The silver woman trudged, beyond the borders, skirting well clear of the Ashen borders and down to the west. She now had a solid grasp of what lay to the east of Armada lands, but the west was still a mystery to her, and if she couldn’t sleep anyway, well, now was as good a time as any. The half moon sat high in the sky by the time she escaped the swamps and came out on the glittering shore. Otis slid down her flank, finally finding the ground, beady eyes lit up in interest as he scooped up the black sand and watched it glitter through his paws in the moonlight. The Archer-Lyall spared herself a smirk, and rolled her shoulders to loosen them after carrying the opossum through the worst of the quagmire. This place wasn’t dissimilar to the Armada’s training grounds, except that the sand was black, and crunched underfoot in a way that was foreign to the sometimes squeakiness of the beach sand. It was a shame there was nobody nearby to tussle with. Maybe it would help her sleep.

Siren was gone. She was gone and Chimera was beyond livid. He wanted to kill something. He wanted to hurt something. Venom had been first on his list, but his sisters skill far outweighed his own. He couldn't attack her yet, so he hoped that he could find someone else. Why she felt that she had the right to give away his things was beyond the two-toned boy. His teeth itched to sink into flesh. The night was dark within the trees, but when he came out on the beach, the world lit up. The partial moon up above reflected off of the sand under foot. Interesting, but he was far too angry to be impressed. The boy's pink eye lit upon the form of a woman and her rodent on the beach. There was his target. An outlet for his pent up rage and frustration. Chimera, though young, was quite large, as were all dires. Lips pulled back to flash curved killing fangs before he took off across the dark sand. Due to being primarily nocturnal, Chimera had a better sense of moving at night than most. That didn't mean that he could see in the dark. It simply meant that he could navigate and anticipate the darkness more easily. A good thing too. As he neared the woman, a guttural snarl ripped from the boy. Up above, a cloud drifted over the chunk of moon, plummeting them into darkness. WC-241 Total- 425 "Snarl" |

Paws running across the sand were hushed, and had it not been for the guttural snarl or Otis’s angry shriek of warning, she might not have instinctively braced herself. As it was, the collision coincided with a cloud passing over the moon, and a sudden weight was upon her. Sedna was no stranger to the night either, but her lack of sleep slowed her reactions, despite the adrenalin coursing through her veins. Eyes squinted reflexively, if only to protect her eyes and ears pinned flat against her skull. She allowed the momentum to move her, head swinging reflexively, teeth unsheathed, snapping to pull at whatever she could grab a hold of. Her ears were useless at this range but her nose told her more than her eyes ever could have. Ashen. Was there a chance he just didn’t recognise her as an Armada wolf? Now was not the time to think. If she survived, she could contemplate later.

She bit him. The bitch actually bit him. Unbridled rage surged through the boy. His vision ran white hot with it. He had limited vision anyway, so when he was this pissed off, he could barely see a thing. The woman had her teeth locked into his shoulder and his first instinct was to rip his shoulder free. Placing his paws against his opponent, Chimera pushed. He felt his skin tear, but the adrenaline coursing through him dulled the pain to a low throb. He could still feel the wetness of blood, however. This only served to infuriate him more. His vision blurred, his eyes feeling as though they were vibrating. With a pace between them, Chimera began to circle his prey. He paid no mind to the little rodent nearby. It's bones would be crushed like dust if it tried anything. Like a two-toned shark, Chimera continued his clock-wise creep. He inspected the woman, not only searching for the perfect opening, but working on making her nervous with anticipation as well. There. Giant paws dug into the sand as the black and white youngling dove forward. He aimed to slam his chest hard into the woman in the hopes of sending her crashing to the ground. Not once did his sense of smell register that she was an Armada wolf and, honestly, that was very, very good for her. WC-230 Total- 813 "Snarl" |

