Not knowing the difference
"Your Highness." he flexed his throat, nodding his head happy with the result. "Yes, No." he went through some of the basics, however some words still escaped him. Seven coughed his unused vocal chords straining. Deciding to take a small break he took in a deep breath and layed down in the grass taking in the sun. Seven smiled wagging his tail slightly - just a moment a small moment in his dirty glory to rest.

It felt kind of naughty to be wandering around on someone else’s territory unescorted, but she hadn’t really expected to make the swim all the way out here either. She had caught her breath on the shoreline, basking in the sunlight, allowing it to dry out her fur, and well, now that she was here... As far as she knew she wasn’t expected anywhere pressing today.
The Archer-Lyall tried to carry herself like she belonged, hoping the scent of Sirius and the rest of the Armada would be enough to keep her safe, if anyone asked she was doing her duty as a warrior, getting a lay of the lands she might be called on defend, right? Yeah, that’d work in a pinch. Set in her story, her steps gained confidence. That was, until she heard someone speaking just out of sight. The words seemed to be answers to half a conversation unheard and her ears turned back in a silent cringe. Maybe she was meant to howl like she did when she visited her Aunt? Oh shit, what if she’d start a war with her cluelessness?
Deciding she would be far better off to come out and beg forgiveness now (only because she knew this pack was an ally, mind, if it was anyone else she wouldn’t care), the silver woman crept forward with her head dipped low and tail tucked apologetically, wagging under her belly. Whoever the tan hued man had been speaking to had left, but still her lips were pulled tight in an apologetic smile. He didn’t seem mad, at least, that had to work in her favour right?

Quickly he looked around, standing and spinning in a circle. One moment he was gone the next he was back with a dove in his jaws. Promptly he plopped the bird by her feet. This would show if this lady was a master or not. Seven nosed at the bird for a moment with a smile and wagged his tail at the offering. Perhaps despite his muteness she would understand what he was getting at. Nervously twitching the end of his tail he made sure not to make eye contact.

It appeared that the Archer-Lyall had startled the wolf before her and she immediately felt bad for doing so, but at least he didn’t seem angry with her. When the other wolf spun, she stood up, bringing her head to a more neutral position, her tail untucking but still maintaining a wave, head canting to the right and brow wrinkling with worry. What was he doing?
Her ears were turned forward attentively, there was something in the lack of immediate greeting that made her wonder if he was like her Uncle Greer, who very rarely ever spoke at all. When he came back with a bird between his jaws and nosed it towards her, she shook out her coat to dispel some of the tension in the air, hoping he would read it for what it was. She wasn’t a threat to him. Her tail inched higher, waving all the while, an easy smile on her face. She touched her nose to the dove then stepped forward to press her nose to the tan wolfs temple in thanks, teeth nibbling at the thick fur of his cheek just below his ear. She had already eaten before her swim, but she appreciated the gesture.
Sedna would try to brush shoulders with the earthy hued man before stepping back to pick up the dove between her jaws, smiling before dropping into a play bow and letting it drop between her paws. Did he wanna wrestle for it? She was more than happy to share.
