Justice!

Loosened by the liquor Dómari stumbled for a moment then regained his footing and marched right toward Justice, intent to say what he'd told to Caelia. A small voice in the back of his head was trying to pull him back but it was drowned out. He wasn't going to stop this time, he was going to tell Justice exactly how he felt. He saw her lay on the beach with her drink, looking through the crowd. He meandered over to her and flopped down right next to her. "Justice, I talkedwith C-lia." He took a deep breath. "I hafta tell you smthin. You… you 'mazing. You are the best fighter… like… ever. You are gorgeous, you know that? Gorgeous!" He didn't realize he'd yelled the last word and kept right on speaking. "You'reawesomeandIlikeyouandmightevenloveyou… fuk… I love you." "Speech" |

Laying there with a drink cradled between her forepaws, Justice watched the goings-on through lazily narrowed eyes as she sized up the crowd, considered which would be worth cutting out of the herd to devour. The sound of paws on the sand drew her attention to Domari's unsteady progress her way, and her eyes lit with anticipation. With a predatory grin she shifted to bring her gaze onto him. Oh, so convincing him to follow her on this crazy expedition was bearing fruit, was it? He had shied off last time she'd suggested they screw around, but the atmosphere here stripped away a lot of inhibitions- maybe she'd be showing him how worthwhile a good fuck could be after all. His opening words were amusing, both in the drunken slurring and the content - she certainly wouldn't have expected Caelia of all wolves to follow along to an orgy, and her grin grew in silent laughter. Only for the expression to slip, then fade abruptly into blankness as his words stumbled into silence. The ends of her toes and ears felt tingly in a less than pleasant way, and her stomach dropped. "You don't love me, Domari," she told him, as gently as she could manage. Fuck. He was so drunk he had no idea what he was saying. Better keep him thinking straight before he said something he would really regret tomorrow, the poor naive bastard. Mixing up love and lust was a definite noob mistake, but he'd figure it out if it was just explained calmly to him. Calmly, and verh stubbornly refusing to acknowledge the little flutters of panic in her chest. Nah man, all good, not a problem here.

Oblivious to Justice's discomfort he sat down heavily. The world was spinning and he was having trouble focusing on what he was doing but he caught what she said. His brow furrowed in confusion. Had he said the wrong words? Had he said he did not love her? "Waitwait…I..do..love you. Like do. Not like do not." He stopped, eyes staring blankly ahead for a moment as he tried to run the words that left his mouth through his brain again to make sure they were right. Yea, he totally had this. He grinned broadly at her and nodded his head. Wait, what was he talking about again? Thoughts tumbled around as the dizziness increased and for a moment he felt like he was going to be sick. Aw, no, do not puke in front of the lady! He swallowed sharply, trying to regain his composure before he looked at her expectantly though as he stared he wasn't quite sure what he was waiting for. Some part of the back of his brain was screaming at him but he couldn't figure out why. "Speech" |
