s feather to her, the one that belonged to their mother. The one that belonged behind her ear and not one of the Armada’s wolves. The girl travelled with her two companions, but both of them left her for the afternoon. Six eyes were better than two, and while the boys were off Po decided to bathe. After her travels the clear of the steam had almost literally called her name she wanted it so bad.

Though it made her more vulnerable, Poem removed her armor before getting into the deep water. As the cool liquid touched her pelt she let a heavy sigh leave her lips along with the stress that held tightly to her. Life hadn’t been kind to her and her siblings, it was one reason she couldn’t let the feather go. She was going to find that boy and she didn’t care if he was Sirius’s son.

She stewed over the thoughts as she dunked herself into the chilly stream, she gasped as she returned to the surface. Poem didn’t realize she had company until his voice reached her dark ears. Blue and lavender gaze widened as she looked in his direction, and she saw the spitting image of Sirius. Her eyes narrowed as she froze in uncertainty. You. She stated accusingly as she rose from the water and vaulted towards him. There was no mistake that this was her culprit. So obsessed with the scar like markings on his face she didn’t notice his folded wings.

Me? He thought, surprise touching his heart as this stranger looked at absolute accusation. Like she knew something he didn’t uh-oh he wasn’t sure what she was taking offense to, but it was definitely something.

He started to take a step back, and then stopped himself. No, he was a Fatalis, and he would not quiver before a stranger. Instead, he stood a little straighter, staring the girl down. She was older than him, maybe by a year or so, and was taller for it. “You” he shot back, as he stared at the woman in the water. It seemed like the right thing to say, at any rate.

She had vaulted towards him when she spoke, and he had lost valuable time with his confusion, and decisions. She was just about upon him now, and he held his stance, ready to take whatever the hell this whacky stranger was going to throw his way.

She wasn’t sure if he was feigning confusion or not, the way his expression shifted as she returned his attention made her wonder. There was a nagging feeling at the back of her mind but she was much too focused on her task to give it any more attention. She was passionate about her family and even more so the yearling would do anything to help preserve the memory of her mother. She was much too occupied on getting Motif’s feather or reigning down hell on whoever tried to keep it from her.

He seemed intimidated at first, taking one tentative step back as Poem surged forward. He was quite a bit younger than she was and obviously did not have the world experience of the older Destruction. He was obviously Sirius’s son and she tried not to let herself enjoy the fact that she was about to take him on. He returned her accusatory tone but she couldn’t help but think the boy was only mirroring her. Maybe he didn’t quite understand the transgressions that he had done, but he certainly didn’t know her.

The boy looked like he was putting on a brave face, but he did belong to the warlord and she had no doubt he was taking after his father. He would be just as impressive as the big wolf one day, but for now he was shorter and she had a better chance of beating him. ”Give it back.” She growled as she encroached further on his personal space. He was going to give her the feather or she was going to have a go at him, and she wouldn’t let him forget it.

He was clueless as to what was going on, but wasn’t about to cower down in front of this crazy wolf! She had the most intense eyes, blue with a sparkle of pink as the bottom ridge. He didn’t know what it reminded him of, a flower perhaps. A strange, unusual flower. As strange as the gentle flecking of white dots scattered across the outskirts of her eyes. Her grey coat shimmered almost blue, and the rest of her body was a sharper, stiffer tone of white. She was nothing like anything he had ever seen before, so he had no idea why she looked at him with such accusations.

“No!” he yelled, not sure what ‘it’ was, but he was definitely going to hold ‘it’ against her and hold her attention for a moment longer. He felt a sudden rushing in his body, a desire to take her on and pit himself against her. He couldn’t say why, perhaps he was just lost in the strangeness of the whole thing. He had found her bathing in the water, and her body was still damp from where she had emerged, and now she was… accusing him… of.. Something. He would take it, and beat her with it. Just let her watch.

He grinned, not in mockiness as she might imagine, but the thrill of fighting her, which he just knew was about to happen. Because, well, he would make it. “Come and get ‘it’ yourself if you're brave enough” he taunted.

She experienced few moments where the feeling that was welling inside her showed its face. She didn’t start fights, but she upheld hers and her family’s honor. That included her sister’s right to the feather that had once belonged to Shaye. Poem welcomed the feeling of passion that took her, even if this boy was young he didn’t back down. She could see the passion in his eyes, but she ignored the confusion. He knew what she was talking about, and she wasn’t about to back down. She would force him to return her prize if she had to fight him to do it.

Bright eyes grew wide as he denied her, his voice was a hard no as he denied her. Her brows knit as she pulled back her lips to reveal pearly white teeth that gnashed in frustration. Poem was infinitely patient, but this boy was pushing her to the very edge. Her slate and black hackles rose all along her back as she bent her joints and rolled her shoulders. Ivory tail flagged at her hips as she assumed a more dominant position. She would force his hand and take it from her.

Poem had long forgotten her bath and how wet she was, her mind was entirely on keeping her honor. The boy wouldn’t back down, but that only drove her further. He goaded her on and Poem lowered her head, ”Fine.” She growled darkly before launching herself at the boy. He was big and as she raced toward him her eyes widened as she realized he had wings. The thought never occurred to her that Motif might have mentioned that the robber had such incredible appendages.

Her attack continued unhindered, she couldn’t afford to balk now. Poem aimed to come at him from the right, her icy blue paws carried her forward menacingly. Parted jaws aimed to grab hold of his scruff at the same time as she aimed to slam her chest into his shoulder to throw him off balance.

Mortis Fatalis

The Winged Fatalis grinned and readied himself at her single, angry word. He had never riled someone up before, except perhaps Azure, when they had too many differences between them. That riling had upset him, this one seemed thrilling. He wasn’t a tormenter, there was a touch of his mother's honor to him, so he wasn’t really sure why he needled her. Besides, he didn’t have what she wanted, and this was a weird misunderstanding.

A misunderstanding that meant he got to fight with some strange beautiful creature for a world beyond his pack, so he wasn’t complaining.

As she ran at him, he unfurled his wings, tilting them forward like a great big umbrella near his shoulder. He did so to throw off her attack at his shoulder, and aimed to hit her on the head with the end of one of his great wings. His teeth went for her throat now that she was right in front of him, her own teeth grazing his scruff.

His grin only further enraged the young girl as she leapt after him. There were few wolves able to elicit these kinds of emotions within her. The boy’s father was one of them, and she would have never guess that his boy would be able to. Where she felt intimidated next to Sirius, she was over confident when it came to his son. Poem’s brows knit and her lips pulled up into a snarl as she closed the distance between the two.

She had been through too much too fall for his trick, even if his wing buffered her hit she wouldn’t avoid the appendage. Her teeth wrapped around his scruff as she squished his wing to his body and felt the opposite one flail back to smack her head. There was plenty of discomfort but she didn’t allow his release from her grasp.

Mort’s own elongated teeth sunk into her neck and she growled heavily. With no concern for her own body’s damage Poem aimed to renew her strength and try to push the boy over with her more mature form. She wanted to push him over and shake the tar out of him until he gave her sister’s feather back.

Mortis Fatalis
He was still getting the hang of fighting with his wings, and how much they could do. He didn’t get them into position just right to block her blow, and her teeth still sunk into his scruff. He grunted as her motion squished his wing against his body. He pulled at the limb, trying to free it from the push of their bodies.

His teeth had sunk into her neck, and he held on tightly with his fangs, feeling the blood from the thick skin of her neck as it dripped down his muzzle. He raised a paw, spreading out his one free wing for balance, as he aimed to scrape his cat-sharp claws down her foreleg
