Aslaug wished to try a new hunting ground, she wanted to test whatever she could to be better, to be more versatile with her prey. Now that she carried on a rank, she wanted to do her best to fulfill her tasks and more if she was allowed to, and she guessed that a good hunter would go for whatever they could, big or small all mattered. And like that the girl headed to a nearby land to Valhalla’s now finding herself in a desertic and dry land. Completely new to what she had ever seen, but well a new place always represented new opportunities and mysteries to get to know, and learning something new was something Aslaug loved to do besides hunting. And as she walked her blue eyes were alert for anything, ready to find any prey she could hunt but since she was by herself she needed to choose something easy and hopefully good enough. But then as she walked there is a small rock she found a lizard resting on top of it, and it wasn't the only one as many more were in the adjacent stones all taking a sunbath. Well, she had never tried on reptiles so maybe this called her to give it the first shot, but how to get them? WC- 220 "Speak"

"Beat Destruction" Having been traveling quite a bit lately, Beat was trying to learn the world that he lived in. He'd traveled before, but he'd never really paid attention. His nose had always been to the ground. He'd been a shell of a wolf. Now that he was alive again, he intended to retrace his steps and see all of the things that he'd missed. So far he'd met a pretty woman that made his heart stop. He'd met a lovely and fierce young woman that hunted like no other. He'd made friends with a wolf named Star and a pup named Ulfr. His skills in hunting were advancing. Everything was looking up for the young man. A scent drifted his way as he moved towards the desert. A scent that he knew, but couldn't quite place. It wasn't until he saw the form of the girl ahead that the scent clicked in his mind. "Aslaug!" Beat called out as he moved towards the earthen girl. They'd met before and had hunted together. Maybe she would want to spend some time with him today? As Beat came in close, he noted the plethora of lizards basking on the various stone surfaces. Some scattered as he moved too close. It was interesting, to say the least. The young man didn't have much experience with lizards, but it looked as though he might be getting some. Looking to the girl, the black and white lad smiled. "Want to try hunting some lizards? I don't know if we can eat them, but the might be fun to catch." His head tilted slightly as he waited for her to reply. He hoped she'd like the idea.

Aslaug’s eyes were highly stuck in the little shapes that made up the lizard’s figures. She couldn’t give an exact number of how many there were but it was a huge number of them. so many to pick up a target. Maybe the closest one? But she didn’t know how fast they were, and as they were smaller than anything she had ever hunted before, she didn’t have a big range of space to bite. Maybe she could squeeze one with her paws? But did she really wanted to kill them? Would it be worth to eat something this small? But before she set the plan in stone, a familiar voice joined into the former silence of the place. It was someone she met a few months ago, Beat was his names or that was what her mind wrote as she saw him. “Beat? Hi!” She greeted in a joyful way as she looked at him with the happiness of seeing a familiar face she hasn’t seen in a while. “How are you?” She asked returning her gaze to the prey she wanted to catch today. "Want to try hunting some lizards? I don't know if we can eat them, but the might be fun to catch." “Sure! I was actually thinking about hunting some! But do you know how we can catch them?” wc- 224 =724/1500 "Speak"

"Beat Destruction" The boy, now a young man, really, smiled at Aslaug as she remembered him and asked after his well being. "I'm doing well. Better than well, really." The young wolf, fresh with a sense of impending adulthood, noticed Aslaug in a different light. She was... prettier than he remembered. Her golden coat covered in striped was striking in the desert lighting. It left a funny feeling in Beat's belly, but he ignored it. Their attention turned to lizards. She wanted to hunt them as well and asked him how. "Uhh..." He tilted his head, looking at the plethora of lizards sunning themselves on rocks out there. "I suppose we could hunt them like we hunt anything else? Each of us come in from a different side. Hem them in. Catch them." Hopefully it would work. If it didn't, they'd have to try something else. "What do you think? Any ideas?" As he waited, the black and white brute began moving slowly towards one of the lizards. He couldn't even get close before it darted away beneath the rocks. "Damn. They're fast!"

