Bait was a fine hunter. He had great timing in jumping up to land on the unsuspecting of fleeing prey. Nothing could escape him! Admittedly the red fox always felt this to be true however, right now when he had drunk just a bit too much he felt it all the more true.

Mice and rats were out of the picture. Today he was taking in a flock of seagulls. Now, it was true that they could fly and he could not. It was likewise true for some reason the ground seemed to collapse under him more than it use to, but that was surely just how the sand worked here and had nothing to do with his sense of balance after a bit too much to drink. So he was drinking a portion designed for a wolf and he was a bit smaller. None of this was a concern.

So there the red fox was charging a group of seagulls, his floofy tail up high and proud as he launched himself at a flock of seagulls that easily took to the air after his clumsy attempt. Since when could a gaggling of birds stand up to the power of Bait? He charged in for a new attack and once more they flew up. A third time and this round two of the seagulls hovered and screamed back, a third tried to dive on the fox.

Bait lunged up, got a seagull in his mouth, got hit by a seagull bill, and let go in surprise falling with an ‘oof’ on the funny black sand grains. Funny how this was harder after drinking just a tad.

.The summer was the perfect time for the snake to become active. Yet it was also time for him to eat - he hadn't eaten since fall other than a few snacks of fish here and there. He wanted to find a good bird, or even snake if he could. Then he wouldn't neccesarily have to eat until next season. What the Cobra came across though was a funny looking Fox. Surely there was something wrong with the creature. It took Koby a second to realize that he was drinking a fermented drink, a chuckle escaped his snakey throat as he made sure to crawl up to a higher height so that he could be seen. Slinking forward after the fox's failure he stayed a few feet away just in case.

"Being drunk ssure doesss make it hard to hunt doessn't it?" Koby stated he looked at the fox with his best attempt at a smile. His unblinking eyes staring the small creature down. Wolves were in awe of him so he only wondered what a fox would do - not that he hadn't come across their kind before. Many had been enamored by his fortunes, many had loathed him for it too. They were an interest species to say the least.

Bait watched his quarry fly off again, and where they landed only a short distance away. The birds were outright mocking him, well he’d catch all of em and play a game of feather collecting. How much of the beach would be covered with feathers if he plucked them all?
He was just planning to go again when he heard the snake. When had it arrived? No one could get past Bait’s senses! Ok, maybe they were a tad out-of-whack. That drink was excellent and was great for a fun time but seemed to have some effect on his senses.

Bait cocked his head to one side considering the creature. Pretty damn good length there. It could be intimidating to have a snake that large near him. Did that thing eat something his size? Quite possibly. Oh well, Bait was both drunk and never much of one to be bothered with minor details such as dangerous encounters.

“yah, but ya know. One of these might b’ drunk also. Jus gotta figure out..” Bait slowed his talking then grinned broadly, “that’s it! Just gotta share the drink with the birds. Bet easier to hunt if the birdz drunk too!” Bait grinned at the snake he’d never before met as if they’d always been great friends, “Whatcha thin’?”

Koby couldn't help but to chuckle at the creature. Perhaps the cobra could be his designated baby sitter for the time being. Not wary to any danger the snake would hate for the enthusastic creature to get hurt while trying to have a bit of fun. Koby stared at the birds, something about seeing the animals drunk fascinated him. How would they react, would it kill them? He looked at the fox, "Sssoundss like a brilliant idea. How can I help?" the cobra would slither around the feathers perhaps he could collect a few himself and make something of them now that would be an adventure.

"My name isss Koby, it'ss a pleasssure to meet you." the soft flick of his tail and the flittering of his tongue out of his mouth the snake could smell the concotion. He'd never been one to enjoy fermented drinks. Though the effects he had seen on others was entertaining but also scary. Too much of it could easily kill a creature the poison that it created was something Koby was also familiar with although he was no healer and did not know how to cure such an ailment. However, he'd be sure to keep an eye on the fox for this.
