Eir walked through this new land,a land she went through under the mantle of the night, the place was beautiful as the moon rested high in the skies, bathing the land under it in silver lights, crickets sang and the stars dotted the darkness. The young warrior stood there in the cliff, standing just some inches from the fall, from the abyss, but of course, she wasnt going to throw herself. Eir never had such trashy thoughts, those some had of killing themselves,of giving up in life. She considered that an act of cowardice, life was to make one strong,to make one tough, and dying just because of losing hope was just escaping the adversities. Eyes of cyan rested on the view she could see from there, from the height. She then sat down with a cold expression and just wanting to have peace with only the moon and the stars as her only company. At the end, she just watched and closed her eyes to feel the silence,to feel the peace the night was giving her,all was great now. There she wondered what to do next, what one could do under the night, she was far from Lirim but just for cleaning her mind and having some time alone. Now that she though on it,she had never fought in the night, that should be a good thing to learn. WC- 223 "Speak" |

The moon was really bright out as Askan followed the trail of a vaguely familiar scent. It didn't stand out strongly in his mind so it he knew it wasn't someone he'd spent a lot of time with nor did he really care but...In all honesty boredom had got the better of him and at that moment he didn't really have anything else to do. If he found the owner of the scent then great, his itch would be scratched, but if not it was no skin off his nose. And so he wandered, following the scent in a lazy trot till he approached a looming cliff that overlooked the ocean.
Up here the light of the moon seemed all the more intense, bathing the grass in a whitey glow as he slowed to a walk and scanned his surroundings. It took him a moment to spot her since her lower half was swathed in black but when he did it took his mind a moment for the recognition to click into place. They'd met before in a cave, taking shelter from the rain but...Try as he might he just couldn't remember her name. She hadn't been overly talkative and hadn't left much of a lasting impression either, if he was being brutally honest. But whatever, he was sure she probably felt the same way.
"Up for a spar?" He asked, as if that was a normal thing to say to a relative stranger.

Eir took a deep breath, filling her lungs with the night's scents and she was just feeling well. Eyes of cyan lingered in the moon before her, watching how beautiful it was and there she wondered how her family was right now, those she left behind in order to find her own destiny. But knowing the hard life they had,she couldn't expect too much besides, who knows when if she would ever see them again at some point at all. They could pretty much be dead, and yes it sounded crude but that was just the reality and for Eir it was dumb to ignore it. Hours passed and she decided it was time to come back to Lirim, her home. But as she turned she saw a familiar face,a male she saw a long ago. She barely remembered his name, Askan was it? Well, she decided not put too much thought on that. "Askan," She repeated the name to see if she was correct in her memories. The male didnt say anything besides inviting her to have a spar that sounded fine for the bi-colored female. "Sure, who should start, you or me?" She always asked this to give her opponents the opportunity to start, though this was only done for spars if there was a more serious fight she wouldn't. She set her defenses as soon as she said that. Eir Ragnarok vs Askan for Spar Round 0/3? Age: +1 Size: Large Build: Heavy Skills: Expert Fighter & Beginner Navigator Specialty: N/A "Speak" |

"I'll go." Askan said, stepping forward as he loosned up his gait, ready to spring into action. He found it a little odd that the woman posed such a question, she ought to have initated the fight since she'd accepted his request but whatever, he wasn't that pedantic. "Ready yourself." He warned as he rolled his shoulders, spar or not he wasn't going to pull his punches.
His hackles raised as he rushed forward, teeth glinting in the moonlight. Had it not been so clear out that night he would have likely had trouble spotting her, since a large portion of her form was dark as well. But the full moon acted like a stage light, shining down upon the scene and granting Askan a clear view of his adversary. Her form was pretty good, tight and defensive, ready to react at a moments notice. But she'd made an mistake in allowing Askan to move first, she'd given him time to observe her posture and defences and he intended to use that information against her. He pushed on, drawing close as though he intended to begin with an upfront attack, only to dart off to the left at the last second, his jaws outstretched as he intended to grab a hold of her shoulder.

Eir setted her defenses, ready to take on whatever the male could come up with. She always wanted to give the chance to decide just out of courtesy but it seemed no one appreciated that. Well not like she cared, next time she wasn't going to give that choice. And there she focused on her opponent who soon went up to the attack, and he was quick to turn to her and attempt to grab her shoulders. Rapidly the Armigeri would try to turn so instead of her shoulder her chest would be on the way against his jaws, simultaneously she would then aim to push herself forward hard to try making his bite hurt with the impact, and soon as she though she made it,she would attempt to bite on the left side of his head, between his ear and his eye, making sure she wasn't going to harm it. The pair weaved and darted around one another, testing one another's defences as their shadows did the same. Long and stretched out on the grass like separate entities with their own thoughts and actions. Their fighting styles were quite different, Askan tended to brute force his way through, to be direct in his words and actions. But Eir was swift and certain, her movements like a dancers. But this time instead of darting away she changed direction, switching things up so that even if Askan's hit landed he'd end up donking himself on the nose in the process. Clever. He'd never thought of shifting like that in a fight, turning his enemies strength against them. Very clever indeed.
Well two could play at that game. She went to grab at him and he ducked beneath her grasp, easily managed since he was already a few inches shorter than her. He wasn't quite as fast on his feet, his legs too short and stocky, but he put some real kick into it as he went to ram his head into her ribs. Like the mountain goats that used to clamber around his homeland. It was hardly a standard attack, more risky than it was worth but it was a sharp impulse he hadn't been able to resist. And for added bonus he doubted it was something she'd be able to see coming either, and surely that was half of the battle. Of taking his opponent by surprise and hitting them hard where they least expected it. He hadn't really been paying attention-and really should have- but the pair were slowly inching closer to the cliffs edge. With one misstep they'd be sent tumbling down into the waves below, the sort of fall a wolf couldn't possibly survive.

Eir's intention worked in a way as she managed to use his own attack against himself. She may wasnt the strongest fighter out there but she compensated it with strategy and it seemed today it was working. But not at all as Askan turned and like a ram he slammed his head against her side which made her almost lose her balance, and the zone of the impact felt a bit sore but nothing to worry. Quickly she focused again, keeping her eyes on him. She was aware of the cliff and the abys not so far from her feet. They needed to be careful or else they could end up under the sea. Slowly she looked at him and without warning, she darted forward, head to head first but then hopping to reach at a 5feet distance would turn to her right and would attempt to slam her left shoulder against his right. If she was successful she would in a simultaneous manner attempt to wrap her legs around his shoulders and cast a bite on his scruff. Firm but not too hard. This was for practice and she didn't have reasons to cause injuries, just some discomfort on the male. Unlike previous fights, this was more entertaining and dynamic. As she was exploring her own skills to make this a good one not only for her but for the male as well. wc/ 231 Totall/ 1560w "Speak" |
