Dust in the Wind
Ramiel had never let on what he'd been through the previous winter. What he'd done in his absence from Judas. It seemed his brother had been having his own fun. Instead, he kept up a facade that nothing life changing had happened during their time apart.
It was time that the dark Archer took a few minutes to let his facade down. It was tiring pretending all the time. He'd only just returned to the Dell when they'd had to go back out chasing after Scully, Avella, and Clouse though he couldn't really blame them for their escape.
His dark figure stepped out onto the mostly flat expanse before him. He hadn't gone far from his companions but he needed a moment to let his mind wander. His muzzle raised to the air and his chest heaved with the deep breath he took. "Wish you were here," he whispered to the wind.
Hanako didn't patrol the borders that much, it wasn't really her thing and she tried to shy away from manual labour as much as she could. That being said, when Ruri told her that someone was standing about outside the border she couldn't help but feel a prickle of curiosity. Her magpie didn't make it sound urgent or that the stranger was up to no good, but the Wraith knew how the others could be. Bark first and ask questions later. Moving at a dainty trot, Hanako made her way towards the border till the newcomer was in sight. He was tall and dark, just an inch shorter but still stockier then Hanako by a wide margin.
She came to a standstill, her paws resting firmly on Armada territory as she waved her tail in a friendly greeting. A happy side to side swish that naturally suited her friendly disposition. Just Hanako things.
"Heya." She greeted, as chipper as ever. "How's it going?" Which was her more informal way of asking if everything was alright on his end, if she had to put a word to it he looked a little wistful. Like something weighed heavy on his mind.
Now that she could walk again, Aslatiel began running border patrols once more. The lean, cream and grey lady felt the strain of her former injury, but she didn't let it keep her down. She had to get strong again. Her aunt had said that there was a chance of a limp for the rest of her life, but she was determined to not let that happen. A limp would look like weakness and Asla simply wouldn't have it. Plus if she was out running borders she wouldn't risk running into her parents disgusting second litter. She couldn't deal with that bullshit again. Tall, grey ears swiveled forward as a scent wafted towards the young woman. Ah, so it looked like today wouldn't be just another boring walk around the territories. The striped fae's galaxy gaze landed upon the form of a dark man. Ohh... even more interesting. My my, wasn't he deep in thought. His words drifted towards her on the wind just as his scent had but she ignored them. The thought wasn't for her so there was no point in commenting on it. The proximity to pack lands... that, she would comment on. Unfortunately, Hanako beat her to the punch. Why in the hell was she out her and not sitting on some pillow like the useless chit that she was? With a snort at her own amusement, Aslatiel took a step ahead of the walking sushi. "I'd be careful if I were you," she spoke in her typical sultry tones. "A few more minutes of distraction and you might have crossed over into Armada lands. We'd hate to ruin your day." A grin tugged at the corners of her maw, pristine whites flashing. "Good thing I was here to save you." There was humor in her dainty features, but the words were quite real. Had another found her, maybe Azure or her father, the situation might have been quite different. "Speech" |
What flashed through his mind next brought his eyes closed as he bowed his head. A huff escaped through his nostrils. He stood there for a moment as the memory finished.
His ears slanted backwards and his eyes snapped open when he heard someone approaching from behind him. An annoyed expression crossed his features but was gone a split second later as he turned. Plastered across his face was a charming smile
There stood a woman waving her tail in a friendly manner and before he could return a greeting another showed up. Funny how it would be two women to appear. "Well hello ladies what a pleasure it is to find myself in your presence," he said laying it on thick. The facade back in place, a gift really. To add to it all he offered them each a very pronounced dip of his head.
His silver gaze met with the first woman's as he spoke, "It goes," he replied in answer to her question before letting his gaze slid to the other. "Its a good job indeed that you were able to save me from myself." He took quick note of the way the two women stood, something he'd seen before. The scent that was strong in the air. He'd missed it before because of where his thoughts had been, she always could cause him to forget himself.
He'd stumbled across a pack of all things, leave it to him. Well it wasn't quite time for that sort of thing was it. "Your Armada has settled on quite the place I just couldn't resist taking a moment to admire it." He kept the same tone as before. "And now such lovely ladies shouldn't leave a man waiting may I have the pleasure of your names?"