If only that fucking cloud would shift... Not that it would help her much. Silver eyes may have run in her family, but it was also well known that those who had them, had worse vision than the ones that did not, day or night, and so she had always had to compensate with her other senses. Still, any advantage would help.
Sedna finally found purchase in what she could only assume was a shoulder, and she tried to hold on for dear life. In a usual spar, she would hold tight, and try not to break the skin, but under the circumstances... The Archer-Lyall held on for dear life, and then some, whipping her head as the paw pushed into her shoulder to pull away, the satisfying taste of blood on her lips. Being at a size disadvantage was still new to her, this was more like fighting a young bear, but faster and with no way to know what had set it off.
With distance now between them, she tried to catch her breath, sides heaving in the dark as she mentally took note of the few small scrapes she had collected so far. The Archer-Lyall could see a shadow circling, and did her best to keep eyes on it. It was hard enough in the night time greyscape, was he black? Or white? Or maybe even shades of grey like her? It was impossible to tell. Not that a description would matter if she didn’t make it out of here alive.
The crunch of sand gave his charge away, she dipped, hoping to come up from underneath and land teeth in the larger wolfs neck or throat, but she misjudged and the burning sear of a tooth dragging past her eye was all the warning she had. Her only option as the weight collided with her front on was to open her paws out wide and hang on for all she was worth. Her rear legs jarred, even as they slid through the sand. She refused to die like this! Opting instead to strike out blindly in the dark for all she was worth.

He hated everyone and everything. At eight or nine months old, he shouldn't be so filled with complete and utter disdain for the general populous. What Venom did though... it sent him over the edge. Something in the boys mind had snapped. Why did Venom give Siren away? Why did she think she had the right to send his things elsewhere without his permission? It was wrong and now whoever this was would pay the price. As his teeth grazed her face and he smelled her blood a shudder ran through the young wolf. He wanted blood. He wanted her to die. He wanted them all to die. Every single worthless pig dog from both the Armada and Ashen itself should wither and die. Chimera slammed into her and she wrapped her limbs about him to try and keep from sliding, he assumed. The boy used that momentum, curling his body to the side with his own limbs coming upward to wrap back in an attempt to throw her to the ground. He could feel the burning in his shoulder now and it was annoying. He wanted to give the woman one more thing to remember him by. The two-toned giant flashed his jaws outward like a snake, aiming to sink his teeth into her shoulder much as she had done to him. Next he would go for her throat. He was going to kill her. He was going to litter this beach with her body parts and soak it with her blood. He still wouldn't feel better, he knew, but... this was where his path had led him. The tiniest sliver of moonlight flashed as the woman's eyes were closed. It served to break Chimera from the dark, dreamlike state that he was in. For a moment he remembered his position. He remembered that his sister was gone and he remembered the pain that came with her departure. Sadness struck now and, without warning, Chimera took off down the beach, huge paws pounding in the sand. As he ran, there were tears in his eyes. He was injured and there would be no one to help him. No one to heal his wounds and make him feel better. Fuck... he missed Siren. WC-373 Total- 1543 "Snarl" |

She should have been careful what she wished for. The thought forced a bitter hollow laugh from the Archer-Lyall’s chest as teeth sunk into her shoulder, the subtle shift of muscles hinting at the want to travel and close on her throat. She was stubborn, but the other wolf was heavy and large and she was over-exhausted and maybe even verging on nihilistic. The melancholy of the dark sand and the moon hiding behind a cloud, somehow seemingly hinting at a fitting end for an Archer... especially given her namesake. The tide could carry what was left of her out to the salt water, her lifeless parts being consumed by and turning into creatures of the sea.
Wouldn’t Mother be proud? That alone was enough to reignite the fire in her belly.
With determination, she clenched her teeth, gathered her muscles to at least make one last good show of it, but before she could rally, the weight and pressure were gone. The moon made itself known again, peeking out from behind its cloudy curtain and her gaze fell on a retreating shadow. Sedna’s paws planted, spread in the sand and her jaws gaped, panting to catch her breath, heart thundering in her ears. Otis raced over and started pawing at her shoulder and muzzle, a low growl offered to nobody in particular as she stared after the stranger. What the fuck was that about? Her good eye narrowed in a squint, scowl painted on her bloody maw. "Sirius is gonna be so pissed Otie." Her whisper betrayed her exhaustion, but she knew better than to delay their return at all. "Up yer get." They’d move faster if she carried him at least part of the way.
