Wyndelin stalked quietly after Halla as they tracked the injured bison. In his mind it was more of an exercise in tracking. He didn't expect them to engage in an active hunt after the bison unless the injury was significant enough to render the bison very weak. Accidentally getting stepped on could be fatal. He settled down next to Halla, following her gaze as the smell of blood and illness met his nostrils. He looked at her then back at the bison. He saw the target but was it really wise to try and hunt this creature? True, it was injured but Wyndelin was skeptical the wound was serious enough to warrant a try. "Talk" |

Aslaug came in with the intention of finding some practice, now that she held an official rank she knew she would now have to work harder, and maybe now others rely on her and her responsibilities. And there wasnt any better way to keep herself tone that a hunt of a name. And the praise was the best place she could think of to find anything really. But what she found were two familiar faces, both wolves she had met in the past. And it seemed they were focused on bison and one who smelled like it had an infected wound. Perfect, but will the three of them get it? She approached in silence to them. "What's the plan?" She asked ready to give her paw to it. |

Nolan wasn't sure what he'd find when he came out to the prairie, but he knew it was a great spot to do some hunting so he figured he'd probably find something to bring back with him. There was some very obvious scents of all kinds of prey around here as he quietly moved through the grasses, but what actually pulled his attention was the scent of his cousin. Maybe Aslaug had the same idea he did! It was always better to hunt with a parter than it was to hunt alone away so he started to head in her direction, but he very quickly realized that she wasn't actually alone. Just before he found the group, he noticed that Wyndelin and Halla were there as well - the pair that he had hunted a moose with along with Cairo. Even better! He crept up beside the trio, giving them all a friendly grin. A quick scan of the land in front of them told him that they had their sights set on an injured bison and he was definitely more than ready to get in on this hunt. He gave them a nod and waited for one of them to take the lead. |

Wyndelin smiled as he saw the familiar faces of Aslaug and Nolan. Excellent, now they had a real hunting party! He looked to Halla as she laid out the hunting plan. He nodded, that worked for him. He looked to Halla then the herd and started slinking forward. He wanted to get closer before he startled the bison and got them running. He moved slowly at first but then as he got close he sprang forward and charged toward the bison herd his tail waving high like a flag to alert the others where he was in the tall grass. He zeroed in on the injured bull and started cutting through the herd as he shot toward the target. "Talk" |

Asla was happy to see her cousin was on their team! And she was even happier as she will hunt with familiar faces all wolves she had met in a past encounter.Focusing to Halla's plan she nodded as she considered her options. She could help chasing the herd to win their target. So nodding she was ready to beggin.Follwing Winderling's actions herself bagan slow, just walking toward the herd but hopping no to scare them just yet but then her partner began to run forward, quickly Aslaug did the same running as fast as she could toward the bison who soon began to run away, and like that the chase had begun. |

The plan was simple and easy and Nolan certainly couldn't complain about a plan that was simple and easy! He nodded in agreement to Halla before turning his attention to the rest of their hunting party to figure out where he could best assist them. Wyndelin lead the way, stalking off toward the bison and creeping through the grass with Aslaug close behind. He followed suit as well, letting them all get as close as possible before they finally launched into their hunt. Since Wyndelin and Aslaug set upon the injured bull, he focused his attention on the rest of the herd. He drove them forward with snarls and barks, pushing them farther away and creating more distance between the bison they had their sights set on and the rest of the herd. He made sure not to get too far out from the one they were hunting so that when the time was right he could turn back and help with the final take down, but he also made sure to chase off any of the bison that tried to hang back and help their herd member. |

Wyndelin kept on the old bull's heels, snapping and snarling to keep the pressure on it. He could see the bison's chest heaving, snot and spit flying as it tried to push itself to keep up but eventually it was cut off. Wyndelin moved up alongside the bison. Taking aim he latched onto its throat, just underneath the jaw line and bit down hard. He wrapped his forearms around the front of the bison's neck. His weight dragged the animal's head to the earth and causing it to stumble to a slow pace. The bison shook its head but Wyndelin managed to hang on, hoping the other wolves would arrive soon and pull the bison to a complete stop. He wasn't sure how long he could hang on. "Talk" |

Aslaug tried her best to keep up with the chase, as after all that was what her rank within the pack meant. To be the one to chase and do so until the target was winded. And that was what she wanted to do now. Eyes locked into the injured bull, making sure she wasn't interfering with the other hunters and calmly she raced forward attempting to close the distance between her and the prey aiming to get herself on its left parallel to Halla’s side and just as the older wolf did she hopped to snap on the bison’s front leg aiming to do so hard and trashing her head.

Once he was certain that the rest of the herd was driven off, he turned his attention back to the bison and saw that Wyndelin had gotten it by the neck and had slowed it down considerably. He rushed forward to help and hopped up to latch onto one of the bison's horns. With the two male's combined body weights and Aslaug's pulling at its leg they were able to pull its head to the ground and soon the rest of its body followed. The bull fell to the ground with a hard thud and he let go of the horn so he could shift his attention to the bison's legs instead. He grabbed the front leg opposite from his cousin just to hold tight and make sure that which ever wolf went for the final kill didn't get kicked in the process. It had been a quick and fairly easy hunt and he was glad that he had such capable hunters with him to do it.
