Her wandering paws knew no bounds and today they brought her to a place that was so entirely pristine and untouched with the most perfect layer of snow. She almost felt bad for marring it with her footprints, but at the same time it was kind of fun and satisfying. Grinning, the solid black woman started making a wide circle through the snow till her own footprints met up with themselves and she was able to step into the holes she had left. She moved toward the middle of the snow circle and looked around again, wondering if perhaps anyone else would appear to take advantage of this oddly flat terrain. An idea popped into her head and she went to work rolling up clumps of the snow till she had a small pile of snowballs prepared beside her. Now she just had to hope that whoever showed up had a good sense of humor. |

Sparrow was trying to enjoy the winter chill, even though she much preferred the warmth from her little experience. She wanted the world to be full of vibrant life and heat and activities for pirates and the such, but finding such flat lands of snow was nice too. Sparrow enjoyed fresh snow- fluffy and crunchy under her paws. She liked how she could find steep valleys full of snow that she could break through with her chest. She enjoyed traveling with companions, taking turns being the snow breaker versus the follower who got to enjoy the flattened trail of snow. There was a lot to like, so Sparrow was dead set on enjoying it while it lasted.
Coming upon the flattened area, Sparrow spotted the other wolf who was busy making a pile of snowballs. Now, Sparrow wasn't totally an idiot and by some clairvoyance, she had an idea of what the other wolf was thinking of doing. Sparrow started to mirror her, making a few snowballs and taking the time to carve up a little wall just in case she needed to duck behind it.

Sparrow has a female Harlequin Macaw named Pongolo and a male Capuchin monkey named Friar, and a hairless mushroom tuxedo cat named Beef Sandwich. She also has cat claws... and some weird leg spike things.

Úlfr didn't want to rest. He wanted to play! The sun was shining brightly now on the fresh fallen snow from the blizzard the night before. It was just begging to have a brave pup go running through it but his new momma thought they should rest, even though they hadn't even gone that far! Pouting he flopped down in the snow, staring at Valdis' butt. He was tempted to go running off but he had a sneaking suspicion she wasn't really asleep. He could see her ears twitching every so often.
Stretching his front paws forward he started to bat at the snow, moving it and working it before it suddenly dawned on him that he could make a ball of it. Shifting his weight to his hind legs he started rolling the snow into a ball… well, it was more of a lumpy oblong shape than a ball but he really was trying. Satisfied he debated what to do with his snowball before his eyes rested on his adoptive mother's back side. He grinned. Úlfr turned around, shifted his weight forward then kicked out with his back legs to send the snow ball flying right toward Valdís. It landed with a satisfying splat right on target causing Úlfr to let out a cheer. A lovely, wild cheer that was very suddenly cut short by the glare he was now getting. Oops…

Magnus was finding himself venturing far from the packs lands more often lately, wanting to explore and figure out this land farther than his own doorstep. The snow was frigid and he'd failed to bring something to keep him warm, but he wouldn't let himself freeze out here even without it. He kept his body moving at a quick pace towards where he'd fought with Azure before once he'd heard commotion near by enough to warrant his curiosity. He couldn't tell what was going on, but as the group of wolves came into view, he tilted his head as he watched for a moment.
Some were packing the snow into balls while another had launched one with a back paw and sent it flying across the field. He smirked, watching the projectile sail towards it's target. He didn't need to watch much longer to decide that he wanted in on this little game, and followed suit in crafting his own snowballs to launch at the hopefully unsuspecting targets. Mimicking the one that had kicked it with a hind paw, he launched his own snowball towards Tamsyn, who he'd only just recognized before launching the snowball at her.

Askan wasn't the sort to participate in frivolity but...well, he could hardly stand idly by when a snowball whizzed over his head, now could he? Taking it all very seriously, he knotted his brows as he began to dig and paw at the snow, kicking and kicking till he formed a little pile. The Selwyn was quick to split it into sections as more and more snowballs whizzed through the air. He glanced around, checking out others rolling techniques and then followed suit, smushing the snow into balls with his front paws then kicking them off with his back. He noticed one of the snowballs he'd rolled was darker than the others, dabbled with little stones, and then after a moment of hesitation he stomped it into smithereens. Sure, using a stone riddled snowball would give him an advantage over the others but that hardly seemed fair and it wasn't like he wanted to hurt anyone either. He just wanted to win, that's all.
Selecting another, Askan turned around, glanced over his shoulder and took aim at Magnus with a wiggle of his butt. Then with a hefty grunt he booted the snowball as hard and as fast as he could.
Okay, maybe this was a little fun.

(This post was last modified: 06-30-2020, 10:10 PM by Recluse.)
Recluse almost never left the pack lands in the middle of the day like this, especially with such a blinding light bouncing off of the freshly fallen snow, but something of a commotion had caught her attention and with Lilith to guide her she was feeling at least a little more confident. With cherry eyes practically closed the girl carefully picked her way towards the sound of something... As the monochromatic pair moved closer Lilith whispered into the girl's ear. "It appears to be some sort of snowball... fight?" The serpent seemed confused. Recluse for her part grinned, even feeling snow pelt her as she failed to see... anything. Instantly Recluse dashed to the ground, working her paws to roll her own stash of snowballs, she could make out the scent of the mud colored man she'd fought a few days before and he was her first target as she kicked out a ball in his general direction. She wondered if she'd get in trouble for putting rocks in hers... speech think action |
