Eir walked through the den site of the pack, eyes of cyan glanced clothed in her natural cold expression. She was on the task of patrolling the camp, and the overall territory of Lirim. As always she always placed all the responsibilities on her shoulders not caring if that would make her everyday routine an exhausting experience. But she didn't care, she never say no to do more than she could. She was a hard worker and that would never change. It was just the start of the day,and that meant Eir was far from done. But well this was part of her job,and like that she didn't complain she just did her tasks. Later she sat down under a willow to rest a bit. "Speak" |

Torin had been aware of Eir's tireless work, her scent told him she was patrolling at a near-constant rate and he had to admit he'd been relying on her a bit too much. He had so much on his shoulders, the grief of his father's passing, the ceaseless pain of his missing family... He'd allowed himself to slack a bit but he also knew he couldn't simply take advantage of the young woman's goodwill. So when Torin spotted Eir resting below a willow he couldn't help but feel a small smile tug at his lips. Torin adjusted his path to approach the young woman. "I was starting to wonder if you ever tired, it's nice to see you're mortal too." He called out as he drew into earshot, his tone light, and teasing. Talk Think |

A heavy sigh left the female's lips as there in her resting place she watched the camp with turned on senses. Since she joined the pack, she has been working as hard as she could. This was her way if paying for all the things she was given, not only a place to stay but a chance to become what she had always dreamed to be. She didn't want to disappoint Torin and any other who called Lirim their home as well. Her parents often told her to always be thankful with those who shared. Back as a nomad resources were scarse and anything they could get was to be used with gratitude. Even the smallest of things deserved a thank you. And in this case her hard work was her way to say thanks.
And there as she took her time to rest her alpha soon joined her. As he did she gave an small now of her head to show the respect. Though what he said was fun, she wanted used to be teased or joking around. But she guessed it was just a part of being within a pack. "I am," She smiled but it wasn't as big as she wanted but it was all the cold wolf could give so far. Being expressive was hard for her. And even more with authority figured around her. "I guess I can't hide it all the time." She almost let out a laugh but she drowned it on time.
She just felt unsure about showing this things in the duties time. "How have you been?" She asked respectfully,of course she would just ask what she saw as prudent to. Unless told otherwise ,she never dare to ask further or being disrespectful in any mean.

Torin acknowledged the woman's respectful dip of her head and Torin blinked graciously. It was a bit buoying to see her attempt at a smile even if it wasn't as big or natural as it might be for others and he couldn't help but feel he was seeing a little bit of his past self in the woman. Derecho and his children had helped him to loosen up, become a bit more vulnerable... in both directions. "You should do it more often, it makes you seem... warmer. It's comforting." He said, his tone a bit softer but he still gave the woman a wink. He settled on his haunches and chewed on her question. "It's been rough." He admitted. "I haven't had a chance to tell the pack yet but my father passed on a few nights ago..." He dropped his gaze, fighting back the wave of visible grief that tried to roll over him. "To that end I want to thank you for all the work you're putting in." He lifted his gaze, there was pain in his eyes but he was clearly holding back the overwhelming emotion to give Eir a meaningful look. "You've carried more weight than you ought to have for your rank and without much support from me." Talk Think |