Her smile became brighter as he said he was fine, and she couldn’t help but feel glad he was. Even though they have only spoken once, she considered him her friend, and as such, she was happy that he was happy nothing else. “I am glad everything is going right for you! And I hope that’s kept up always!” She said happily before focusing again on this unusual hunt. “I suppose we could hunt them like we hunt anything else? Each of us come in from a different side. Hem them in. Catch them." “We could definitely try that!” Like that trying to be as silent as she could she approached by the opposite side of Beat’s, focusing on a group that rested on a rock. "Damn. They're fast!" She nodded, they were very fast, way faster than any other prey she had tried to hunt before. “Maybe I can drive this group to you and try to catch as many as you can?” She kept approaching and then she began to run forward aiming to drive some to her friend. wc- 181 / 1.086/1500 "Speak"

"Beat Destruction" Beat would try whatever Aslaug wanted to try. Not even two and he was already allowing himself to be pushed around by pretty girls. Did that have to do with not having a real father figure in his life? Maybe. It most likely had to do with the fact that, at his core, Beat was a very sweet boy. He appreciated the opposite sex quite a bit. The older he got, the more he noticed just how pretty women could be. Every tilt of the head, pretty little blink. Every time the sunlight caught their golden fur. Wait.. all women. Not just Aslaug. If the shoe fit though... Beat maneuvered himself on the other side of the sunning lizards where he crouched, ready to catch as many as he could manage. When Aslaug moved to run the scaley creatures towards him, the black and white wolf pounced. His paws barely missed one, another snaked just out of reach. One he managed to catch in his mouth by the tail. He held it gently between his teeth and stood up, only to realize that the squirming thing in his mouth was only a tail. The lizard had detached its tail! Yipping in alarm, Beat spat out the squirming tail and leaped backwards. In his leap, he landed on one of the lizards that wasn't as fast as the rest. The little things back snapped beneath the canines weight and it quickly died. Beat didn't realize at first that he'd 'caught' a lizard. Only when he caught his breath and looked around for more did he notice. "Well..." he said with a frown, lifting the dead lizard and extending his paw towards the striped lady with him. "I... guess we caught one?" Frown still on his face, he looked around for more lizards. He hadn't mean to kil this one. Maybe he could catch a live one? Then the thought of the squirming tail in his mouth made his stomach turn and he shook his head. This was as good as it got.

As she ran the lizards darted to anywhere around but she managed to drive some toward Beat who was waiting there as they planned. With eyes of blue landing on the small reptiles, soon Beat took one between his jaws but from there only the tail poked out of his maw. It seemed the lizard detached its tail. That was something she had never seen in a prey animal and of course, it brought her attention to it. “Wow, that’s neat don't you think?!” She inquired as she sat down panting a bit, the place was a bit hot and the sun heavy. “We did well! Thank you!” She said happily as she attempted to give him a slight hug, but not with any intentions besides thanking him. And as soon as she started she ended the embrace. Love and such matters were new to the girl, as she had never felt any interest or not that she had ever noticed. "Speak" wc- 161/1588

"Beat Destruction" Aslaug came forward and Beat smiled. He hadn't expected her to hug him, but he wasn't complaining. As the girl embraced him, heat filled his cheeks and his jaw dropped a little. He fought to regain his composure and pretty much did so by the time she pulled back. Perhaps he was a little too animated when he answered, but it was just out of nervousness. Girls made him so damn nervous! "Haha, yeah. We did great! We sure showed those lizards." He looked down to the dead lizard in his hand and the tail laying a little ways off. "Or at least we kind of showed two of them..." The sun was beating down hard from above and the back half of Beat was roasting, as was his face. The young man glanced up towards the fire in the sky. "Maybe we should find some shade. I think I've had enough of lizards and the sun for one day." He really felt a need to go swimming after all of this. It would feel so nice to soak himself then let the summer sun dry him. But not this nasty desert sun. No thank you.
