Venom sat quietly on the beach as she contemplated everything, life seemed to be moving slowly since the spring arrived. Her rose and lilac gaze drifted out over the water as she sat stoically on the beach. The sun would be rising soon but for now the moon’s light played gleefully on the gentle waves. The breeze was so gentle it was non existent and for many long moments the Crown Princess remained motionless.
She could feel change on the breeze, just like the seasons came and went so did the world. Everything was different now, she felt like a different wolf than the young puppy born to the ravine. Many had fallen by the way side, and after the performance during the raid she was eager to rid herself of the extra weight that drug behind her. Ashen had much more potential that she was eager to harness, starting with her young brother.
He was getting huge, and his raw physical power would be used for or against her she had no doubt. She would much prefer he would work with her, but even with all her effort he could go his own way. She was still unconvinced that she could rely on his loyalty. After their sledding incident Venom wanted to explore further her relationship with her younger sibling. To try and ascertain for certain if she could convince him further. Only time would tell.
Venom lifted herself from the sand and began moving in the direction she was more likely to find him. She had a task she thought he might find interesting at the least. ”Chimera.” She spoke his name aloud when she neared where she hoped to find him.

The older he became, the more the two-toned boy realized that he wasn't like other wolves. He'd begun to stay on his own more and more and wasn't able to understand the actions or emotions of others. His self ostracizing had left him lots of time to think. In his mind, he was too creative. In his mind, Chimera was different because someone had made him so. Or some thing. Chimera had heard of the gods in passing. It was an interesting concept. Had invisible beings with powers unknown to wolfen kind shaped his being? Perhaps even shaped him in their image? In his time alone, this was something that he thought about often. It wasn't a thought that was likely to leave the boy any time soon. In his loads of spare time, Chi had taught himself to hunt. He realized and accepted that he was different. Often when he killed a creature, he would let it die on its own. One of his favorite pass times was to watch the last flicker of light leave their eyes. One moment their eyes were glassy and twitching with movement. The next they were dull and the gaze was hollow. It was terribly fascinating to watch. Sometimes the boy got lost in those dead eyes, only to awake what seemed like hours later with a cold meal in front of him. Chimera, because of his pale skin and aversion to the sun, was often awake most of the night and some of the evening if he could find enough cool shade. He was already awake and had been for quite some time when his older sister called for him. It was interesting to him that she knew where to find him. Yes, he frequented this part of the territory, but that would soon change. He didn't want to be found, and so would have to find a new favorite place. Stepping out of the thick shadows of the wide fronded palms, the boy brought his two-toned gaze to rest on the form of his sister. She was pretty in her own way. Not as appealing as Siren in terms of biting. That wasn't to say that he wouldn't sink his teeth into her if he had the chance. It was just something that he enjoyed doing. There was something about penetrating the body of a living, breathing creature with his teeth that was just... indescribable. That feeling was heightened when the creature shared his own blood. Thought not fully grown, Chimera's body already showed what he would be. Thick and powerful. Already muscle corded the boys legs and chest. Long hours of travel and hunting. His voice had changed from the soft, puppy tones and were deeper, though not as deep yet as they would become. Somehow his voice was smooth, like a snake slithering through water. "Venom," he answered in kind, his gaze shifting to the side a moment later to look for the Silent One that seemed to follow her. Today, it was nowhere to be seen. "Speech" |

Chimera is a very adult character and takes part in very adult situations. Don't read his threads. Ever.
Chi has three black Tibetan Mastiff's as guards. Assume they're very close by.

She wouldn’t be forced to wait for very long. Purple pink gaze shifted as her name filtered through the foliage. Chimera appeared before her, looking even bigger than the last time she laid eyes on him. She hid any of her frustration in him, she could see the power that was in development. Venom just had no way to harness him. He came when she asked for him this time though, maybe he was just being generous.
”Oh, hello.” She purred with a flick of her forked tongue. ”Thanks for humoring me, what are you doing? I need… help.” She chose her words carefully. ”I’ve found a honey bee hive. It might not be as fun as sledding but maybe you’ll get some agility practice.” The Crown Princess raised her brow curiously, wondering if he’d accept her challenge and if she’d be enjoying some comb later in the evening.
Maybe she could share a bit with Azure later. That was a thought she tried to suppress, though she’d found her mind wandering to him more often than usual. They hadn’t been spending as much time training, but as she mentally shook him from her mind she knew that she wanted to. For now, her brother had all of her attention. She had a mission.

