All in the family
It was beyond time her kids learn what it meant to be a Klein, and that the rest of her family meet her children, her contribution to the empire. But there was no way that Samara was going to be able to herd her group of little miscreants by herself, so she'd had to convince Rhyme to come with her... which wasn't really ideal for her. Samara may have mellowed in the last few years but she had no notions that her family would have... this would be a tightrope act. |
Finally they arrived at the Ashen pack, where they would find more of their family. Their dad mentioned lots of family out there, but this was their mom’s extended family. Haiku bounced next to his mother, and wouldn’t be settled even as she gave them a stern warning about behavior. His excitement would manifest as their mother called for the pack and the boy joined his voice to hers.
I have a white raven companion named Prose if she isn't mentioned assume she is nearby
Samara might have mellowed out with age but Ruin certainly had not. As she grew she became all the more cunning, her mischief far more discrete and well thought out, as though she was a criminal playing the long con. With that said, her mother knew her well enough to see the potential storm looming on the horizon and Ruin pretended to be a good little girl as she trotted along by her mother's side, quietly biding her time. Soon enough they arrived at the borders, and Ruin put on a rather convincing show of listening intently, as though she'd turned over a new leaf and was ready to play nice like the rest of her siblings. That'd she be Suspense version 2.0 As if.
"Yes mumma." She agreed and then offered Samara's chin submissive lick or two, as though to subdue any concerns she might have. She knew she'd never be able to completely rid her mother of her lingering suspicions but it was always fun to keep her on her toes nonetheless. That was a game in and of itself.
The trip wasn’t terrible, the children were mostly well behaved. Lucky for them Ruin wasn’t very big so whenever she misbehaved all Rhyme had to do was grab her by the scruff and continue walking. They did finally arrive without any real casualties and after Samara’s pep talk Rhyme lifted himself to his full height and also gave each child a look to back up their mother. The last thing he needed was one of his children to cause chaos with the wrong Ashen wolf.
”Behave, and I promise we’ll have a lot of fun on our trip.” He reminded them before lowering himself to his haunches and awaiting their escort.
He had the energy of a squirrel, and was all but vibrating when the group stopped, and his mother called to the side of their family he did not know. They were sworn to best-behaviour, and he did not want to let them down. If they proved themselves on this trip, maybe they would get another, right? “Yes mum, yes dad, promise!”
A tiny woman, an old man, and some very rowdy looking children greeted her, and Venom was sure there would be no threat from this group. She wore a familiar smirk as she approached, sunset gaze wandering from each pup before lingering on Rhyme’s large frame and finally settling on Samara. ”Aunt Samara?” She asked, but assumed herself correct. ”My mother does not currently reside in Ashen, and you’re looking at its new Empress.” A pale brow pulled up in question. ”I see you’ve brought little cousins to meet?”
Hela was doing her duties here and there, patrolling, checking and doing whatever she sought to do. After the birth of her children, her responsibilities grew and sometimes it felt extenuating but it had to be done. But it was good that they weren't needy as she has seen other pups do, so she could be thankful of such a fact. As she went through the borders upon coming further she found herself hearing a call and soon she saw a big surprise. Samara, her kids, and a male stood on their borders. Venom was already there, and with an smirk, she approached. "Oh my, what do we got here." She stood by Venoms side. "Hey dear sister, pleased to see you here." She said like poisoned honey as she always did. "Speech" |
