A bit of melting snow and soggy furs had sparked the flames of idea within the mind of Iolaire. It would do better to keep the furs off of the ground, so she was going to set about doing just that. First the small woman made her way to the wood pile, selecting several equally sized chunks that could serve as the bracers for a base. She tossed them into the cart that Ila, the caribou, pulled along behind her. Next she made her way to the pile of willow saplings that she'd chopped down for building purposes. Choosing the thinnest ones of the bunch, she added those to the pile as well. Lastly, Io cut down swathes of the long grasses that littered the plain. These would serve quite well for what she had in mind, plus they had a nice, sweet smell to them. With everything that she needed at hand, Io situated herself just outside of the cottage on a pile of dry furs. She was going to do what she did best; build things. If anyone happened along and felt the need to help, she would gladly let them witness her prototype. "Speech"

Dunkan Sarcova " “Satisfaction is reserved for the Nonconformist.” " Dunkan traveled through the Plains with a serious expression in his eyes.He was up to just patrol and maybe later he could resume his training, training he saw pertinent to get better chances to commit Sirius' challenge in a successful way.That was he just walked taking note of the place but not saying a word. Some hours later he felt done and decided to head back to his den and as he walked he passed before a hut and something there caught his attention. Someone he had just seen in the meeting was on a pile of furs and a lot of materials lied down around her.This made him curious but he wasnt sure if it was okay for him to intrude.But maybe she needed help. Respectfully he made a noise with his throat to announce his presence. "Excuse me miss,do you need help?" He asked as he stared at her. He did sat or anything as he wouldn't do so unless given permission. "speak"

A low voice pulled the small woman's attention from her task. Seeing the boy, Io flashed him a winning smile. "Hello, Dunkan." They'd shared the same pack for quite some time. They'd crossed paths a few times since it was inevitable, but they'd never really spoken. She had cleaned up his wounds after the raid as well. She didn't know much about the young man, however. He offered assistance and she nodded. It might very well help to have another set of paws. Enki was off spending time with his woman and cubs, so she was all alone in her machinations. Io gestured for Dunkan to take a seat across from her, the woman's odd digits moving in a sweeping motion. "Please," she said sweetly before beginning to show him what she was working on. Io pointed to the pile of wood and grasses that she'd collected. Taking up the branches, she began layering the ends so that they crossed in an X shape at the corners. Using the twine that she had created, Iolaire tied the branches together. "I'm working to build a sleeping frame to keep bed furs off of the ground." It was a little difficult to hold all of the crossed branches in place by herself, so she motioned for Dunkan to hold one set of intersecting branches while she tied them off. "This is just the first attempt. If we make something worthwhile, I'll make you one as well to say thanks. What do you think?" Again she smiled. The boy was always so dry and formal. She hoped that she could bring him out of his shell a bit. They weren't in battle now and there was nothing expected of him here. He was still young. He should take advantage of that. "Speech"

The woman greeted him promptly and he nodded in silence taking a seat. And there she accepted his help,and her gesture was enough to let him know what he had to do first,and this he sat down before her and there he took a chance to observe what the woman was up to. She then pointed at all the wood,he was impressed with the amount that there was,grass aswell. His focus was soon caught by this,seeing it as something fascinating even if they haven't started yet,maybe he could learn something from this. And Io then started to place the wood in a way at the point to form an X. "I'm working to build a sleeping frame to keep bed furs off of the ground." "I see,and are these the materials to make one?" He asked calmly as he paid attention to her actions. She gave m¿him a silent command and he just did as he placed himself in a side and with his paw he tried to keep the branches in place. "This is just the first attempt. If we make something worthwhile, I'll make you one as well to say thanks. What do you think?" "Sounds perfect for me.Ill aid." He said in a firm voice. "speak"

Dunkan agreed to help her and he placed his paws where she indicated, holding the sticks still. Deftly and precisely, she tied the rods in place with twine before adding more and more. Each new addition was secured until one corner was at least a foot off of the ground. Iolaire then moved on to the next set of corners and began adding more saplings. Dunkan did his part, holding the sticks where they needed to be. Soon they had four sets of V shaped sticks. "Now we need to tie all of the sets together to make a frame of sorts." Carefully. she took up two sets of corners and began tying the centers together, overlapping the branches fore more security. Eventually, all four sets were tied together, creating the frame that she'd seen in her minds eye. "We make a good team." Io grinned at the boy before taking up more saplings. "Now we need to build supports in the center to keep us off the ground, eh?" Once that was finished, Io pressed on the wooden slats to see just how sturdy it would be. Taking up the furs that rested on her front porch area, she placed them atop the prototype frame and climbed on top. "Heyyyy, this is pretty nice." It gave a new feel to things. Made the sleeping furs seem more airy in a way. She quite liked it. "Speech"
