Alarr

Tyrian was on a fact finding mission. Recently he'd accepted a self characterized "friend" of Alarr's and he was eager to find out more information on the matter. Namely, what motives would compel a girl to leave her family pack for a boy. Because while he could think of a few motivating factors, bards would never grow tired of singing about the one he was thinking of. Tyrian was hesitant to label anything love - that just seemed too serious and mushy - but he'd happily call his theory a 'crush'. Of course he had very little to base this theory on; just a nagging feeling and - really - the desire to tease his brother over the matter.
But where oh where had Alarr gone. Tyrian was quietly picking through the Range in search of him. He knew he had to be around somewhere but he was hesitant to call for him lest he pique their father's curiosity. The old man's scent was in the area too and he didn't want their father to hog the interrogation if he caught wind of what Tyrian was insinuating and/or chase the lovebird off by coming on too strong. Which, knowing Valentine, he would. And that would be a shame.
He stopped and squinted at the rundown barn, trying to see if he could pick out Alarr among the deep shadows. His brother was around somewhere. He knew that much.

Álarr peeled the coyotes flesh back further as he eyed the internal organs. With Afi's help he'd poisoned a rabbit and baited a coyote that had been skirting close to Fireside's border. He was now investigating the results. Testing herbs and their dosages was risking business and he didn't like testing on himself or his pack mates but he was learning that coyotes were fairly similar to wolves in their anatomy. He shifted guts out of the way before bending his head to crack the rib cage so that he could get a closer look at the heart. He had a feeling that's where his answers would be.
He'd just started pulling apart the ribcage when he heard someone approach. Peeking up with his blood stained muzzle he saw his brother standing at the barn entrance. "Hey Tyrian! What brings you my way?"

Tyrian's eyebrows rose when he caught sight of what his brother was working on, but honestly he wasn't too surprised and he certainly didn't find the scene alarming. Canines though they may have been, no one liked coyotes. And his brother had been taking apart critters for as far back as Tyrian could remember. He was just surprised to find him doing that here, now. But, he mused sardonically to himself, any time could be dissection time if you had a body and an inkling.
"Hey." Casually, Tyrian circled around Alarr so he could sit across from him while his brother worked. This way he'd have an unobstructed view of Alarr's face should the topic Tyrian was about to present him with evoke an interesting reaction. Tyrian wanted to see it in all of its unveiled glory. "Oh," he said in an offhanded tone. "Nothing pressing. I just have a couple questions about Fireside's newest member. Says she knows you. Name's Pestilence?"

Álarr licked the blood off his muzzle, eyeing the coyote for one more moment before turning his attention back to his brother. It didn't seem the news was too pressing so Álarr went back to working on the dissection. He didn't get far when Tyrian mentioned Pesto's name. Álarr's head snapped up. "Pesto? She's here? It's about time I was wondering when she was going to join. I uh, yea we know each other. We're friends. We met at Valhalla's festival some time back. Her family is a little crazy. Her father's a real nutty Abraxas." He rolled his eyes at the nonsense some wolves believed. He glanced at Tyrian, his head cocking to the side just a bit. "What do you think of her?" He was curious as to his brother's opinion. She was still young but she was a good fighter from what he knew.