As time passed she felt less and less foreigner in Lirim. At the beginning of her stay, she felt an stranger, someone out of the pack's essence. And because of that she never strived to build closer relationships with anyone, limiting herself to stay on her own world.Just doing what she had to to,and that was the end of the story.Another limitation issue was her reserved nature, one that made of her someone who kept things to herself, only speaking if necessary but never with the intentions of building bonds with others. But as time passed she felt different, different as she now was a bit more open to conversations and trying to emphasize with those she now shared her space with, and Torin himself was becoming her friend even if she she sometimes didnt notice such thing. "I guess, i am not used to showing my emotions.I was taught to suppress them in order to survive." She explained but unlike in any other times, her voice wasnt as cold as it was used to."My family was of nomads, surviving was the first priority, and my mother told me emotions could stand on the way and make someone die,die upon allowing the emotions to take control over common sense," This was the first time she shared some of her past with someone. "But i guess i am leaving some of those believes but being a warrior brings a similar situation." She said for then, listening to what her leader wished to say. "I haven't had a chance to tell the pack yet but my father passed on a few nights ago..." Ears pinned a bit upon hearing such tragedy. Losing someone was tough but herself maybe would never be in the position of sharing grief with others, she was taught to endure hardship and accept death as part of her existence. She had witnessed several deaths, deaths of close family and others. But now she didn't know what to say, she wasnt as tactful as others."I am sorry about your loss,I may be a stranger to you and your family but ill like to say that he may now is in a better place. May he be welcomed into the Valhalla's gates to enjoy an eternity of celebration and glory...." She said, within her own traditions. Closing her eyes for brief instants to give the fallen the respect he deserved. When she was done she looked back at Torin. As he thanked her for her help. "It's a pleasure for me to be of assistance for you and the pack. It's me who should thank you,you gave me a home. This is the last minimum i can do to repay and thank you for all you have done, and you'll have my support until my last breath. That's a promise." She said before falling silent in case he wished to speak. "Speak" |

Torin couldn't deny that he felt he and Eir were quite similar and he listened carefully to what she said on her own upbringing. He could understand what she was saying, after all he'd long believed much the same, he'd held others at a distance and he'd often felt there was weakness in the sort of emotional outbursts he'd often observed... but then, his own sternness had only worked to hurt himself and his family and was not anger it's own emotional response? He'd grown and learned that some amount of vulnerability could be it's own strength... though he was probably never going to be as open as others were. "I've learned that there are different kinds of strength and weakness and a lack of some balance is ultimately just it's own weakness." He said softly. Eir offered her condolences and Torin ducked his head a bit. He wasn't used to that... or maybe he was and he'd just never gotten used to it. He didn't exactly want other's sorry's... he wanted his father back. But he also knew he couldn't take that out on anyone, it wasn't their fault. Still Eir would continue to speak and Torin found himself chuckling softly, he raised his head then and shook his head lightly. "Thank you Eir, but please don't throw your life away for anyone." He paused, realizing how his words might sound a bit callous. "I'll take and appreciate your aid for as long as you offer it but if you find your life taking you in other directions don't feel you have to remain chained to me or my family. You deserve to live for yourself." Talk Think |

"I've learned that there are different kinds of strength and weakness and a lack of some balance is ultimately just it's own weakness." She took some moments to process her Alpha's words, she had never thought about that. She never felt she was unbalanced with her attitudes, well she just did as she was raised to be, someone who had to be beyond anything for survival and even if she didnt have to go that far anymore she couldn't help but do the same. "I understand, well i am not sure if i am being extreme but i was raised to give my best and beyond in anything,i come from an environment where life and death were just at a step away.We lived in poor conditions and we ha to be strong to no perish,i guess i should start lowering such standards,i just want to do the best for others and especially you and Lirim,i am far from paying back the debt have with you all." She answered trying to smile but all she managed to do was a crooked smile. "I'll take and appreciate your aid for as long as you offer it but if you find your life taking you in other directions don't feel you have to remain chained to me or my family. You deserve to live for yourself." "Mr.Torin,I don't have anywhere else to go,my family is far gone to who knows were, and if i am honest with you you ,all became my family. Yes i know i barely know anyone here, but still, i see you as my family and as the family, I want to stay and help in anything i can. My parents always told me to be grateful with everything, nothing was for granted in the tribe, and I cant help but feel this way towards you all." She stood silent later. "Speech" |

Torin shook his head a bit as Eir responded to his words. "I'm not asking you to change who you are." Torin chuckled. "Eir I think you're a fine young woman, I am so lucky to have you in Lirim but I just worry that there is a more exciting life for you out there. Not that I want you to leave." He chuckled again. He had to admit that he admired the sentiment and frankly he was taken aback, almost a little emotional. Almost without thinking his flashed a forepaw out, seeking to hook it around the young woman and pull her into a short embrace. "Eir you are family. This pack was originally made by my mother to be an extended home for our family, and though it isn't quite like that anymore I still consider our members to be family." He pulled away. "I don't know what debt you feel you carry but know whatever it is I consider it paid already." Talk Think |