Mismatched ears perked as his sister suggested that they pilfer honey from a hive. He didn't really want to, but he also didn't not want to? Something was better than nothing. Really, he'd just been sitting still, musing. Might as well go try something new. How would he ever discover whether or not he liked the taste of honey? Chimera gave a slight shrug and moved further onto the moonlit beach. Venom would have to lead the way since he obviously didn't know where the hive was. Her words were just fluff and he took what he needed from them. They didn't necessitate a reply, so he didn't give one. As the pair moved along down the beach, Chimera sized up his sibling. They were closer to the same size now than when they'd gone sledding. He was much more thickly built than she was. Pity he wasn't born with quills or claws, but the boy rather liked his current appearance. Chimera thought that he was quite handsome and was admittedly a little vain. He liked to keep himself clean and his coat shiny. This would be used to his advantage later in life, but for now, he simply enjoyed it. "Speech" |

Chimera shrugged with apathy but that was good enough for the princess. He didn’t outright deny her, she’d consider it a success. With a classic Klein smirk and flick of her tongue Venom led them away from her brother’s little hiding place. He didn’t give her any more words, but that was also fine with the young heir. He was a unique one, and even more she was uncertain of her trust in him. For now they could focus on harvesting their honey. She’d think more on if his future was entwined with hers or not.
He walked beside her as she worked her way back to where she’d found the open air hive. She could feel victory already as purple pink eyes fell onto the massive hive hanging from a low branch on an ancient live oak. ”That’s it.” She told him bluntly as her own languid form came to a halt. The real question was how to acquire the comb. Bright eyes turned to her brother expectantly, ”Alright, distract the bees and i’ll get us our reward.” She shifted from foot to foot, eyes never leaving the swarming mess. So far the hive was non aggressive but as soon as they threatened the honey or larva she knew it would be like a switch was flipped.

Venom lead him to where she had seen the hive. The two-toned boy stopped, staring up at the swarming mass. At least it wasn't a gigantic hive, he supposed. Chimera knew from personal experience that bees stung when they were angry. Well, so did he.
His sister told him to distract the bees and she would get the honey. He wrinkled his nose slightly. So he would be the one in danger and she would reap the rewards? Mismatched eyes stared her down, though only one could see her. "Whatever you find, I get half." He wouldn't take no for an answer. He didn't even know what honey tasted like, but he knew that if he was going through the effort, then he wanted what was rightly his.
Moving to stand beneath the hive, he inspected the way that it hung. It seemed that the hive was connected by a single, thin branch. If he could sever that branch, then the hive would come crashing down. The bees would no doubt chase him. Or at least some of them would. He could make a break for the water. Insects couldn't fly under water.
Scanning the area, Chimera found a thick chunk of wood. Taking it up, he cast one final glance at his sister, then threw the wood with all of his might at the hive. His aim was true and the whole of it went crashing to the ground. Before it even struck, the bees were in a frenzy. They weren't stupid. They had seen what had happened and were intent on making the black and white beast pay. Chimera took off away from the shattered hive and, after only a few stings, found safety in the salty waters nearby. Venom would give him what he was due or he would never help her again.

His voice seemed to be getting deeper by the day and sometimes it was easy to forget that he was so young still. His gaze was hard as she offered up a limited plan and he stated that he deserved half of whatever she harvested. ”I would never take advantage of you, Chimera. You’re doing most of the heavy lifting, I’d be happy to give you more than half.” She offered him with raised brows. She could predict what he would do but she hoped for a surprise.
Either way the boy got into position and so did Venom, standing back and finding cover in the foliage. Likely she would get some stings herself, but maybe not. Maybe Chimera was a bee whisperer.
No, he was definitely not, as made clear as he swung the log and brought teh beehive down. Without hesitation Chimera raced off and Venom held her breath for a long moment before moving herself. The hive wasn’t all honey comb, and though she was getting stung herself she was able to seperate the two. She grabbed the branch with most of the comb and booked it. Her stings stung, but the sweet taste of honey in her mouth was worth it. Already she got excited about her plan to share it with Azure.
She was on the other side of the island when she stopped. Chest heaving with every labored breath. The bees were gone though and she had their spoils. She set the huge comb at her feet and looked to her brother. ”Alright, take what you want.” Even one small part of the comb would be plenty to share with Azure. Though she wondered what Chimera would do wth his.

Venom said that she'd never take advantage but he didn't trust words. Actions showed truth. If she didn't follow through, he would make her life a living hell. That, he swore. After the hive came down and the bees had gone back to inspect the massacre that was their hive, Chimera padded out of the water. He had a huge sting just under his eye and it was beginning to swell shut. Another sent his pink nose to swelling. There were various other stings on his face, ears and shoulders, but he would live.
With the pieces of comb that Venom had managed to steal set out before him, the boy stared at the chunks and took the larger of the two for his troubles. He still wasn't sure if he even liked honey. As he picked up the piece in his mouth, a bit of the sweet substance met his tongue. It was overpowering and he found it to be quite disgusting. Chimera spat the comb into the sand, his nose wrinkling in distaste. "What a waste of time," he growled low before stalking away from his sister and back into the darkness of the trees. He'd think twice before helping her again. It hadn't been worth the effort.
