Aurielle Adravendi |
It was time to call the fighters to announce themselves and the Spirit waited in the bottom of the Basin, watching the horizon line above her for the right moment. When the sky was light enough, she tipped her muzzle to the sky and sang, long and loud, for the fighters, though any could participate in the upcoming, multi day tournament.
The grass had been cut short for a good sixty feet in a circle, and she stook in the center. At the edge of the circle, brightly painted stones marked the perimeter. In the coming fights, stepping or being shoved over the line of stones was an immediate loss.
The fighters would have an audience, with the higher vantage point of the basin’s edges. It would – hopefully – be a spectacle, and a major improvement over last year’s first attempt at this tournament.

At first glance, Aurielle's coat is pure white.. Her fur has an iridescent quality (like moonstones) where the fur shimmers different colors under various angles of light: in this case, the colors shown by rainbow moonstones. Not one hair on her hide is a solid unnatural color, but, ya know, it's really hard to convey that in still art :P
Aurielle's English is heavily laden with an Irish, Swedish mixed accent.
Her family is allowed to crash all her threads, Private and Open.
As of Autumn Year 14, Aurielle glows with a bright blue-white bio-luminescence in her fur, and bears a marking over her left eye - see profile and reference.
He was very bored and want to live as soon as he could from this place. Nothing that exciting was taking place just wolves talking and nothing else.He sighed as he lied down with his companion also bored. But then The call for fighters made him feel the adrenaline, feel the strength to fight. After his lose on the Raid,he wanted to take every chance he could find to be better,to practice and meet his limits. And surely Urasa wanted that aswell. And there both creatures walked toward the call finding a sort of ring. This seemed nice. Finally, something fun to do on the festival, something worth the interest. He approached the white longhaired wolf. "I am Dunkan Sarcova warrior of the Armada,i am joining the fights." He stated shortly. "Speech" |
Cloacked in his hooded armored bearskin with his hyena and wild dog taking up each flank, he approached and cleared his throat. "Magnus, warrior of the Armada. Joining the fights." He announced, repeating the fellow warriors words from under the heavy hood of his cloak.
Commission Shop ─ Plot with me!
Eir walked forward upon hearing the call, the call for the warriors. She was determined to try her luck in this tournament,to check where she was at in her strength and maybe get to know other warriors through combat.Either way she was ready to do her best,to show all she had.Being one of the only Armigeri Lirim had,she needed to keep herself in the best of shapes,to be deadly if needed to but wise. She needed this, she needed to step forward.
And there'she arrived with two more wolves already there, stating their desire to participate. "Eir Ragnarok,Lirim's Armigeri." She said as she took seat. "I will join aswell," She stated without hesitation.
A loud song pierced the air that drew Rhae’s curiosity and presence, spotting the familiar glowing Spirit calling for fighters to announce themselves, a smirk sliding across her maw. She was always looking to practice her skills, still a little rusty from her time on the run with few fights or spars to get herself into.
Rhae had been looking for opportunities to practice, particularly against opponents in armor since her strange introduction to it in the form of a spar with Cairo. She grinned, gathering where the rest of the warriors were with her head held high. “We’ll join the fray.” She said with an excited look on her features. Carlys landed on her shoulder, having been hovered about her as the bird started to glance at those they might be opposing, taking stock of them and looking for weaknesses. There were so many wolves already gathered, and Rhae was looking forward to the idea of taking a crack at some of them.

Many wolves had already approached the glowing alpha about joining the competition, though Az struggled to find many his own age. He definitely didn't want to be placed with the babies, not when he'd already had wins versus grown adults and stood taller then every applicant so far. His introduction with Aurielle previously hadn't gone wonderfully, though perhaps if he did his best to be polite she'd forgive it and let him show his strength. Tournaments weren't necessarily his thing, though he had with him at the festival a friend and damnit he was going to prove to Hana just how powerful he could be. Sirius hadn't offered the alpha the age of his kids either at their meeting, so he hoped he could get away with a lie. Though the warlord accompanied him to the circle he allowed Az to step inside on his own. The near-yearling dipped his head in a shallow bow before straightening and addressing the alpha. "I'd like to enter with the youths, please." Should she find there were no other young wolves to challenge him, Azure would gladly jump up to the adult bracket instead. Many other Armada wolves were already gathered for the competition and Az nodded to each of them in greeting before turning back to Aurielle. "Speech"

Not all of these features are always reflected in his art.
Askan yawned, flashing his teeth as he lingered at the edges, watching the crowds swell and heave as all sorts of events were announced. Hunting games, races and even herb gathering, activities he had very little interest in. He almost wanted to just throw in the towel and leave but then another call rang out and his ears flicked forward to attention. A fighting tournament? Now that was more like it!
Making his way to the edge of the basin Askan noticed a gathering of wolves, all of different shapes, sizes and colours. It was only then that he realised that he recognised one of them, that white lady who'd shined so bright it made him squint more than usual. So she was the one who put all of this fanfare together then? Good on her, he guessed. Striding forward to the front of the crowd Askan cleared his throat to get the white woman's attention.
"Count me in." He said, his voice firm with his usual edge of stubbornness.
If nothing this would be a chance to test his skills, especially since it had been a while since he'd last gotten into a scrap and he didn't really think it counted anyway...