The Warlord wasn’t far behind Hanako and Asla in spotting the intruder. With his youngest children just starting to really get into exploring, his protective instincts (which were always a bit dramatic) were in overdrive. Oftentimes the reminder of his children set the man into an unusually sunny deposition, but intruders did not sit well with the possessive beast, and flirtation from others with wolves that were his own was barely ever tolerated. He approached just in time to hear the last of the man’s speech. With his pretty words on the Armada, and his sickeningly coy greeting to his daughter and Wraith.
The Warlord’s frown grew heavier as he continued forward, stepping over the border and into the personal space of the almost-intruder. “You overstep yourself.” If not physically, then certainly in speech. The overprotective wolf’s voice was heavy with sarcasm and warning. He itched with the desire to fight. He hadn’t had a good match in too long - not that this short cocky youngster would provide one. “I am Sirius Fatalis, Warlord of the Ashen Armada. Who are you?” he rolled in enough of his naturally prickly nature to cut and change his greeting into something almost malleable, despite his instant dislike of the man. Perhaps he wasn't a total lost cause when it came to diplomacy. Only mostly so.

Something seemed to have caught everyone’s attention. Even Sirius was going to check it out, and while the girl knew that three wolves could handle it together there was something else layered under the overpowering scent of Armada wolves that tugged her closer. Of course, the dark coated loner could have been anyone, but that cocky carriage and the tease on his lips really narrowed it down. She couldn’t contain the waving of her tail, but she knew if she charged in with a typical greeting, shit would probably go down that she never intended. While Archers (well, Morganna’s kids anyway) were known for their rough and tumble greetings, if she just barged onto the scene they might think her actually out for blood. Instead she lowered her head respectfully as she came alongside Sirius, whole back end shaking with the force of her waving tail, a play bow towards Ramiel to try and break some of the tension, her excitement sending her hopping from one front paw to the other as she stood back up again.
"Rami! What’er’yer’doin’ere?!". Her words ran together in her excitement.
"speech".
Hanako knew the borders were well guarded, so she wasn't all that surprised when Aslatiel found her way onto the scene, swiftly followed by her father. Whilst the stranger was quick to turn on the charm Hanako didn't really mind it or take offence, she was the sort of girl who grabbed a hold of any and all compliments she received. Earned or not. She'd been about to shoot back some chipper remark but Sirius didn't seem all that pleased and instead the Wraith tilted her head a little as though to say what gives? Hanako-whilst she appreciated the sentiment- didn't see why Sirius had to get all mother henny, not over a guy who simply asked for their names. The tension mounted and whilst the other wolves present might have been the sort to wallop one another over a slight misunderstanding Hanako really wasn't, her ears tipped as she searched her mind for words that could smooth things over but was there anything that could chill out not one but two moody Fatalis'? Probably not.
Except that Sedna soon ambled onto the scene, her excitement clear as her words rushed from her maw. Hanako paused, her brows furrowed as she looked from one wolf to the other. As nosey as she was she reckoned that now the big shots were here she could leave them to handle it, though not before brushing her side against Sedna's on her way out. Just cause.
Hanako out!
Sedna burst onto the scene and her recognition of the man was interesting, but not interesting enough to keep her there. Hanako turned to leave and Asla did the same, moving back through the long grass and out of sight. She loved her father, but he was a tried and true murderer when it came to fun.
Well that was until a rather large pushy man showed up and stepped right into Ramiel's space. The Archer internally rolled his eyes at the display. What he wasn't looking for was a fight, especially not with the brute in front of him. Women weren't the only ones Ramiel could sweet talk. He took a step back so that he could offer the warlord as he called himself a deep bow. "My deepest apologies sir I assure you it was not my intention to intrude upon what is yours." The man had explained who he was as if that were supposed to scare him. At the same time he was asked who he was. "Ramiel Archer…" he informed trailing off.
At that moment another wolf joined them leaving the Dark Archer rather confused. He knew this wolf quite well and begged the question of what she was doing with this pack. Any doubts he may have had were set to rest when she called him Rami. "Its good to see you dear cousin. I could ask the same of you." He was curious about why she was there but another time perhaps. He offered Sedna his typical smile to let her know he was genuine. "I've come in search of Avella and Scully," he explained, "Have you seen them Sedna?"
His silver gaze caught the movement of the first woman leaving. This didn't bother the Archer. The second woman also took her leave offering him a 'good luck' to which he nodded in acknowledgement. It seemed the game was over and now it was down to business. Perhaps another time though