It was time to sign up, and he padded down the slope as Aurielle’s voice sang for the fighters. Ardyn was bouncing at his heels, though the pup settled into a puppy’s dignity once they were within eyesight of the slowly growing group. The two stepped through the others, and Cai stood before his Lady with a dip of the head.
“Cairo Adravendi, Steadfast Seeker of Valhalla, Adult Tier, Main and Melee, and among the Masters.” He wasn’t sure he was that good yet, but he had a feeling she’d correct him if he tried to go in the bracket he thought he was at in skill. He’d just have to see if he’d make it past the first round.
He stepped back, casting a glance around at the gathered fighters. There was still no sign of Lia. Perhaps she would come later.

Ardyn Cadeyrn Aodhán Phoenix Adravendi |
Ardyn was full of jubilant excitement as he bounced along after Cairo, though occasionally he tossed glances back to search for his father, or Aoife, or any of his other siblings. Or any other pups his age, for that matter. He’d been loving the festival since the start.
Today, it was time for the fighters to sign up, and he would be signing up, too. He stood back, watching Cairo as he stated himself, then, in his turn, padded up and met his mother’s eyes, stating firmly, and with much more dignity than his age would indicate, “Ardyn Adravendi, Destiny of Valhalla. Pup Tier.”
His eyes asked the silent question, Did I do it right? At his mother’s minute nod and twinkle of the eyes, he grinned, tail fanning fire in the air before he went to sit by Cairo.

Ardyn at first glance is as black as can be imagined with a raven sheen.
Closer inspection proves that he shimmers in fire tones in every hair on his hide right down to his lashes.
More obviously, he glows like a bed of coals and flames with every movement and brush of fur. His tail is usually wagging, so blazes like a torch.
His adult teeth are in and his saber canines have grown to their full length (see profile). His mane and tail hair have grown to full length, as well as being lightweight and easily buffeted by breezes.
A look at his front paws will give the impression of hands, with his dew claw dropped low and lengthened into a functioning thumb, and his toes elongated into fingers. He has retractable, solid black cat-like claws on every paw.
Ardyn has developed a glowing mast of intricate markings in fire and ice colors over his face, symmetrical over the last seasons of Year 17 (see profile for details). During hunts or raids/sieges, he will smudge them out with black soot to cover the glow, otherwise, they are bright enough to note at first direct glance at his face. Not all his artwork currently portrays the mask markings.
He is also often bedecked in beads, small bells, feathers in blues, ribbons and braids thanks to the Ooze Event of Halloween 2021, and the Coathanger item that he got. The accessories generally are seen most in his mane and tail hair. He removes the brighter items and bells for hunts or battle.
Nolan grinned a bit when he heard Aurielle call for the fighters. Finally! This was the event he was looking forward to the most. He'd even make a quick trip back to the dens to grab his bracers after he heard about it. He knew he wasn't the strongest fighter yet, especially when he had Cairo to compare himself to, but he was still excited about it all the same. It made him wonder who he might get paired up with as he made his way down into the clearing and started looking around at everyone else that had gathered thus far. It seemed like a pretty good turnout! There was some really strong looking fighters around so he was excited to get started. He walked up just in time to hear Cairo and Ardyn give their names and titles and the whole nine yards to enter the tournament and he figured he better do something similar. He walked over to Aurielle and told her, "Nolan Adravendi, Nerved Trace for Valhalla... Uh... Whichever tier you wanna put me in!" With that he gave her a slightly apologetic, goofy grin before turning away from her and going to plop himself down next to Cairo and his little cousin, giving them both a grin as well. He looked around to where he assumed others could come to watch and his wail wagged with a mix of excitement and nervousness. The sooner they got started the better! |
He'd been looking forward to the tournament quite a bit. His skills as a fighter were something that he had been really focusing on lately so he was pretty interested to see how he would stack up against these other fighters. If nothing else then he was interested to see how others fought and glean a bit of knowledge from them. He walked down into the clearing that had obviously been made specifically for this purpose and he began to scope out who his competition could possibly be. He spotted the woman he had spoken to earlier and he turned his path to head in her direction. He gave Eir a friendly grin and told her, "Made it to the fights after all, huh?" Chuckling softly he looked up and saw Cairo and the pup that had oh so politely introduced himself as Ardyn declaring their intent to join the tournament quite eloquently. Another tall young man he didn't know followed their lead. He smirked a little and walked a bit closer to Aurielle before giving her a polite dip of his head. "I'm afraid I don't quite have the names and titles the rest of our family does, but I will still take part in the tournament." He settled down onto his haunches off to the side to wait, a pleasant smile lingering on his lips. His silver gaze scanned the crowd before looking up toward where others would be able to watch their progress and he already decided that whenever he would eventually be knocked out of the running that he would go there to watch the rest of the fights. He could use all of the tips he could get his paws on. |
When the call went out for the fighters to gather around Casso hesitated heavily before finally deciding to head down to the clearing that Aurielle called from. Fighting had never been his strongest skill or the one that he had been the most interested in learning, but he felt like it was going to be an important skill to have if he was going to be living in his uncle's pack. Whenever they eventually needed to defend against raids or even launch one of their own then he wanted to be prepared to help. Of course he would always focus more on his skill as a hunter, that didn't mean that he couldn't study both disciplines. He reached the group that had gathered and he lingered toward the outskirts for a long moment, watching how others told Aurielle how they wished to participate. He was most certainly going to be one of the least skilled here, but it could still be a learning experience if nothing else. He gave the Spirit a nod and told her, "I'll be participating as well." He offered her a small smile before turning away and settling toward the back of the group. He studied the other wolves and tried to piece together who he might have any sort of chance at standing up to them. It was just to difficult to tell who had been through training or had lots of experience and who hadn't. It wasn't like hunting prey where he could begin to pick out the weak and sick of the herd. |
She hadn't been certain about joining in on the festival's fighting tournament, but Elba had ended up joining her at the festival and as soon as her daughter heard about the tournament she had been so excited about it that it was contagious. She let her daughter convince her to enter so she followed Elba down into the neatly prepared clearing. She chuckled at her daughter's excited wiggling - the young woman clearly unable to sit still. There was quite a few fighters here already and she easily picked Nolan, Cairo, and Ardyn out of the crowd as well as Casso. She'd seen her younger brother at the beginning of the festival before Aurielle's announcements, but hadn't had the chance to actually talk with him. "We'll participate in the fights as well, Aurielle," she told her cousin with a smile, that smile quickly turning into an amused grin as she watched her energetic daughter fidgeting with excitement. "You better calm down or you're going to wear yourself out before your first fight," she told Elba as they turned to go joined the gathered fighters. Daelos walked over to where Casso was sitting, giving him a smile and pressing her nose to his cheek before she settled on her haunches beside him. She knew he wasn't one for affections, but she hadn't seen him in quite a while so she was simply happy to be with him again. |
Elba had been a bit late getting to the festival, but she had made sure she'd at least get there in time for the fighting tournament. She'd been focusing so hard on her healing skills lately that she hadn't been practicing nearly enough with her fighting. This was the perfect reason for her to get back at it! She danced along beside her mother as they went down toward the festival, practically going in circles around her as she tried to resist the urge to sprint down to the clearing on her own. She wanted her to just go faster, but that wasn't going to happen. Eventually they did make it down there and she was bouncing in place as Daelos told Aurielle that they would be competing. "Yeah! I'm really excited!" she exclaimed with a wide grin - as if it wasn't completely obvious just from her demeanor. Once their participation was confirmed she darted over to where Cairo, Nolan, and Ardyn were sitting so she could join them, pretty much missing the warning her mother gave her entirely while her tail was going a mile a minute behind her. She wasn't going to be anywhere as good as a lot of the fighters here, but that was okay! Her father had always taught her that learning was the most important thing and this was going to be a great learning experience if nothing else. She made herself sit down next to her cousins so she could wait ever so impatiently for things to begin. |
Deus begged his mother to be allowed into the fighting competition with the other pups his age, his tiny puppy tail wagging fiercely and the most convincing you-can't-turn-this-down expression on his face. In the end the decision was passed to dad, and thankfully Pyrrhic was much easier to convince then his mother was.
He could tell his mother was unbelievably stressed about her kids wanting to enter the ring, and so Deus did what any good momma's boy would do and offered to her his favorite blanket. It was a tiny scrap, large enough for the boy to wear over his shoulders for comfort whenever he might be afraid or uncertain but small enough to carry around with him. Knowing his possession was safe with her, he trotted happily into the ring and towards the glowing alpha's feet.
"My name is Asmodeus Nightingale Abraxas, ma'am." With a dazzling smile he gave her a deep puppy bow, though the motion was awkward and he nearly tripped on his front paws as he stood back to his full height. "And I want to join the pup fights!"

The fights had interested him, and he’d heard of races as well, which sounded fun. It was unlikely he would find a fellow horse here at the fights, but he made his way down the slope, just behind a scampering – and absolutely tiny – wolf pup.
He arrived in time for her pronouncement, a smile touching his soft, equine lips before he came to stand behind the group, towering over even the largest wolves in the group, catching a surprised glance from a few of the wolves—a dappled brown male, not to mention the Lady herself.
He called out in a soft rumble, voice carrying enough to reach her, “Taliesyn Trystan Tempestien, son of Obsidian.” He let the name of his mother hang in the air, seeing the recognition in her eyes and a thrill in his chest as he completed, “I would like to join the fights, if you would have me.”
